[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,392,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#000000]Midnight coloring plagued the heavens, the only contrasting color was that of the stars sprinkled across the skies. There wasn't a cloud in sight to cover up the twinklings of the far away suns. A large moon hung low in the sky, barely higher than the tall mountains that made up part of Felwood. It's light washed over the grassy meadow below the gigantic mound of stone, reflecting on the single stream running through the meadow. The only shadows that were welcome within the lands of the ghostly king were those of the forest's trees, their large canopy of green leaves sheltering the ground from any moonlight that wanted to touch it. Speaking of the ivory lord, he now traveled back within the confines of his harem, hooves moving his bulky body slowly through the shady forest. His ears were shifted back slightly, a feeling of content washed over him.
He had walked back with Catalyst, making sure no one else would bother the mare he had pronounced his love to. At the thought of the chestnut femora, he paused in his walk, glancing over his shoulder for her slender frame to have followed after him. Sides swelled, as the Hielo lead took in the scents, trying to determine if there was anything new within his territory. Silvery strands from his tail swayed, gentle grazing across his hind legs, a shiver running through his body. The two had one hell of a night together, one that he surely wasn't going to forget anytime soon. And to know that the chestnut mare returned any and all feelings for him caused butterflies to flutter around in his chest. The Ice Lord turned, his ears darting forward, golden-green eyes searching for the beloved mare he had grown so close to. Thoughts buzzed within his mind like angry bees and his nose wrinkled slightly at the things that had presented themselves to him.
Deep down, there was a part of the stallion that wanted to ask the chestnut mare if she would become his mate, the other half to the leadership of Felwood. Nostrils flared, as he backed up, tail slapping his hindquarters sharply. Almost too harsh, since there was a sting a moment afterwards. Nearby, an owl called, as it left it's nest to hunt. In a matter of moments, the ghostly lord heard the faint squeak of the owl's victim, then the rustle of wings as the bird of prey flew back to it's hideaway.
Revenant sighed, relaxing his once tense muscles, and lowered his muzzle to the forest floor. He found a few shoots of grass, nibbling on them while he waited for his red lady to appear.

- time has brought your heart to me === - The ivory emperor needn't worry nor wait much longer for the ruby woman, for she was right behind him, her gait only slightly slower than his in an attempt to calm her sore muscles. gone with the discomfort that came with the season, and in its place were the feelings of happiness and contentment of the likes she'd never felt before. with only the light of the moon and stars as the sole witnesses, hidden beneath the shroud of night, she and revenant had expressed their love for one another in the most intimate of ways, far from roving gazes and the range of their herdmates. the experience was something catalyst had never felt before, and left her reeling with adrenaline and all sorts of things she could not even begin to sort out. a small, pleased smile was sketched onto her muzzle, orbs in somewhat of a daze as she stepped across the borders of felwood, her home. she still couldn't believe what had happened yet, couldn't bring herself to hope that this still wasn't some dream even as the ache in her slender bodice told her otherwise. hopefully a night of rest would take away her current discomfort, but right now she couldn't get to sleep even if she willed herself to try. so many things were swarming in her mind, so many thoughts of the future and things that might or might not even happen, most forefront being what life would be like now that her feelings for the ghostly lord of felwood were out in the open. there were other femmes in the lands of felwood after all, mares who, even though she'd not met in person, she had seen and scented every now and then. if she wasn't mistaken, they were a blue roan named dink and an ashen black colored zünden titled aithne, although she'd not seen or scented aithne anywhere in felwood for a short while now...
then the thoughts of the other ladies and their possible thoughts disappeared as the dainty arab mix finally caught back up with her lover, her pillars coming to a halt just a few feet away from his position. finely sculpted dial raised slightly to bring him into her azure vision fully, audits flicking halfway back against her dainty crown as she breathed in the spring air slowly. underneath the moonlight, his robes glittered beautifully, turning an almost ghostly silver color that was absolutely breathtaking. for a long moment, she simply stood there, watching him and marveling at him and wondering how the hell this was happening, before her small smile crawled a little further over her lips and she made her approach. the aura around them seemed calm, peaceful and right as she came to stand next to him, her serpentine stretching out to lay her dial upon his withers, soft wuffles and wickers of sheer contentment escaping her vocals as she basked in his presence. her ribcage stung slightly at the movement, the bruise from where she'd had an encounter with a stranger from earlier protesting the stretch of even a single muscle, especially after the 'activities' she'd undergone. it wasn't as painful as it was then though, when it had first been inflicted, so she said nothing, less she break the peaceful silence.
the darkness around them seemed so comforting, the flickers of fireflies every now and then the only light amongst the shadows of the towering trees, the new green leaves flicking softly against each other in the warm breeze, creating a soothing sound to go with the echoing songs of the crickets. it was almost enough to put one into a restful slumber. truth be told, as of right now there were no thoughts in catalyst's mind that were anywhere similar to what lay inside the mind of her lover. being queen of a land, or gaining any position of power had not been her goal when she'd confessed her affections, in fact it had been the farthest thing from what she had wanted. all she desired, all she craved was his returned affections... she'd not cared or attempted to think of what consequences could follow, be them good or bad or anything in between... even now, especially right now, they were still the farthest thoughts from her head...
ooc ;; here you are. a bit lame at the end, i know, but still. xD in the next few posts i'll have catalyst's powers manifest. ;3 [/blockquote]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,392,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#000000]As the little sparkles of light lit up the forest around the ghostly stallion, the sound of an approaching figure drew his attention from his grazing. Ears tilted forward as the lady in red approached, nostrils flaring to make sure she had, indeed, made it back home safely and in one piece. A quick glance over, and the stallion let a content smile cross his maw, golden-green eyes sparkling with the faint flashes from the fireflies. A serene aura surrounded the lovers, as the silvery stag turned his head to watch his red lady place her muzzle upon his wither, the content sounds flowing from her voice box dancing around him and causing his ears to sway forward. Rustling nearby drew his attention from the beautiful chestnut mare at his side, green tinted pools looking toward the handful of bushes nearby. Luckily, the source of the noise wasn't a predator as the grey had feared, but a small rabbit, it's tawny fur glistening with dew. It stared at the two equines with wide eyes, turning quickly and bounding back the way it came. Revenant smirked at the small creature's fear, and then looked back to the damsel.
My dear. I have a question for you, if you wouldn't mind, the ghastly lord's voice filled the once quiet air, his baritones reaching out for the lovely doe next to him. As his voice faded into oblivion, small snowflakes rained down upon the two, falling gently against their coats, cold despite the warmer temperatures of the isle. Revenant's golden-green eyes stared intently at Catalyst, fear slowly creeping within him. What if she ran after he asked her... what if she denied him? Ears tilted back against his skull as the fear began to grip his heart, doubt plaguing his mind. He was stupid to even think it, and now that the words were out in the open that he wished to ask her, he couldn't stop and turn back now. He had to go through with it.

- heart beats fast, colors and promises === - Should a stranger have passed by the two right now, they would have at most just spared a glance towards the two with either a smile or a scoff, depending on their personality or alliance. however, if a member of the herd were to cross by, even as few as there were, they'd probably do a double take to make sure their eyes weren't playing tricks on them. even to catalyst, it was a very strange change, and one that was so sudden it had taken her by such surprise. only months ago, she would not have even thought to give a brujo of any kind the time of the morning, let alone have them come close enough to touch her. only a few months ago, the grey at her side was just another one of those males as well, the ones she showed hostility to and avoided like the plague; in all truth if someone had told her she would be in the position at any point in her life she would have merely laughed and walked away. blue orbs closed behind satin curtains of scarlet slowly, nostrils flaring softly as she breathed in his scent, pressing her ruby robes closer to his own ghostly whites, the mix of colors a contrast so steep yet so perfect at the same time. she stayed in that position then, just breathing in the frigid scent of her lover and enjoying the silence that seemed to stretch into eternity and last only a few fleeting seconds all at once. some distant part of the sharp wit that once lay in her cranium wondered where the brave and independent femme that had been so hardened and firm in her beliefs went, but for that question she had only one answer. that femme was still there, still laying inside her somewhere... she just wasn't needed so much anymore.
a sudden noise of rustling leaves set the woman on edge, blue orbs flicking back to the open, crown lifting up from its resting place as her gaze sought out whoever was stupid enough to break the wonderful silence. gentle as she was being right now, catalyst was still catalyst. still the same fiery woman and still the same firecracker temperament. it was only sheer luck - although to whom, the couple or anyone nearby that hadn't been noticed - that it was merely a rabbit, who fled in fright almost as soon as it caught sight of the larger beasts. the red maiden shared her lover's smile of amusement for a moment, a soft feminine chuckle escaping past her velvet kissers. the voice of revenant snapped her out of her amusement, his soft baritones floating on the air, asking permission for a question that seemed to have a heavy weight behind it. curiosity reared its head within the woman's chest as her audits flicked forward, blue optics blinking once before a reassuring smile crossed over her muzzle. "no, my love," she nickered softly, stretching to nuzzle his cheek lovingly. "i don't mind at all. ask me anything you wish." even as she spoke, she'd no idea what it was that she was about to be offered. all her attention and thoughts were upon the ghostly king at her side, awaiting his question as the snowflakes fell across their pelts. however, as the snow continued to fall and cling to her ruby robes and flaxen banners, she'd not yet noticed how they refused to melt, or that there was something forming behind her left ear that would change her life forever.
ooc ;; *falls to her knees* i beg your forgiveness for how long this took to get up! Dx and how short and lame it is! but at least catalyst's powers are beginning to manifest. xD [/blockquote]

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,392,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#5E5A4E]Golden-green eyes had slid halfway down, the ghostly beast quite enjoying the comforting silence that had followed his statement. Regal head turned toward the trees, almost as if he were expecting someone to emerge and ruin the moment that had been all too perfectly set up for them. As a sigh escaped the lord, steam rose before his face, melting into the atmosphere due to the warming air. It comforted the stallion to know that, despite the doubt claiming his mind, Catalyst would listen to what he had to ask. Ears moved forward atop his skull, shifting his weight as the red lady nuzzled his cheek. Breathing out, he closed his eyes, gathering up his thoughts.
My dear Catalyst. I was wondering... since there is no one else to help me run Felwood... if you would take the place of lead mare, and as my mate, his words weren't slow like he had wanted them to be. They ultimately tumbled from his lips like a waterfall over rocks. Ears flattened, more out of embarrassment that he had said it so fast, than actually asking her. Eyes had opened once more, the brilliant two-toned pools watching his red maiden with curiosity. She had been worried about if the feelings she felt for the white brujo were returned, and here he was worried if the same mare would stay with him for the rest of their lives.
He hadn't noticed the snowflakes resting upon her coat until now, and they drew his interest away from the question he had asked her. They weren't melting? Cold air blew out of his nostrils, against the skin on her shoulder, to see if she would flinch at it. As he did so, he could feel her body temperature cooling, as if a change had begun within her. What was going on? Ears danced curiously atop his head, and suddenly the realization struck him with the force of a train. It was all too familiar. He had gone through this same thing back with the Hielo had given her powers to him. The lowering of his body temperature, snowflakes didn't melt once reaching his body, and.... yes. The air was much cooler around them now. But, had Catalyst realized the changes going on like he had?
