Halloween's seemingly innocent words hit a spot in Fortinbras' mind. How he would love to have a child of his own flesh and blood, but that was not something he had ever considered until Halloween and Verridith came into his life. He had grown very attatched to the both of them and thought of them as his own family. There were things in his life, in the past, that he did not want to share with Halloween. She really had changed him into a different horse, not that she would ever know that. He was a womanizing stallion wh ohad a new girl every other week. That was not something he was proud of anymore. It used to be the only thing that kept him going and happy. Now all he needed was Halloween.
"I never wanted to before. Nor did I ever have the opportunity. You know, I used to think children were very annoying and worthless. Then I met you and Verridith and something inside me changed. I'm not sure what it was, but I considered you both very close to me. Family if you will. I still feel that way and there is nothing that can ever change that. I will always think of the both of you as my family and I will go to any lengths to protect you and keep you happy. You mean the world to me and I love you." Fortinbras said, not realizing how much came tumbling out of his mouth at once.
