The ebony stallion moved in and out of the trees like a snake on the prowl with a smug smirk on plastered on his face. The only sound that could be heard in the dark forest was the soft humming coming from the stallions pursed lips as his gold eyes locked on something in the distance. With a flick of his tail, Crowley picked up an over exaggerated trot, looking like a circus pony prancing in the ring. If there was one thing that the mischievous stallion liked to do, it was flaunt himself around like a parade. When he wanted to be noticed, Crowley immediately made himself the center of attention, drawing in stares from every living creature around.
"Well speak of the devil, look who it is!" Crowley exclaimed as he approached a grove of trees. "And here I thought you were long gone." he said with a small frown. The stallion slowed his pace to a walk that resembled a lazy saunter more than a walk. "So tell me brother, what brings you around? I just hope you aren't after the same thing I am, or we might have a bit of trouble." he asked, a Cheshire grin spreading across his face. It had been a few years since Crowley had last seen his brother. He was half convinced that his brother did not exist anymore, but then again that would be very improbable. One would think that he would at least wander into the Death herd just by happenstance. Crowley was just happy to see him again.
The two horses looked so much alike that the only way to tell them apart was their eyes and, of course, the way they carried themselves. Crowley always had an amused smirk on his maw and a mischievous glint in his eye. His movements were always a bit dramatic and he could make one hell of a scene when he wanted to. His brother on the other hand was less... flamboyant to say the least.
Sebastian sighed and closed his eyes as he heard light footfalls approaching him and the all too familiar scent of his brother. Crowley always found some way to locate him. It was not that he disliked his brother, but Crowley had some sort of special talent for finding trouble. "I see you're still out looking for trouble Crowley." Sebastian said as he turned around to face the grinning Reaper.
"What else would I be doing?" Crowley asked, tilting his head. The stallion inched closer to his brother, trying to see what he was doing over here, only to see nothing of interest in the surrounding area. "So tell me, are you waiting for some poor, unfortunate soul to pass by here? It's easier if you just go out and find 'em instead of letting them come to you you know. But why am I telling you this? Never reveal tricks of the trade." Crowley rambled on.
"Patience is a virtue and good things come to those who wait. You've always been too impatient. You should try this for once and see what a difference it makes." Sebastian said, nodding to where he had previously been standing.
"Nah, that waiting stuff is just too boring. I have better things to be doing anyway. Besides, I don't find them, they find me." Crowley said, nodding his head in the direction that Sebastian had previously been facing.
"I'm sure they do." Sebastian said, rolling his eyes a bit. There were so many times he just wanted to kick the arrogance out of his brother, but Crowley would be Crowley no matter what anyone said. Crimson optics followed Crowley's line of vision as the stallion nodded. Of course. Why did another horse have to be wandering around right when Crowley said that. It would only feed his over-inflated ego even more.
Crowley lifted his muzzle in the air, closing his cat-like eyes and drawing in a deep breath. "Ooo, young blood. You just gotta love those innocent souls." he commented. "I would go get him myself, but seeing as you've been waiting here for who the hell knows how long, I guess you can have him." Crowley said with a sigh, acting as if he was doing Sebastian a major favour.
Sebastian had quit paying attention to his brother as his focused remained on the young colt. How strange for a horse of his age to be wandering out all alone in a land like this without his mother or father present. There were so many things hiding in the darkness that would just love to see something happen to the little roan.
"- and now I know you are no longer paying any attention to me, I guess this is where I take my leave. Sebastian, you should come back to the homelands when you feel like it. They are so dreary and dull there. There's only one other who can actually have intelligent conversations. With you there it might not be as lonely. See you around brother." Crowley said, turning around and loping off in the direction from which he came.
Sebastian threw a glance over his shoulder at his brother's retreating form. Perhaps he could humour the stallion and show up for a few days, but for now he was currently focused on the young colt in front of him. With cat-like grace, the Reaper moved through the tight grove of trees, successfully blending in with the rest of the shadows as his red eyes locked onto the colt, waiting to make his move.

The youth stood utterly still, immersed in thoughts as the colt tried to figure out who his family killer was and those who humiliated him. Ciel blue eye caught glimpse of movement off to the side from his hidden stance of trees, though he knew he was still in plain sight. The colt remained out of the way as they spoke. Such idle small talk. Pointless, not even worth his worrying in attention, still he listened to them. Maybe this other horse, who claimed the colt's caretaker as his brother. Ciel still stood utterly still, other than a blink now and then, breathing here and there. The small talk to two brothers had was proven a waste as Ciel immediately went back to thought, thinking it was time to move from his placing. He could feel the red eyes in the shadows watch him as the colt thought of a place to travel through were they might get word of such information they need to get. Ciel turned his head slightly in Sebastian's direction, trying not to loose a train of his thought. "Sebastian. Let's go." Simply spoken. Easily understood, as Ciel picked up his feet walking in a direction he knew they had not went in yet, wanting to find whatever he can to cater his need for vengeance.

Ever vigilant audits twitched as the young horse vocalized his impatience by informing Sebastian that it was time to go. The roan did not waste any time in sticking around as he started to move forward, not even bother to glance back to see if the Reaper was following him. Sebastian looked behind him once more, wondering if Crowley had decided to stick around for some strange reason. With a small sigh, the ebony stallion broke into a swift walk, his large strides quickly eating up the ground until he was just behind his young master.
If only Crowley could see him now, what he had gotten himself into. That damned brother of his would call him a fool for making such a silly deal with Ciel. Hell, Crowley would probably try and talk him out of it, or just kill the boy himself. Sometimes that stallion needed to learn the finesse of dealing with the horses who possessed souls that made horses like Sebastian desire them more than anything in the world. Luckily, Crowley was not around to start speaking his mind about the subject.
His garnet optics flicked to the sky as a crack of thunder roared over head. What a perfect patch of weather to fit in with the mood of this land. Where they were headed to next, not even Sebastian could answer that. "Are you sure you would not like to retire for the night? It seems as if we have some bad weather coming our way." Sebastian suggested to him, not wanting to have the colt marching through the pouring rain, especially since the temperature had been dropping quite significantly day by day.

The youth didn't bother to glance at the sky to see how bad the storm is brewing above them. But the eye free from concealment glanced back at the horse who now followed him on Ciel's will. "Perhaps I should." He said, before looking forward once more. There was a moment where the colt stood still for a moment, eye closed as if something flashed in his own mind like the thunder over head cracked again. But behind closed lids, there was only a picture, the one engraved deeper in his mind. The dark day where he lost his pride he once had, the same day he lost all he had loved. The colt snorted. Such tedious thing of him. To be constantly looking back when he was be looking forward to find his revenge. The blue lid of the roan showed his bright blue eye. "But letting a mere storm impede me, such a trifle. Unnecessary and a waste of time. Today has only proved more of a waste. No one is here that was of any help. Besides, I am not even tired yet." The colt soon stopped talking as he went on to march to where ever it was he needed to go, which wasn't clear to him. He just knew wasting his time over a simple storm was something not to stop him in his need to find revenge.

Sebastian remained silent as Ciel voiced his displeasure with the looming storm and how his efforts had proven to be a fruitless quest on this dreary day. It was almost comical how determined the colt was to get his revenge, going out of his way everyday, searching, not quite knowing for sure what or who he was looking for. On the contrary, it was almost sad to see such a young soul already filled with so much hate and inner turmoil. The world had not been kind to young Ciel for the time he had been on this earth. It was always sad when one had to find out the cruelties of life before they even had a chance to experience what good things life could bring.
For as young as he was, the trials and tribulations that had plagued the youngster had hardened him, creating a revenge driven horse. His boyish spirit had been replaced by that of someone much older. It was strange how he could look so young and innocent, seemingly oblivious to the world around him as a colt should be, yet he knew and lived through more than many adult equines had. The fates were obviously not on Ciel's side.
Crimson optics flicked skyward as the ebony stag felt the cool sting of rain on his back. Bring on the storm. As long as the roan in front of him was willing to trek through the cold shower, so was Sebastian. Anywhere Ciel went, he followed like an obedient servant. As they moved forward, Sebastian's eyes locked on the roan colt as if he were a tiger stalking his prey. It was strange how much he wanted this one, more so than any other soul he had encountered. There was just something so alluring about Ciel that he had turned into a sort of obsession for the raven Reaper.
As the rain began to beat down, Sebastian lengthened his stride, moving closer to Ciel, until he was just off to the side behind the smaller equine. The dark clouds only helped the already darkening sky along, creating a strange light that was cast on the surrounding area. The strange blue-grey hue seemed to signal some kind of immense sadness as the little light that there was danced across objects, creating distorted, elongated shadows. Despite the wind rustling the dying trees, there was an eerie silence that swept across the land, engulfing it like a furious wave. In all the oddities of the weather, Sebastian pursed his lips as he began to absent mindedly hum a strange tune, his ruby optics locked on the lithe body of Ciel.

Ciel glared skyward as the rain fell harder. Why does it persist to become a mere pest to what the colt wanted. He snorted as his return the land. The blue grey color of the lighting washed out his hue in the roaning of his coat. He could feel the iciness behind each bitter drop that fell on his coat. Yet, this was summer. The coolness felt good as it chilled him to his bones. His eye caught from the corner of them as Sebastian eased his way next to him now, watching him with the red spheres inside of his head. Ciel chose to continue to look forward as he listened to the rain's rhythm beat across the land, trees, leaves, their flesh. Ciel heard humming start to come from his caretaker beside him, something that seemed to lull him into tiredness. The youth stayed focused on the ground before him, trying to block out the humming, though he really didn't want to. It was all in vain. The colt half sighed, half yawned at himself. "Perhaps I was wrong about myself earlier... I am starting to feel tired slightly." he voiced, glancing over at Sebastian, not pleased by his sudden change in how he felt at the moment.

Sebastian's eyes had returned to focusing on the path in front of them as the rain continued to pour down. It was when Ciel began to voice his new found feeling of being tired that the Reaper's eyes returned to the boy. A knowing smirk crossed Sebastian's maw when Ciel had finished speaking. Sebastian always seemed to know what the colt needed before Ciel figured it out for himself. It was just one of Sebastian's many talents that he possessed. Though it was not a very useful one, it enabled him to see to it that the colt was as happy as a normally sullen boy could be.
Taking the roan's words to heart, Sebastian lifted his head and surveyed the area for somewhere they could take shelter from the storm for the night. It did not take long for the Reaper to detect a tightly packed group of trees in the distance. That looked like it would keep the rain off them. Crimson eyes returned to the roan's body at the thought of rain. The colt was soaking wet and was probably catching a chill. Even though it was summer, it was unusually cold and windy. The rain would normally bring relief on a summer's day, but this storm had different ideas. It was almost as if they had been placed in a different season with the way the weather had been acting as of late.
"That grove of trees up ahead would provide adequate shelter for the night." Sebastian said as they approached the said bunch of trees. The stallion lightly touched his muzzle to the young horse's flank, guiding him toward their new home for the night. The light seemed to fade away as they entered, the canopy of the trees blocking what little light the stormy night sky had to offer. Sebastian felt more than comfortable in the dark. It was second nature to him, hiding in the darkness. As for his young master, darkness was a close friend who always welcomed Ciel into it's engulfing embrace.
His crimson eyes never left the lithe body of the roan colt as they moved along to the driest spot they could find. It was strange how he hungered for the colt, but could not have his way until the boy's dying day. It was strange how much Ciel had an effect on him. Why did he have to make a contract with the colt? Sebastian could not even answer that question himself. All he knew was that the desire he felt, the need for this colt was unbearable at times, yet he could not harm him. His time would come and Sebastian would be ready.

Ciel stared at Sebastian as he moved on ahead to find a place for him to bed down at. It was a moment later that the dark colt stepped after the dark figure, his eyes seeming to hold disinterest in them. Boredom was in his mind, as well as fatigue. The colt shook the shortened mane that was just long enough now to lay flat to his neck, yawning slightly. He didn't care if the spot was perfectly dry, though he knew he would in the morning. He was just exhausted. Ciel wasn't bothered by the fact it was almost pitch black to where his butler was taking him. Ciel sighed as he had begun to settle to the spot, glancing over at his guardian for the time being. He wondered how long would it be. How long would it be until his soul would be ripped from him. It was useless to him right, but still, he wondered how long... Until he felt his revenge. The youth watched the reaper for a moment, trying to force back any need for the devil horse. Darkness maybe be something he was comfortable with, but even he knew not to play with something that could kill you.

Sebastian was not one to miss Ciel glancing at him. What was the colt thinking? Sebastian always wondered what went on inside that dark mind. Sebastian was well aware that Ciel was not a normal colt. In fact, he was far from it. Normal colts his age were supposed to be carefree little things who wanted nothing more than to play around all day, follow any male figure in their life, and please their mothers. They were the ones, the innocent, naive creatures, who rarely had their eyes opened to the truth about the world around them. Ciel had been exposed to the evils of the world at a very young age and it had changed him. The constant brooding demeanor Ciel had was almost intimidating for such a young equine. He may be young in age, but that was just a number. Psychologically and emotionally, the roan colt was more mature then most adult horses on the island. Sebastian had come across quite a few childish idiots during his time on Isola Dei Dei that it almost seemed like a miracle that Ciel was who he was.
Crimson optics remained fixed on the colt as he settled in for the night. A small frown tugged at the corners of Sebastian's mouth as Ciel chose a dampened spot on the forest floor of dead leaves and fallen pine needles. The young horse was going to chill himself to the bone. His coat was already drenched with the cold rain, and now he was laying in an area a frog would be rather content with. Sebastian could tell the colt was too tired to care, but he would later regret it, for he was not the horse most suited for climates like this.
"Bocchan, are you sure you want to lay down here?" Sebastian questioned, hoping the colt would break through his tired state and realize that he was probably making a mistake. "You're already cold and wet. This won't make it any better." he said, moving closer to the roan. A devious smirk danced on the ebony maw as the Reaper lowered his head. Sebastian's muzzle hovered inches away from Ciel's ear as he said "Of course, sharing body heat is a practical way to heat up another horse's body."

Ciel eye took to the nature of their color, cold, though it was a common for him to have himself appear stronger, fiercer. Those that would have been around him much through this would be something they were use to seeing and ignorable, he was sure. But he kept no one around him, other than the reaper because of the contract that had made. He did have reason in which to why he was the way he was. He say horrors no one actually saw till they are well into their own age, or sometimes even never. This caused his being to be different. For even a youth that he was, he knew full well he was intimidating to even those that was older than him. Probably because of the horror he saw twisted his mind, warped it. He can say anything and make it all sound worse than it really is. Ciel was fully aware he was more mature than most, at the most appropriate times, but one thing the colt would never admit was his childish errors he did make. The colt did have a child's jealousy, more extreme in than a regular child since the colt is mental more like an adult. It didn't help that his mind was already twisted with horror and swirling darkness. The tired thoughts run together by now though, as Ciel listened to Sebastian talk to him. Fatigue left him only thinking halfway, and with thoughts already ran together, he didn't think too much of what he could of said with all his real wit to let just drift off in his exhaustion. He looked at the reaper as he suddenly felt warmth and a lure of words near his ear, which twitched from the slight air that came at it. It took the colt a moment to gather up the energy to stand, glancing back at the reaper. Disoriented, he didn't even noticed the reaper actually say another name other than what the one he's owned since his birthing, not until the jumble thoughts connected for a moment before become remixed with new ones. "Then where is it you'd like me to be at?"
[/b] he spoke tiredly, watching the reaper. The thoughts came at him as feelings. Jumbled, rambled, mixed. He didn't understand them what so ever. The cold that he laid at didn't feel any different than his coat at the time. He didn't understand why he reconsidered in his sudden fatigue. Normally was all too stubborn to listen at first at all times to the reaper. The colt thought that he knew everything, but for once in the dark, he was lost so blindly. The reaper closely studied the young colt as his cold eyes flicked to the black stallion. The little roan had flinched as Sebastian's soft voice penetrated he cooling air, the warmth of his breath tickling Ciel's ears. Sebastian was actually surprised when the colt hoisted himself off the damp ground and asked where he should go. The colt had looked too tired to even lift his head, let alone hop right up and ask where he was wanted. Ciel normally did what he wanted, despite any suggestions from his caretaker. Nevertheless, Sebastian had already spotted a much dryer patch of forest floor a few strides deeper into the grove of the tightly packed trees. "This way." Sebastian said, nodding his head toward the darkness ahead. Figuring that the colt was already disoriented enough, the reaper positioned himself next to the colt and ushered him along with his velvety muzzle. Sebastian tended to forget that the average horse did not have the same abilities that his kind possessed.
Once the stallion felt the footing underneath his body change from a cold, sticky consistency to something a bit more suitable for his young master to spend the night, Sebastian stepped slightly in front of the colt, blocking his path. "What about here? I know it is not the best, but it seems to be better than anything else around this place." he said, his sanguine optics roaming through the densely packed foliage. Luckily most of the rain was currently being hindered by the canopy above them, save the cold mist that was produced from the rain that did get away.
Turning his attention back to the roan colt, something dangerous flitted across the stallion's features. How easy would it be to just end the boy right here? In the shadows of the night in this desolate place, no one would ever know what had occurred. every time he set his eyes on that damned boy a strong desire coursed through his veins. He was so small, so weak. He was nothing compared to the reaper at his side. Yet Sebastian would not harm him. If it were not for their contract, the reaper would currently be here alone. At first that was all that was keeping the stallion from tearing the colt apart was the stupid contract, now he was not sure that the contract was all of it. As much as he hated to admit it, Sebastian had developed some sort of fondness for Ciel. He might be stubborn and annoying at times, but there was something about the colt that grew on him.
Upon seeing Ciel's tousled mane, Sebastian reached forward and tried to flatten the offending patches of mane as best as he could. The reaper could almost laugh at himself. What was he becoming? Taking care of this colt had become second nature to him. It was his duty now. If only his brother and the others could see him. Crowley would surely say he was worse than a fussy mother at times. What ever monster lived deep inside the reaper had only been caged and held back because of this boy. Sebastian hated to admit it, but ever since he formed the contract with Ciel, he had changed. He was not sure if it was for the better or the worse, but he definitely knew that he was not the same horse he was before finding the broken soul he now called his.

Ciel was all to tired to argue his reasoning in just staying were he was for the night. The already drenched coat didn't feel any difference in the ground he was nestled in, but the youth knew well than enough that he was too exhausted as it was to judge anything properly. So he didn't stubbornly stay were he was. There wasn't enough energy in him to argue with the reaper, as he knew Sebastian could always get his way about somethings, proving the youth wrong. The colt stared into the darkness were his caregiver gestured out into. Even without the fatigue that was in him, Ciel would be blind to where the reaper was gesturing out too. Ciel slightly jumped at the pushing along Sebastian to were he gestured to. He wasn't use to the reaper ushering him off. It was the youth that went as he wanted. He went against everyone, going about his own thing. Ciel stepped along where the reaper lead him out, till he were his caretaker wanted him to be at. There was no leaky patches in the leaves and the branches above, but there was mist from the rain that drifted about. But come morning, it would most likely be all dry, if not, making miserable humid the whole day. The calming rain hadn't helped his fatigue. It only lulled him more to want to sleep. He laid in the spot that his caregiver asked him to, but he soon felt Sebastian's fussing about his mane. The colt pinned his ears back as he allowed himself to rest his head against the canons of his legs. Letting his eyes close, he decided to mention something about the stallion's fuss. "Why must you mess with that now? You know by morning it will need corrected once more. Senseless repetition as I see it."
[/b] The colt understood the caretaker's job was to fuss, but Ciel can tell himself that the reaper has gone soft on the colt now. He certainly different from the first day they met. It seemed as he wanted to tear him apart at every moment at first, but recently, the stallion seemed less and less wanting to do such a thing. Ciel knew the reaper was able to overpower him easily, not only that, Ciel didn't care no longer what would happen to himself, as long as he got his revenge. Nothing else honestly matter to him. Sure there were things that he had to take care in, but his revenge was above all the most important thing to the colt. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/color] Ciel ... Sebastian quit his messing with the colt's mane as Ciel questioned him about it. It was true, it was just going to need fixing again in the morning. It was quite pathetic. Sebastian was not supposed to be like some fussy mare doting on her child, making sure everything for him was perfect, making sure he was perfect. Sebastian was to help the roan gain his revenge in exchange for the young horse's delicious soul. As tempting as the thought seemed, it did not appeal to him as much as it had in the past. He had developed a fondness for his young master. Instead of caring and protecting him out of a contract alone, he seemed to be doing so of his own free will.
"Where are we planning to venture tomorrow bocchan?" Sebastian asked, moving slightly away from Ciel as his ruby orbs locked on the colt. Every single day the roan seemed to have a new place in mind they could go, continuing on with their quest to avenge his parents' death. Never had Sebastian met a soul as determined for revenge as Ciel was. Perhaps that was what had drawn him to the boy in the first place. He had a passionate, fiery hatred for those who wronged him and took away the things that truly mattered to him, that it was almost a sin not to want to get involved with his ultimate goal.
A soul like that was not a common thing and should be jumped at first thing. Sebastian was very particular about the souls he devoured. Only the best of the best came to him. Most the time he would seek them out, but there were those rare times when he just happened across them, which was the case with Ciel. The souls Sebastian went after were dark and had seen many horrors, yet they were still so pure. Ciel was the perfect candidate. He had been put through so much at such a young age. One day he had been a happy little colt playing fondly with his mother in a meadow, and the next his innocence had been stripped from him in every way imaginable. The colt had been through nightmares that other horses would never dream of and would often continue to plague him during the night. His once care free, naive heart had turned cold and black, exactly the thing Sebastian was attracted to.
As far as revenge went, there were times where they got very close to finishing their quest, but then they were thrown unexpectedly off their tracks and hurtled down a path that only ended with nothing. The past few weeks had only proved to be fruitless searches that left Ciel drained of his energy and in a generally angry mood. Sebastian was beginning to think that the colt was going to go mad from days of nothing. Perhaps tomorrow would be their lucky day. If Ciel did not know where he wanted to go, Sebastian figured that many they could take a journey to the land of his kind. It never hurt to ask for information from those you knew. Reapers had been around for a long time and were always in the know of the dark things that went on around the island. There was bound to be someone there who could help. Hell, Sebastian would even go drag Crowley out from where ever the amber-eyed devil was hiding and pry information from him. His brother always seemed to know what was going on.

Ciel remained still as the reaper pulled himself away from the task of fixing his the youth's hair. It often bugged the colt as to why the caretaker was so intent on perfection sometimes. Some things were meant to be executed perfectly, but there were those redundant things that were simply meant to be left alone for a day. Still, Sebastian was not doubt a reaper with a need for perfection. Ciel certain may be young and a little naive of somethings, but the youth was not blind. He certainly knew that the devil he held a contract with sought for the best of things. The colt almost drifted off when Sebastian asked where they would go off to next. "I have a couple places in mind, but I have my doubts we'll find anything for the time being, Sebby."
[/b] The colt finished, not putting much effort in his words to prove his better knowledge of words, nor that he wanted to take the extra energy to say the reaper's full name. "Why do you ask now? Do you have a place in mind?"[/b] He asked, the free eye glancing over at the reaper. Ciel was not one to let on that he held a fondness for someone. The colt wasn't interested in having friends, or anything more than that, yet he felt something for the reaper. He hid that well, but the colt was sure the devil knew. Sebastian had his way that allowed him to see right through the colt. To most others, Ciel would appear to a constantly angry asshole and bratty colt that felt that if he wasn't spending time searching for the perpetrators to his once peaceful, average life. For the most part, it was true. He thought it as a waste if he wasn't searching for the ones that flipped his life upside down. Even now in his exhaustion, he could only think it was a waste of time to sleep. It was so tedious. So redundant. Yet, he had to remember he was only an average horse compared to these other, immortal beings that could survive without sleep. It honestly pissed the colt off that most of those immortal horse had no agenda for themselves and get to live how ever they pleased, while Ciel was limited by his mortal factors and he just wanted revenge. It was perhaps why he made the silly contract with Sebastian in the first place. He needed an edge on his perpetrators. Unlike the colt, Sebastian had a way to get tings done more quickly as compared to him. That and the reaper had been around much longer, thus a better knowledge and better contacts than the colt, since he was isolated to a herd with only the basic knowledge of the island. Also, the colt as all too young to fight to get his revenge now, not near strong enough. All was fair to him with that in mind. But the colt would have rather done it all on his own, but that could of taken a long while and by then, they could already be dead and everything would have been in vain. It was a full confliction in him, but he rather get his revenge full on instead of doing work that would be in vain.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/color] Ciel ... FRIED OR FERTILIZED!? Sebastian almost felt bad for continuing to talk to the colt. Ciel seemed to be falling asleep while listening to the Reaper's voice. Of course, Sebastian did have one of those voices that one could easily fall asleep to, especially a worn out colt like the little roan. Ciel always seemed to be worn out. Sebastian knew that Ciel envied him for not having the need to sleep all the time like most horses did. The colt would probably rather go without sleep for days and continue on his fruitless mission. Sebastian was the one who made sure that Ciel got at least a minimal amount of sleep each night. If Ciel did not have him, the Reaper did not know what state of disarray the roan would be in, let alone if he would still be alive. As strong willed and mature as he was, the colt did not have the ability to protect himself from everything out there.
The stallion raised a brow and cocked his head slightly as his young master spoke. Sebby. There was a name that rarely fell from the roan's lips. He only ever seemed to call Sebastian such a nickname when he was very tired. Other than that, the Reaper's full name was always used. He had to admit, it was a much better nickname than the one that vile crimson Reaper had given him. Sebastian figured he should be thankful that he had a contract with Ciel. That meant he had to constantly be with the boy, which only meant less time away from where other Reapers may roam. A day without Grell was a fantastic day. Sebastian still could not understand why the feminine stallion had become so infatuated with him. That was a mystery for another day.
He was pulled out of his thoughts when Ciel asked him if he had a place in mind. Sebastian was not sure if Ciel was actually listening anymore, or if he would even remember what Sebastian had said in the morning, but he began to tell him anyway. "I think we might be able to find valuable information in a land called 'Territorio dei Morti'. It is a ways from here, but its not too bad of a journey." he told him. The journey was not any trouble for a horse like Sebastian, but for someone like Ciel there was danger lurking around every corner. Sebastian knew that if the boy was with him, he should be safe enough. Some other Reapers might not like the idea of the colt being around, for he was an easy target. A very desirable target at that.
"I will warn you that this land is unlike the others we have been to. It is essential that you always keep yourself alert to everything going on around there. There are horses there who would gladly devour you. They are horses like myself, only with a lot less class. Some of them could even be called 'rogue' by your kind. I don't mean to frighten you bocchan, but I want you to know what we are getting into." Sebastian told him seriously. The Repaer, of course, did not have to mention the fact that if any other Reaper tried something, he would be there to protect the colt. That was just something that came along with the contract. Ciel was not aware how overwhelming some Reapers could be. There were horses like Crowley who would toy with someone like Ciel, while others, the less civilized, r'rogue' Reapers would want to pick a fight in order to obtain the little roan. Nevertheless, Reapers seemed to know just about everything in one way or another.
