"Alright then follow me." He turned and led her over the main valley to a well worn path that led to the woods. "I'll show you the woods first and then I'll show you where us horses go to swim and get drinks." He led her around the winding path. bout fifteen minutes later they were greeted by the sound, smell and sight of a waterfall and small river. "Well here it is. There is so much more to this land. We should most likely get a drink and rest for a minute here." He stepped forward and dipped his black velvet muzzle into the cool, clear water that was in the pool below the fall. He brought his ebony dial back and looked to Asianne. "If you don't mimnd me asking you Asianne, what kind of horse breed are you? I'm just curious." He did want to know. Maybe she was a mixed breed, a pure bred, or maybe even a pure blooded Island Horse, the native breed to this land, but they were so rare. He looked to her with his black optics awaiting her reply. ooc// my muse is starting to come back. yay!

The running stream wet her muzzle as she drank from the cool waters. Asianne lifted her finely crafted head, perfect spheres of water droplets resting on her muzzle. Blinking in the serene daylight, she replied "I am not purebred, but crossbred. My lines trace back to ancient Maremmano and Arabian faes that explored the great terrains, but I am most proud to share that I share my dam's Cavallo Dell'Isola blood."
She swiftly flicked her tail, blue-black in the light. "My dam was a purebred, making me a half-bred Cavallo Dell'Isola, and the other half a cross of many breeds. A heavy influence in my sire's breeding was the magnificant Arabian, the so-called purest and most beautiful of all breeds."
Asianne admired Lassan's profile, the dished nose and raised tail so common of the Arabian breed. A handsome stag, he stood at approximately 16hh, and Asianne stood beside him slightly smaller at 15.3hh. She nuzzled his shoulder, displaying the affection she already felt towards him. Her globes shun with her inquisitive and forthcoming nature. "It is getting warmer. Perhaps a swim later would be refreshing. Shall we continue?"

Lassan listened as she spoke about her breeding. As she said about her heratige, he could now tell. He was surprised and a bit delighted that she was of Cavallo Dell'Isola blood. There were purebloods around, but they were rare. A horse that had part Cavallo blood was sometimes rarer. "Do you know what Elemental herd or herds you are decended from?" He wondered if she even knew about the elementals. "Yes lets continue. What type of terrain would you like to visit next?"

It all was clearer to her now; she had heard talk of the Elemental Herds only recently, and the image of her dying mother sprang into her mind. Her rough, pale-gray coat held a small symbol on the left side of her neck, that of a soaring bird. Though however faint her memory was, she was sure of the marking on her neck, and it was the very same as was told to be on those in the Wind Herd.
Sharing this information with Lassan, she pawed at the ground tentatively. "Lassan, did you descend from any elemental herds?" she asked, looking at the stag thoughtfully. She had known Lassan only a small amount of time, but was really enjoying his company.
She felt like going for a run, perhaps a swim too. "I really am feeling very energetic, Lassan. Maybe if we find a nice stretch, we could go for a gallop. To cool off, we could take a dip in a stream or ocean. What do you say?"

So she is descended from the Wind Herd members. She then asked Lassan if he was descended from any of the Elemental Herds. "Sadly I am not." he said in reply to her question. "My parents were both Arabains. They came to this isle from Ireland and England. But you should take great pride in being descended from the great Elementals. I only ever knew of them because of talk from my mother's friend when I was younger. My mother friend was descended from the Fire Herd and the Love Herd."
He paused as she spoke once again. She asked if there was a place to run. "Yes, just up ahead there is a grassy area will nice hills. Its a great place to run. It just another five minutes or so up the path." He led her to the direction of the path.

After a few minutes of trekking, the path came to a large grassed area. It was truly the perfect place for a run, and they both stopped. Their eyes met, and Asianne could see that Lassan also ached for a gallop. "Ready?" she teased, dizzied by the pulse rushing through her veins. Her muscles bunched as she pushed off the ground, tearing through the long grass at such a speed. Her stride lengthened, and she felt the coolness of the breeze being replaced by heat creeping up her flanks.
Taking a sidewards glance at Lassan, they raced on side-by-side. A fallen tree was ahead, looming ever-closer. Asianne seized the moment, collecting herself and driving up and over the metre-high trunk. Skidding as she landed, she continued to gallop along the terrain, her body glistening with sweat. Her black daggers struck the ground, the striking of her hooves echoing throughout the land. They began to tire after such a long sprint, slowing to a canter, trot, and eventually a walk.
Her hindquarters swayed as they walked. Asianne’s ears perked at the sound of running water up ahead. They trotted towards the sound, anticipating a swim in the cool waters of the stream.

As they came upon the large, frassy hills, Asianne asked him if he was ready. He nodded his refined Arab head. He gathered his ebony pillars beneath him and pushed off with his powerful hindquarters. His legs ate up th ground as they ran. They raced on at the same pace, their hooves falling in rythm with each other. Lassan snorted and bucked, but still stayed next to Asianne. His Arab tail was held up behind him, streaming in the wind.
They were aproaching a fallen log. Lassan sized it up, it was about a mter high. He could easily jump that. No problem. As he reached it he gracefully jumped it, landly nicely on the other side. The two pounded on. They soon slowed. They had been running for a while now.
His audits swivled as he heard the sound of water up ahead. It was a river and a pond ahead. He had been there three times before. They broke back into a trot as they came to it. Lassan broke into a canter and jumpmed right in the water, looking to Asianne waitng for her to join him.

Asianne tossed her head, breaking her stride to join with Lassan's canter. Water misted her vision as they ran into the water, spraying their bodies with fresh water. She waded through the water at a trot and then, coming to a drop off, raised her nostrils above the surface and started paddling through the water.
She could no longer reach the sandy bottom, and the warmness of the stream was purifying. She tried with vain not to wet her mane, but shrugged off that hope as she dove right under, soaking herself. Asianne disappeared from sight for several minutes, before attempting to surprise Lassan by shooting from the watery depths beside him.
He shied slightly, but that was his only physical reaction. She pawed at the water, spraying him, before paddling out to deeper waters once more.
ooc // Ughh, no muse, sorry. Got bored I spose. Really sorry.

Lassan watched her as she jumped in behind him. She walked to where the drop off began and then she started to swimm there. He walked deeper until he could no longer feel the sand beneath his feet.
Lassan saw Asianne dive under the water. He dove under as well to see if he could find her. He could not. He brought his ebony head back out of the cool water. He paddled in place as he looked at the water's surface to see where she would surface. He then moved to where he could touch as he was waiting for her.
Next thing he knew she popped out beside him. He snorted a bit and backed up. She had actually scared him. She pawed at the water and sprayed him. He put his head in the water and brought it out fast, spraying back Asianne. He whinnied and swam mout in the deeper water.

She laughed, tossing her head as he retaliated. After splashing each other and generally mucking around for a while, she stepped out of the shallows and onto the earth again. She shook her coat out, a fine mist of water dampening her surroundings. Her coat was ruffled from the water.
Snorting, Asianne dropped to her knees and lay down. She rolled happily, mixing her wet coat with the dirt, creating a muddy layer. She could see Lassan surveying her movements, so she raised once again and entered the water, washing herself clean.
When the mud had dissolved in the river, she stepped out on the soil, looking eastwards. She had cooled from the previous run, and felt almost drowsy. Dusk was falling, and the sweet scent of Spring filled the air.
ooc // ARGHH. Lost it again. Sooooo sorry it took so long to reply, I stayed at my Grandma's for a few days.

They romped and splashed around for a while until Asianne pulled her self out of the cool water. Lassan watched her as she got out and laid down in the dust. She rolled, splashing her wet coat with a thick layer of dust that quickly turned into mud. She turned back and went back into the river. She then got back out when the mud had been rinsed from her coat.
Lassan walked out and shook off just as a dog does. He snorted and threw his refined dial up to the sky. His orbs searched the sky. The sun was beginning to go down. He looked to a rather drowsy Asianne and asked her "Would you like to finmd spot to rest for the night." ooc// low muse

She nodded in reply, the prospect of rest relieved her. Stifling a yawn, Asianne shook her forelock from her multi-coloured orbs, the left a blue so unlike the auburn of her right. A night's rest would help her spinning head, trying to take all that had changed in the space of a single day.
It all started with the blue roan mare by the name of River… she was the first one to find her in the beautiful Belle Valle. This kind, strikingly-coloured mare had shown her into her terra, and was even the reason for her meeting of Lassan. Asianne glanced at the stag as they walked, his lengthened stride setting the pace.
She paused momentarily to look at the setting sun, the clouds alight in vibrant shades of crimson and indigo. The warmth of the skyline reflected with the Spring heat, and she felt euphoric at where she was right now. Their bodies parted the long grass, the furry growth of the stems brushing against their chests. "This looks suitable," Asianne commented as they came to a section of shorter grassland.
Exhaling, she dropped to her feet and lay down. She looked at the stallion, and thought it strange that she was spending the night with a horse that didn't even share the same herd as her. Scratching her cheek against the earth, she dismissed that thought. Asianne trusted Lassan, and knew that nothing controversial would take place during the night.
For tonight was no special occasion, just two equines sharing a fast friendship.
OOC // I tried to keep it clean haha. Asianne is hoping to officially join the herd soon -hint, hint- :L

The more time Lassan spent with Asianne, the more he was greatful to have her in his herd. He was glad River found her and brought her 'home'. He reminded himself to say thank you to River when ever he got the chance to tell her. She was probably out running in his land or on the island some where. He allowed his mares permissions to run about the island. If they had a free spirit like him, he knew they needed to run out of their home boundries. He was the same way.
Lassan looked to Asianne. She had paused to looked at the brilliant sunset. He too turned his dial upward and focused his ebony optics on the painted colours in the clouds. Asianne began walking once again. they moved through a feild with chest high grass. They soon came upon a section with shorter grass. Lassan turned his head as Asianne said that this spot would do.
He looked around the small green field as Asianne laid down in the grass for the night. Lassan snorted and walked over to her as she rubbed her check against the hard earth below. He laid down next to her and looked up to the sky. He was waiting for the moon and stars to come out. The sky was still splashed with many shades of red, purple and orange. There were only a fwe clouds this night. He snorted and rested his head on the ground still looking up to the heavens above.

They lay in the soft grass, watching the sky. The colours of the sky twisted and gradually faded into darkness, dimming the scene around them. Staring into the clouded sky, stars began appearing. It started with a handful, but before long the heavens were lit by tiny illuminations.
Closing her eyes softly, she breathed through her nostrils and began reciting the childhood rhyme in her head.
Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight… Wish I may, wish I might, grant this wish I wish tonight…
Asianne opened her eyes at the sound of the stag’s gentle breathing. Smiling, she decided not to ask anything of the stars.
Her wish had already been granted.

His black orbs watched until the sky was lit up with many many glowing white orbs. His lids were drooping fast. This was going to be the first goo nights sleep he had in a while. The last time he actually slpet through the night was last week. Since then until now he had just slept a few hours a night. He sighed. It was a great night. Not to hot and yet not to cold. He skies were clear and the stars were out. And most of all he had Asianne next to him.
He looked over to her. she seemed to be asleep or almost asleep. He smiled and shifted his body a bit before closing his optics once more. The calming soud of crickets, frogs and Asianne's slow breathing made him fall into a deep sleep.
He awoke thw next morn just as the sun was peeking over the cliff tops. He shifted his body and looked around. He did not yet get up, he just laid there watching Asianne sleep, waiting for her to rise.
