This roleplay is Kuroshitusji based for V.elocity and Disco. It may contain content unsuitable for minors. Basically if you know me and know how I get, there are some parts of this RP you might want to steer clear of. That is all. <3
Sleep had just taken hold of the young earl's mind, lulling him into what always seemed to be a false sense of security. He would drift off into a wonderful world of unconsciousness thinking that he was finally safe from his memories. That sweet serenity only lasted a short while before he was plagued with vivid images that would forever be ingrained in his muddled mind. It was almost as if some higher power was playing a sick joke on him, using him as the pawn of some twisted little game only suited for deriving some sort of morbid entertainment. Alois Trancy was a victim of his own mind. The chains that bound him were hard ones to sever and would most likely remain intact for the remained of his life, how ever long that turned out to be.
Just like every other night, the quiet, dreamless sleep he had been in was abruptly interrupted by the flickering image of fire and smoke. The sky was a deep indigo, dotted with stars whose light was being masked by the billowing cloud of sooty residue. Alois frantically looked around as people ran past him, scrambling to get away from the building inferno. It was not much longer until the screams of those people who had not been lucky enough to escaped, or had just realized a loved one had been left behind, pierced the heavy night air. A few frantic people turned around to run back into the the blistering heat, Alois right at there heels. He had to find Luca. His little brother, his best friend, the only human being who had ever shown unwavering loyalty and love towards him, was somewhere in there. It was easy enough to navigate his way around the flames, only having a few close calls as they licked at his feet when he had to fit through an alleyway. The whole entire village was burning to the ground. Good riddance would have been the phrase to come to mind if Alois had not been so occupied with other things. "Luca! Luca, where are you?!" he called out frantically, tripping a few times as he stumbled over the cobblestone street. It did not take him very long to locate the cowering boy who appeared to be trapped in one of the buildings. There was no way to get to him. "Luca!" Alois cried out with horror as the fire seemed to engulf Luca's small body.
Alois woke up with a start, screaming his brother's name. He sat up in bed, wide-eyed and breathing heavily. His chest heaved up and down as he kicked the covers off his now sweaty body. Alois brought his knees to his chest and ran a clammy hand through his platinum hair. Every single night it seemed to be the same thing. It might not be the same dream, but it usually ended with him waking himself up and trying to fall back asleep again. Rarely did he actually wake up screaming, but it happened every now and then.
It was just as Alois had regained some control of his shaky body that he realized the breeze from his open window had blown the candles out. Darkness. He was surrounded by darkness, the very thing he tried so very hard to stay away from. Most would find this peaceful, lulling them back into a decent sleep. Not Alois. If there was one thing he could not stand it was the absence of light in a room. It would not have been half as bad if he had someone else with him. He was alone. Completely alone in the dark. That was all it took for him to wrap his arms around his knees and push his lithe body into the cold headboard of his bed. "Claude!" he called out, as he squeezed his eyes shut and buried his face in his knees.
