As we have stated within the updates, there are going to be some changes to the forum within the next few days. This thread is to go over the things that the admins (Vel, Sibby, and I) are going to be changing to the forum. Make sure you read everything so that you know what is going on.

Staff & Members

- It has been noted that we have plenty of staff members upon Isola. We have decided it'd be best if we cut down on those numbers. We will be demoting everyone, and placing an audition thread up so we can get you to audition for the moderator spots. We will be only taking one global moderator and two regular moderators.

- Inactive members (people who have joined and never posted upon the forum) will have their accounts deleted. People who have real life things going on, and they can not access Isola, will not have their accounts deleted.

Skins & Other Colors[/u][/color]

- Almost all the skins that were upon Isola were deleted. There are a few still up you can choose from, however.

- All unique username colors will be deleted within the next day or so; the colors to replace these will be rank affiliated.

- There will be a contest to see who will make the skin for a certain month. The winner's skin will be placed up for a month, and they will be given the rank of 'Skin Contest Winner' or something along those lines. Each contestant will be given powers to create a skin so that they can make a skin for the contest. When they are done, their powers will be taken away, and the staff of Isola will vote on the one who wins.

Boards[/u][/color]

- We will be moving some boards to be sub-boards of others. Since we have a lot of visual boards, in making some boards into sub-boards, it'll not only shorten the length of the forum, but make it more appealing to the eye.

Herds[/u][/color]

- Inactive herds (herds that have not had posts posted in a while) will be given notice before the boards are declared dead and will be deleted from the forum. You will have three days to contact an admin (Vel, Sibby, or Lizzeh) to save your land otherwise.

In addition to the changes that are mentioned above, we will also be instituting a new system for the seasons and years. These changes will go into effect April 1st. We will skip up to the next new year - meaning it will be Spring of Year 5. All horses should be adjusted up a year at that time. Here is an overview of how the new 'time' system will work:

-every 3 months, on the first of the month, the season will change
[i.e.: April 1st - Spring starts, July 1st - Summer starts...]

-each year will be the equivalent of four game years
[i.e.: we are starting the new system in year 5 - in twelve months when a full year has occurred the IDD year will be year 9]

Because of this, your equine will age once every 90 days; amounting to four times a year to make up for the amount of years. Please keep equines ages according to this standard - a horse may not age faster than what is set at the beginning of each season change.

Here is an example of everything I have said applied:

Lucy is a 3yr.o. mare right now.

When the new system goes into effect on April 1 and it becomes year 5, she will turn 4yr.o.

On July 1, when the season changes to Summer she will be 5yr.o.

October 1, season Fall, she will be 6yr.o.

January 1, season Winter, she will be 7yr.o.

On April 1, 2011, Spring of IDD year 9, she will be 8yr.o.
