Dink walked among the willow trees. It shaded her nicely from the hot summer sun. She neighed, to see if there were any stallions in need of mares in the vicinity. She was lonley. Dink needed a stallion. Maybe they could even breed later. Who knew? Dink soon came upon a river. She drank deeply from the river. It was quite refreshing on such a hot day. Dink hoped some stallion would take her back home. She wasnt a beautiful mare, but she wasnt an ugly one either. She was a blue roan connemara pony. Her coat had brought her suitors before, so it would most likley do it again. Dink began to graze, reveling in the warm summer breezes and cool shade of the willow trees.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,392,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#000000]Beautiful leaves danced above, under the brilliant rays of the sunlight, a gentle breeze sweeping through the willow trees. Gentle golden-green eyes looked around at the first place he had really wandered after being washed ashore, his nostrils flaring, steam rising from them. The warmer temperatures meant he spent more time within Felwood, where he had managed to keep it cool with his Hielo powers, and frequented the other parts of the island less. He didn't know where Aithne had wandered off to, but he wasn't going to keep her in Felwood. He knew that the Zunden didn't exactly like the cooler temperature that he did, and wouldn't mind if she left because of that.
The scent of another horse swirled around him, and Revenant paused in his walk. Ears twitched, listening to the birds chirp within the tree limbs around him. Moving forward once again, he maneuvered quickly through the trees, hooves seeming to barely touch the ground. Finally, he came upon the pony, stopping on the other side of the river where she drank. Nostrils flared, and he let a small smile cross over his maw. Why, hello there.

Dink looked up at a stallion's voice. So she really could still attract men. Dink smiled at the taller stallion. Even from across the river he was handsome. The black mark on his face was msot interesting. "Hello." she repleid, her voice smooth and alto. Dink looked at the river and decided not to cross it. She didnt know how deep it was and didnt feel like getting swept away, no matter how refreshing the water was. So she would let the stallion come to her, if he wanted to. He could not be interested, just saying a polite hello. Dink began grazing again, keeping an eye on the white stallion though. To see if he crossed the river to get to her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,392,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#000000]A simple hello was captured from the mare, Revenant staying on his side of the river. He would advance over the water, but knowing how mares could be about 'personal space', he stuck to his little patch of grass. Pains gripped his stomach, as hunger rippled through, a slightly loud grumble forcing the Felwood lead to lower his head, nipping off the tall blades of grass near his hooves. The silence began to bother him, and the Hielo lifted his head, looking to this strange mare. What brings you to the forest of willows? And what, might I ask, is your name? He sure went straight to the point, as he usually did with new horses. He wasn't going to beat around bushes all day. Especially not when the warm spring weather was causing small beads of sweat to appear under his mane.
Nostrils flared, small poofs of steam rising before his regal face, golden-green eyes straying away from Dink to the river's flowing waters. There was a need to drink, but his curiosity overrode it. Still, the stallion kept his distance, more out of respect than anything else.

Dink liked this stallion. He was handsome and didnt waste words on trivial pleasantries. "I am looking for a herd, or perhaps just a friend. I am Dink." she said, smiling at the larger stallion. She liked that he stayed on his side of the river. She knew other mares didnt like unknown stallion approaching them, but Dink couldnt care less. "What is your name?" she added, also beding down to nibble at the sweet spring grasses. She walked over to the river, dipping down her dark maw to drink. She was so used to traveling in the snow that the heat surprised her. She was sweating a little under her thick, black mane. Dink looked back at the light grey stallion, waiting for his awnser.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,392,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#000000]My name is Revenant, Lord of Felwood. It is a pleasure to meet you, Dink, he bowed his head slightly at the mare, smiling at her. As she drank, his eyes wandered away from her small frame, to the bowing willow trees around them. This place had become too familiar to him, almost like a second home if you will. The smile remained upon his maw, tail swaying slowly behind his ivory body. His breath was a tad labored, due to the heat of the spring day, more steam rising from around his body. Shaking his head, small snowflakes began to fall around his body, cooling the temperature around him.
Glancing at Dink once more, he blinked his golden-green eyes. So tell me, what are you doing out here by yourself?

"Nice to make your acquantence, Revenant." Dink replied, smiling at him from across the river. Somehow the name fit him, she didnt know how but it just seemed to. "I am looking for a herd or perhaps just a stallion." she added, cocking her head sideways a tad. "What are you doing here, may I ask." Dink said, smiling at him once again. She wondered if he was out looking for mares or just on a walk. Who knew? Well, Dink was sure she would find out soon enough. She was tempted to wade into the river to cool off. It sure was hotter than winter ever was. But, she could do that later. Dink swished her tail, getting the flies off the best she could. Annoying little pests; she thought.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,392,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#000000]I am merely wandering away from my home, seeing how spring is affecting the island. Stumbling upon you, is a mere coincidence. Still that smile stayed upon his muzzle, and still his tail swayed behind his bulky frame. Revenant didn't exactly think he believed in coincidence or chance, that things happened for a reason in this world. His nose twitched, a sneeze threatening him, but he shook his head violently, the urge passing. Breathing in deeply, he finally bought the courage to step forward, his front hooves sinking into the cool water of the river. The current wasn't strong enough to bring a grown horse down, but if a foal were to stumble into it, it surely would drown if not aided by a larger horse.
Looking to Dink once more, he stood in the middle of the river, relishing in the coolness the water had brought him. His powers caused a bubble of cold air to surround him, keeping the warmness of spring away from his ivory coat. No need to be shy, miss. You can join me in the waters if you are hot. I can understand the feeling, since the warm air affects me more than a normal horse.

Dink nodded at Revenant's words of coincidence. Maybe, maybe not, what was ever for sure in the world? She also stepped into the river, quickily up to her back. She knew she was short, but she felt even smaller beside this large stallion. But he seemed kind and gentle, and wouldnt use his weight against her. Dink dunked her head under water, reveling in the coolness of it. Even with the heat, spring was better than winter anyday. But she especially liked fall. It wasnt too hot, it was not too cold. It was perfect. And the colors of the fallen leaves amazed her. Such beautiful colors. Dink nodded when Revenant said that the heat affected him more. She didnt think too much more into it.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,392,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#000000]Golden-green eyes watched Dink as she dove her head underwater, cooling off from the heat. He smile in amusement, noticing how short she was compared to him. Height never did matter to him, even though it had to his parents. Lowering his muzzle, he drank from the flowing water, quite enjoying the sensation of the cold water reaching his parched throat. He glanced to the pony once again, his mind wandering. She seemed like a friendly little mare, even though the two had just met. Clearing his throat, he waved his tail over the water slowly, and blinked. Dink, if you have no place to go, you can come live in Felwood. You can come and go as you please, don't feel like you have to be restricted to the territory.

Dink smiled at his inviation. "I would love to, Revenant!" she said, grinning even harder up at him. Dink waded thorugh the water over to him, then reached up and nuzzled his neck with her nose. She looked down at the water shlyly. She hadnt been this close to a stallion in years, let alone touch one. Dink then drank from the water also, partly to hide her blushing face and also to refresh herself. When her face had gone back to normal, she looked back up- into his gold green eyes. Dink felt herself smiling. She didnt know why, but this stallion just seemed so nice. And she would be living with him now. Dink wondered if she would be his mare or not.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,392,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#000000]The leader of Felwood found it quite adorable the way Dink moved forward through the waters, rubbing her nose against his neck. Chuckling softly, the stallion mused at her words. We can leave whenever you want to from this forest, then, dear. Don't feel like I'm rushing you, though, because I'm not. I am quite enjoying myself, anyways. Revenant turned in the water, flicking his tail across it's surface, letting the strands fling a few drops onto Dink's coat. A playful look crossed the stallion's face, his golden-green eyes shimmering faintly. Snowflakes still fell around his body, as the Hielo wandered a few meters away, his hooves sinking into the muck of the rushing river.

"We can go whenever you feel like it." Dink replied, smiling. She laughed when Revenant spalshed a little water onto her. Dink high stepped thorugh the water, swisheing her tail out of the water when she passed him. Then, she stepped into a hole in the river bottom. Dink dropped, over her head in water now. She scrambled out, shaking her mane and gasping. She looked at Revenant "Oops." Dink said, laughing. Stupid little holes. Always making a fool of her. She walked out of the river, shaking herself off. Dink began to graze a little as she waited for Revenant to emerge from the water, also.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,392,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#000000]A gentle snort escaped the Hielo, as Dink flicked her own tail, small droplets of water dancing from the ribbons. They got half way to the ivory horse, then were turned into small droplets of ice, plopping down into the water with a splash. Smiling, he followed after the mare, his heart skipping a beat when her hoof sunk down into a hole in the river's floor, her head going under. However, the panic swept away as she broke the surface, a small oops coming to his ears. Chuckling, he followed after her, standing away from her as she shook herself off.
The air around him cooled drastically, the water dripping off him as snowflakes. As Dink began to graze, the stallion walked to her side, nudging her wither gently, then bending his own head down to nibble on the grasses as well. Their height differences surely was noticeable, she looked more like his child than one of his mares.

Dink lifter her head from the sweet spring grass to look up at Revenant. "I am ready to go back with you." she said, smiling. She had a home. Dink knew it was too early to plan on foals now, but she would still hope. Dink had never had a foal before, and she wanted one desperatly now. But she knew better than to get her hopes up with a new stallion. Revenant didnt seem the type to breed her this soon. But, there was always hope. Even if was a tiny, minscule sliver of hope. But some hope was better than none.. right?
