As she caught up to him, he moved on leading her o his land. They walked for a while until they reached a wall of mountains. Lassan lead them through a pass in the mountain. They walked for a few more minutes until they came upon another opening. "Well here it is, Terra Delle Liberta. Its just through this pass here." He walked through to a ledge on the cliff side that over looked the main valley and forrest of Terra Delle Liberta. He moved over so River could join him on the ledge.

She followed quitely, once again watching the world pass by. Her eyes took in everything. Questions bubbling up about the lands around her. As they entered the pass, River felt her excitment grow. She stepped lightly, her tail flagging out behind her. As they reached the ledge River steppde forwards. At his side she looked out over her new stallion's lands. It was beautiful. Gazing out over the main valley, River couldn't help a gasp floating from her maw. "It is lovely... an it is yours..." she looked at him as she spoke, before turning her blue head back to the valley. "May we go down there?" She asked him, a slightly pleading tone to her voice.

"Yes, it is all mine." he replied to her question about the ownership of the lnds. He flicked his black bnner to kill flies tht were landing on his hindquarters. "Of course we may go down. Follow me and watch your step." He turned a bit nd went down path from the ledge on the cliff side that led to the min valley. That large vlley was only small part of his land. Many lands like his were all over the islnd juist waiting to be found. "I hope you like it River." he said as their daggers hit the soft light green grass.

Stepping carefully and with caution, River made her way down behind the black stag. She arched her neck, lifting her tail with pride. She had never been in a stallion's herd that had such a vast land. Feeling the ground soften to grass and dirt, River stepped past him, moving a few strides further into the valley. She stopped sharply, head up and ears pricked. Then suddenly she spun on her hind legs to face him. Tossing her head she bounded towards him, nickering at him she started to circle him, prancing about like a filly.

Lassan watched the blue and moon splashed vixen walk past him. He hoped she would enjoy it here. As she trotted around him he said "Would you like to go for a run River?" He picked up his pace to a medium trot as he followed her. He made a larger circle and broke into a caner. He bucked twice and look to River hoping she would say yes to going for a run. He flicked his ebonite banner and let out a whinny.

With an answering whinny, River broke into an uneven lope. She bucked before scooting forwards to catch up to him. Once nearer to him she slowed to a choppy jog, aiming towards him but waiting him to take off. She wasn't sure which way they were running.

"This way River." He said as he burst into a gallop into the woods, running along the dirt path that had been worn from hooves walking on it. He ran until he came to a waterfall and the river it fede. He slowed and jumped in to the water which was chest high for him. He looked back to River.

With a flick of her smoke tipped banner, River darted forwards, bounding after her stallion in short but swift strokes of her socked legs. Stretching her neck out before her she followed his tail, watching the trees flash past. Dark trunk, light gap, dark trunk, light gap, dark light, dark light. It was insane, she was used to open plains for this business. Atleast at her age. Long ago she would run through trees to escape, but now it was for fun. River followed the dancing tassle ahead, watching the flicking light until suddenly the roaring filled her ears. No longer just the constant thunder of her hooves, but something else. Breaking out of the shadowed trees she saw the waterful and slackened her pace. A change in movement ahead drew her attention back to Lassan. He was aiming for the river. Lassan then did something she didn't expect. He jumped in. Excitiment boiled through River and she charged after him. At a pace she aimed for the river. Then, last minute she propped, stopping for the slightest moment, before launching herself into the water. Her legs prepared for the jarring thud of the waterbed, when it came she pushed off again, bouncing upwards to land in the water again with a splash. She wadded outwards, hunting for a deeper length of water. Looking over at Lassan she gave a happy whinny and dunked her maw, drinking in the cool liquid before lifting her nose out sharply, drops of water flying. Her coat had darkened, marking her seem grey, and gluing her mane to her neck. She was in her element and loving it.

Lassan watched her as she lept into the cool water of the river. He smimled. It looked like the water was where she belonged, like it was her home. "Do you like it River?" He asked her most likely already knowing the answer. "So if you don't mind me asking, wha was your old land like?"

As he spoke, River was currently swimming circles, just enjoying the feel of the water rushing down her blue hide. "I am loving it!" She answered with a small chuckle. At the mention of her old home, the mare stopped circling and wadded over to him. Still dripping water, she moved up next to him and stood by his side, a more serious tone, though this time not sad, showing in her voice as she spoke. "My homeland was mainly rough and dry. Man call it Australia. To us it really has no name. It is beautiful in its harshness. Dry in summer and snowing in winter. Spring though... ahhh it is perfect then. The land itself is mainly highlands, with cliffs, valleys and some random flats spread about it. The creeks are many but shallow, with only one of two large rivers. Lakes though there are alot. Deep and cold. Down the flats you could run for miles then pull up quick before you hit the trees." River chuckled here, smiling at memories. She looked at Lassan and lowered her head slightly. "Forgive me, I am carrying on like an old brood mare." She couldn't help it. Though she would never go back, she missed her home.

He was glad she liked the fall and river it fed. He watched her as she waded closer to him. She then began to talk about her hommelnd. It sounded lovely to Lassan. When she finished and said to forgive her like carrying on he replied. "I do not think you are carrying on like an old brood mare. You miss your home. I would too. It sounds lovely. Well as you can see the climate and terrian are a bit different than in Australia. Oh and thats a new place to me. Australia. I have heard of other countries such as France, United States, Ireland where my mother was from and England where my father was from. Have you heardm of any of those before?" Lassan liked to find new things out all the time. It was like he needed tp know about them.

River gave a little sigh and pulnged her nostrils into the water, blowing bubbles like a foal. She used to do it alot, though with age comes maturity and the lost of simple entertainments. Though is looked like a childish act, River's mind was thinking. Well, yes. It was just a childish act but at the same time she was trying to remember those names. France sounded familiar. Lifting her muzzle clear of the water she licked her lips then spoke. "The united states... yes, I have heard men call it that. I have heard of it, but never beent here. It is said to have wild horses there. Mustangs i think they are called." River hadn't gotten that far. Yet. "I have been through the isle crossing. It is too the north of Australia. It is how I left. Then on through what the men call "asia." She looked at him, not sure what else to say on the matter. It was a rough journey, crossing Southern Australian to the hot dessert north. To then swim through the currents, from island to island. Travelling was something she enjoyed, but it certainly took a toll on ones body. No doubt she would die young. But for now, she was content.

Lassan watched her as she stuck her velvety maw in the water to blow bubbles. He remembered when his mother had shown him how to do that when he was just a little colt. 'Yes, I used to know one of the Mustang breed. She was killed htough in battle. I knew her when I was much younger." He sighed. He remembered her. She was like his older sister. He was all but nine months old when she was killed. She was three then. Her name was Katie. She was a tall buckskin mare. He would never forget her or the fun times they had together, even though he was a foal and she was fully grown. He paused for a moment and then said "It seems like you have traveled a good portion of the world."

River touched his shoulder gently in sympathy. She had lost many and knew the feeling. Turning her head away, she gazed out towards the water, realizing the pair were still standing chest deep in the current. Her legs were a little tingly, no doubt they would go numb. She ignored it though, enjoying having this talk with Lassan. "Yes, I guess I have..." SHe was silent. Thinking about it. She couldn't think of a time when she had settled down. Not since the foal.

He smield a bit sadly as she touched his shoulder. He should probbly try and forget about Katie once again. This was the first time he had talked or thought about his friend for almost a year now. He had tried to block the memories so he would not be sad twenty four seven. "It must be interesting seeing all those places. I have never been off this island. I want to, but to tell you the thruth I am mafraid. Not afriad to go out and see the world, my fear is the humans. My mother and father lived with humans before they came here. They said that their humans were wonderous, but other humans were not. I'm just afriad that if I do go else where, a human will capture me, and I enjoy being free. I'd like to keep it that way."
