Scared of my Shadow raised himself with almost lazed abandon as the snow began to cascade upon him with more regularity. Unable to allow himself the pleasure of frozen pelt, his motions carried him farther in the reaches of the large vacancy of the meadow, seeking refuge under the frozen canopy. As motions tracked with leisurely stride, the painted stag observed the expanse of clouded heavens above him, as if an open canvas. Steam rose from ember nostrils as his movements stopped completely in dire concentration, contemplation. This moment was silence, unaccompanied for once without the innuendo of retreat or threat.
Relaxing slightly with the vague inclination to ease the tensity embedded into each fabric of the lining of his muscles, his long stilts braced themselves against aged bark for the illusion of support. With such a massive frame, Hollow had no longer trusted the hold of trees to not give way to his weight. Though light in appearance, it was deceiving for thick bones. His light expanse of pelting allowed near complete concealment in the dancing flakes of snow, baby blue eyes watching with attention, bent upon enjoying the splendor of weather offered.
A slight chuckle erupted in mere whisper from his throat as his mind wandered absently to how the others were holding up in the weather. Most where certainly better off then he, though his mind recalled the shivering of the strange colored mare when they had lasted crossed paths. He hoped the thinness of her coat would not harbor any bite, or illness. Frowning softly, he recalled the captivating colorations with fondness, wondering if he would see them again soon.

Rose looked the sky. Even though the sun was shining brightly, clouds full of water will drop it's rain, but the free fall to earth and the cold temperatures would cause to freeze and become a snowflake. There was a good amount of snow on the ground, but it wasn't as much of the Belle Valle had. Snow accumulated better there because it had no significant block. But here, the two large red rocks that resemble canyons stood tall, cause some decent blocking from the snow coming in. The mare sighed. The day was warmish. Nothing too significant, but is easier to endure other than the rest of the cold weather that has been happening. A shiver ran down her spine. She enjoy the beauty of the place, and the privacy she get's when she wants. She looked around to see no other horse around her at the moment, which made her feel better. She really wasn't ready just jump back into a herd life. She turned and walked from her view near the red rocks. She sighed, watching the snow that she kicked up from walking fall back to the ground. Her mind slipped into thought of how other horses treated her all in her life, but how different it seem with the larger stag, Hollow, and the arab stag and leader of the herd, Lassen. How they treated her differently, like the curse of the pink pelt she bore wasn't there.

"Welcome to Terra delle Liberta!" Lassan called out as they set foot into the canyon protected land. He hoped that Hollow and Rose would find this place to be to their liking. He was almost certain that they would. How could they not? Plus, it had to be warmer for the dainty Rose here than out in Belle Valle where winds would roll across the snow covered plains at high speeds, causing the wind chill there to be very unpleasant.
"Would you two like me to show you around, or would you like me to leave you to your own devices?" he asked. Lassan did not mind giving tours at all, but if he were new to a herd and had to choose, he would want to explaore it by himself. It amde things more exciting that way. Plus, if they did choose to go alone, they would learn their way around more quickly.

The cremello stallion tilted the tips of ears forth to capture the audios of the leader Lassan, the blue oculars immediately locking decidedly upon the small form some ways into the distance. Mind processing the information offered, Hollow raised his voice to extend a formal greeting before turning over what to offer as an answer. The company would be worth it, for sure, the paint had not conversed with a more pleasant horse, let alone stallion, in all his days. As he raised himself from the relaxed pose, his smooth gaits brought him forth with extended stride to where the former stood.
Despite wishing to be too bold and informal with the one who resided over him in position, rank, as well as many other countless things, Scared of My Shadow moved to his side with an airy breath of laughter. 'As sure as I may be that an adventure would be of more tasteful suite, the company would be worth ruining the surprise, if you do not mind the bother,' The depths of his blue eyes sparked with hinted interest as they found the familiarity of Ice Rose's strange pelting. As if to correct any falsity in memory, the large stag allowed himself another lingering glance upon her before turning once more to Lassan with his attention.

Rose decided to go at it all by her self. She was use to doing things by herself, and she wasn't into having to be pushed into something by someone else, or because she liked one. She like her individuality, except her coat. She felt eyes fall upon, and from the corner of her ice grey eyes, she saw the blue orbitals of the stallion, Hollow, shift to her for a few seconds then leaving her in the cold air, alone so that she may enjoy some more of alone time before she go met the herd, shyly, herself. She walked forward, getting use to the surrounding nows, holding her head a little higher, let her tail plum out a little more. She shook the slightly messy brown and red-tipped mane. She could feel the odd rose that rested, wrapped, on her tail as a very slight self-created wind blew past. She knew it was bloomed out some. The odd red rose on her tail always seemed to be part of her, reacting to her emotions just like the rest of her. She wasn't quiet sure why, or even how it's lived so long, since she had it even since she was born. The mare snorted happily she began to poke around some more.

Lassan cocked his head as he watched the odd coloured mare wander off by heself. Obviously she wanted to do this alone. The Arab mentally shrugged and looked back to the larger stallion who said that he did not mind if Lassan stayed with him to show him around. "Very well then, I guess we could follow a bit behind Rose." Lassan said, his eyes still on the pink mare.
Lassan began to walk forward through the main valley. "The entrance we came through it one out of two in this land. Liberta is very safe, seeing as beside only haveing two ways to get in, it is surrounded by these red-walled clifss as you can see." Lassan said, motioning with his head to the red rock that loomed over them. "The land is in a bottle shape, and right now, in this main valley, we are in the neck of the bottle." he continued. "So Hollow, where are you from?" Lassan asked, hoping to make conversation.

The painted stag Hollow could not stifle the choking sensation as he watched Ice Rose shrug both he and the other off to wander. Nostrils flaring with slight dejection, he then turned away with clipped emotions to partake in the act of being toured about. He listened with dutiful attentiveness, the traction made easy by Lassan's even choice of temperament. Ears flickering forth to gaze upon the sights that he himself was being versed to, Scared of My Shadow almost drowned in an intake of breath as the dark pelted stag asked him of his past live. With surprising ease, it took but a shattered snap for him to return with an answer, the truth in easy fashion, "Abandoned, as it would be," Hollow gave an airy sort of laughter, "I was a bit too much of a handful with my trickery for the humans to take kindly too..."
The cremello stallion was more than quite certain that the stallion Lassan had seen his far share of 'pets', though he wondered to himself with a slight frown that if...he thought any less of them. With a passing glance upon the scenery, a sigh seemed to exhale from the stag in memory, a fleeting sensation. That life was so faded it was hard to collect sometimes...hard to sort when this life was what it was now. Freedom had come to him at no price, this being his second year on the island, but he wondered if redicule was going to be showing its face...

Ice Rose looked to the sky, seeing a single snowflake fall before her. She often wonder how did the snow fall from the sky, though she knew. But she often wonder if everything she was told was a lie. Or if it was myth. She sigh, a puff of air spilled out of her mouth, the vapors swirling around. She trotted forward now, her mind pondering now about everything, including things she wish she could block out. Then there was Hollow. The stallion was surprising. It was different to her that her abnormality did bug him. She shook out the messy tail now, carefully, to ensure she did not mess up the pondering rose on her tail.

The ebony stallion kept attentive to what Hollow was saying. Abandoned by the humans. That seemed to be the story for most of the horses who inhabited this island. "I see." Lassan mused. "You know, I have heard so much about humans from others that I feel like I know them. I have never actually seen one or spent any amount of time with one seeing as I was born and raised on this island." Lassan continued. "My parents used to live with the humans. My mother and father would always tell me wonderful stories about them. As I got older, I have heard so many different stories that both portray them as either wonderful or wretched beings. I guess they are all different in personality and temperment, just like we are. I have also heard that some of our kind can understand their words, while to others their pattern of speech is like trying to decipher the distant call of a whale."
As the entered a forest path, Lassan searched the snowy landscape for Rose's pink bodice. "What is your story with her?" he asked, looking back to Hollow. He saw how the two looked at each other. there was something there that was much stronger than friendship.

Scared of My Shadow was enthralled by the audios offered to him by Lassan, the words captivating his mind to coax memories out of the shadows. He nodded with the truth of every sentence, wondering to himself just how someone like the dark pelted stallion viewed the humans, in unedited terms. Hollow would like to think that the lead spoke his mind when needed, such as this time, and the cremello only hoped that he was viewed as somewhat trusted, though they had barely started to know each other. As the conversation took a surprising shift, the paint found himself in a situation of marked embaressment. Adverting his eyes shyly, he mouth tried to form the very words his brain had trouble accepting as fact...
'In truth....we had barely begun to get aqquianted when you happened upon us...' the large stallion laughed slightly without humor, 'I really know very little about her in all honesty...' Through all of this, he was surprised to find that his blue oculars had fastened upon a patch of perfect snow...the cold of it seeming to seep into him. He had no real grounds to feel the way he did...

Nothing on her venture surprised the young mare. Everything was the same to every venture she went on, quiet and still. Her mind felt deaden again. Like it was bored, uncaptivated by her own, old thoughts or by her usual strolls alone. The mare always found them fun. But maybe the new treatment she had meant her old mind wanted to see if everyone would except the odd colored mare for herself. She looked around, feeling her throat felt dry. She looked from the slightly hilled ground she stood on and walked across the snow with ease, not like she was sinking in it. Her pelt on her should quivered slightly, out of the muscle's own boredom. She moved forward, towards the river, now thinking these new thoughts that not all equines are bad, her mind returned to that stallion Hollow.

Lassan could not help but smile at the brute's words. Of course Hollow was not expecting Lassan to ask such a question, but Lassan was curious and wanted to know. He had always been that way. Even they way he looked, Lassan seemed intelligent. Ever since he was very young he had been too curious for his own good and had always been asking questions. As he got older he realised how valuable having knowledge was. It oculd make a world of difference.
"I see." Lassan mused as he thoughtfully looked up to the sky. "She seems like a very nice girl. From the way you two were talking when I happened to come upon you, I figured you had known each other for quite sometime. I bond like that is very special Hollow." Lassan told him, trying to tell him that he had something within his grasp that he should not let slip away.
Lassan then looked up to the sky to see a couple ravens flapping about. He shook his head at them. They were such gossips, but loyal as could be to Lassan and Fiana, well nor Char's, herds. The ebony stag looked ot Hollow and asked him "What do you think of the ravens?"

The cremello stallion's mind was still reeling in the churning sea of thoughts brought to notice by the dark-pelted stag's very own words when the following exchange cause attentions to shift, the former momentarily pushed to the back for the forgotten. Following the traveling gaze to where it had previously taken suite, Hollow's lighten ears pricked themselves at the ashen forms of the glinting birds. Watching for a mere collected seconds, a slow smile flinted with almost previous abandon upon the massive stallion's features as his light blue oculars recaptured the form of Lassan.
'They always seemed to pry for information, but I have nothing to hold against them,' A spark danced across his iris at this beautiful chance of distraction, nostrils quivering slightly. Once more, the extent of his gaze flickered to the heavens above, marveling at their odd coloration. The colors always drew him, as odd as it may be. Smiling, he waited to see if the witty Lassan had more to offer him as for conversation.

(XD I finally got the Rose in me to feel social, so expect something weird from her.)
Rose found the river, her eyes wander over it. It was iced over, thicker in some area's, thin in others. The mare walked up to the iced river, picking the thinnest spot she could find. The slight mare kicked at the ice to break though it to drink some water, but her hoof didn't go threw. She didn't slip like most horses would of. Her ice grey eyes studied the ice. It was thicker than she thought. She kicked it a couple more times, putting almost all the strength in her small figure contained into ice, and the ice still didn't break. The mare annoyed at the ice. For once, ice didn't so exactly what she wanted. She snorted, not wanting to resort to eating the snow. The mare shook out her messy mane and messy tail. The rose on her tail puckered in annoyance, reacting again to her emotions.

The stallion was pleased with Hollow's answer. Lassan always asked his new memebers their view on the ravens. Those birds, as annoying as they may be, were crucial to the survival of Lassan's herd. Without them this wonderful group of horses would have been wiped out quite some time ago. Yes, they could be very obnoxious with their constant gossiping and prying for information, but that is what made them so vital to Lassan and his alliance herd headed now by Char.
The black stallion watched rose with a bemused expression as she tried to crack the ice. "If you want to find a good spot to fracture the ice, Rose, try going to a lighter coloured spot. the ice is weakest there and will give way when you apply some pressure." he called out to her, telling that she seemed to be a bit annoyed with not being able to get what she wanted from the river.
Lassan then turned his head to Hollow and said "You should see this meadow in the summer months. It is beautiful." This was one of Lassan's favourite locations to spend his days during the warm months of the year. It seemed to be that way for most horses. It was beautiful in the winter too, but wind swept easily across the plain, making it a bit too cold for comfort.
