Descriptions-
King- The King is in charge of every decision that gets made within the lands of Canyon Nascosto, along with the Queen. He and the Duke are the only ones who are allowed to bring in members from the other lands, and he is the only one who will be releasing members from the herd as he sees fit. The Slaves are not to speak directly to him, unless spoken to first. He is the only one who has rights to breed to any mare of his choosing, including the Duchess, if he sees fit.
Queen- The Queen is in charge of, with the help of the Duchess, watching over all newer members of the herds, especially the foals. Along with the other royals, she helps guard the perimiter of the terra, keeping watch for anything out of place or intruders of any kind. The Queen must be agile as she is smart, for there are many dangers posed to the queen of a herd. Like the King, she must be a born leader.
Heirs- The Heirs are the foals borne unto the King and Queen. They are to be treated as royalty by all the members of the court, and recieve the same privelages as their parents. When it comes time to pick a new King, the decision will be left up to the current King and Queen to pick among their most capable offspring.
Duke- The Duke is the King's right hand man, so to speak. He helps him in the majority of the decision making, and in the co-leading of the herd. Protecting the well-being of the others is only one among his duties, and he recieves the privelage of picking a Duchess from the ladies of the court, any mare whom he wishes.
Duchess- The Duchess is the mate of the Duke, and nobody else is allowed to breed with her. She must be on good terms with the Queen, as the two will be spending much time together and sharing many of their duties among the herd. The offspring of the Duke and Duchess will also recieve special privelages above common foals.
Jesters- The Jesters are the bachelor stallions of the herd. They are not allowed to randomly breed to the Ladies of the Court, but may come to the King to ask permission to choose a mate and breed. The only special privelage they recieve is that their offspring will not be chased from the herd.
Ladies of the Court- The Ladies of the Court are the mares that call Canyon Nascosto home. Again, they may not breed randomly, or to outside stallions, but may come to the King to ask permission to breed with one of the Jesters. They will be treated well, as mares are always prized posessions within the herd, and offered the love of the King at all times.
Slaves- The Slaves are prisioners of battle, war, or equines that have displeased the King. They have no privelages whatsoever, and must stay until they are killed, die, or are otherwise released by none other than the King himself. They are not allowed to breed, or speak to any of the Royals at any time unless first spoken to.
Other Rules-
Foals may not leave the herd until they reach 3 years of age. Foals that are born to the King and Queen may not leave the herd (even after they come of age) until they are given permission by the King and Queen.
No member of the herd may leave the land for any reason unless given verbal permission by the royals.
No member of the herd will attack another member of the herd unless first asking permission of the King to begin a battle and then challenging the other equine, at which point both equines would be removed to the battle grounds to settle the dispute. The outcome and results of the fight will be decided by the King.
If the King is for some reason unavailable, his position will be filled immediately by the Duke, and the Duke will take over all his duties as such.
