This is open to anyone who would like to join A unknown mare wandered through the meadow that she had come upon. The tall grass swayed in the wind, her head low as she walked through it. The sun was almost gone but a little of the light shone through the heavy clouds that floated through the sky. Rain had already hit and it was drying up slowly. The spring breeze blew over the low laying meadow. The paint mare whinnied as she began to graze. Her ears flicked forward, alert for any threats or dangers. Her palomino colors blended her well against the yellows and greens that covered the meadow. Every now and again there would be a patch of color such as bright orange or red. Purples and blues were more rare but popped up almost as often. The meadow as full of life as mares and stallions went about their business. She lifted her head to look at the mountain that loomed over the flat meadow. The clouds hung around the peak of the mountain as the heavy gray clouds tried to cling to something. It seemed as if they wanted to stay and wreak havoc over the land drenching it with its rain water that was waiting to fall from the puffy grayness that was the cloud.

The black and white brindled stallion trotted into the land with his head held high. Now that he was officially a stallion, an adult, his father had been trusting him with brining new members to the herd. What better place to look for new herd members than the famed Belle Valle. Polaris' father Lassan held claim to one of the largest herds and lands on Isola Dei Dei; Terra Delle Liberta. Now Polaris knew he would never take over the herd seeing as he was not even Lassan's real son, not to mention Lassan's first child, his eldest daughter Shadow, was in line for the throne. Surprisingly this did not bother Polaris as it would other horses who were in his situation. He was not a power hungry individual, but just a laid back kind of horse who enjoyed helping out his family.
The young stallion slowed his pace when he saw a palomino mare up ahead. His brow raised and his ears perked as he realized that this mare was all alone. He lifted his head ever so slightly and a soft smile crept onto his black muzzle as he approached the stranger. "Hello." he greeted with a bob of his head. "Lovely day out isn't it? Perfect for a stroll through the valley." Polaris continued on, hoping to strike up some sort of conversation with the mare.

The palomino mare looked to the stallion. She said nothing but just studied him. I suppose, she took her eyes off of him and looked back to the mountain peak. The clouds started to break away from the peak but another set of heavier dark clouds started to come the direction. Bellona didn't take to strange stallion as well as she would a mare. Her ears flicked back and forth catching the sounds that the frigid wind brought through the flat grassland. Many new smells also blew with the wind. She lowered her head and grassed again almost ignoring the stallion but recognizing he was still there. A moment later the mare jumped at the first drop of rain on her back. She huffed as the rain began to fall harder. She raised her head and looked at the stallion. His black and white pelt drew her eyes to each part of his body. She quickly flicked her head away and continued on. She stopped at a patch of wild flowers, this one had all the colors. The little rain drops gathered on the fragile petals of the beautiful little flowers. Bellona whinnied with happiness. The heavy rain covered her and began to drip of her body. The cold water rain over her eyes and she blinked it away. She looked back to the stallion and waited.

Polaris cocked his head in confusion as the mare stared at him as if he were some strange anomaly that had just sprouted straight up from the ground. What the hell was this? Perhaps she was deaf and was not understanding what he said. Just as he was about to say something to test that theory, she began to walk away from him. How rude of her. Polaris' blue optics narrowed on the fae as she continued to stroll along as if he had never existed.
His eyes flicked up to the sky as a cold gust of wind swept across the land, causing the grass to wave back and forth in a vigorous manner. It did not take long for the dark sky to finally release what had been pent up inside for so long. The drops fell softly at first, causing small spots on his coat to darken. Within a few seconds, the rain picked up and the cool water cascaded down successfully soaking everything in its path.
It was safe to say that Polaris was even more confused when the fae strolled away, looking at this and that. Perhaps she was crazy. It was just at that thought when she lifted her head up and let out a happy whinny. Polaris never understood mares, but this one, he was not even sure where to begin. She was not even acting like a normal horse should. She then turned her head to look back at him like she was expecting him to do something. Ah! So this was all a little game then? Well two could play at that.
The young stallion strode forward and halted a few strides away from her. "Excuse me for not introducing myself to you. I am Polaris. Who might you be?" he asked, hoping to get some sort of response this time.

The palomino mare looked at the stallion. She listened to his question. She answered with "My name is Bellona. Nice to meet you Polaris." "What brings you to this lovely valley? Her voice gentle and quiet. She wasn't one to speak much. Her guard was still up with this stallion around. She turned back to the flowers. The rain had put a hazey cover on the beautiful land. The flowers shook as the rain drops hit them. Bellona's nostril flared as the rain slide from her pelt. She shook herself and the water that was on her coat flew everywhere. A smile appeared on the stallion's face as the fae finally decided that it would be good time to acknowledge his existence. Her sweet voice quickly filled that silent void that had engulfed the pair of equines. Her light vocals drifted to ebony optics like a soft summer breeze. Bellona was her name. What a fitting name. No doubt it meant something close to beautiful. She truly was a beautiful creature. For as nervous as she had been, Polaris wondered why she would turn back to the flowers with him standing right there. If he were an evil, diabolical being like she might assume, this would be the opportune moment to take advantage of the quiet mare.
With a flick of his ebony tail, Polaris sent droplets of water to the ground with the rest of the pouring rain as he began to form an answer for her. "Oh nothing much. I'm just out taking a stroll seeing as there is not much for me to do back at home. What about yourself? What brings you here?" he answered honestly.

The paint mare looked back to the stallion, "Bring home? She paused. ...like what? The mare questioned. She eyed the stallion as if she was searching for a hidden spot of dust. The rain blurred her vision as her eyes slide all around the male searching for the answer to her question. She huffed and her ears flicked back and forth, preventing the rain water from entering her ears. Her tail flicked letting the outlaying water, that was previously on her tail, fly to the ground in a single motion. She rubbed her muzzle on the back of her leg, that had been iching furiously for a about a minute now.
Her head flicked back to the position of looking at the stallion. Still irratated she answered his question. I wander if you haven't figured that out yet. She said looking the other way. She treked on leaving the stallion behind. She didn't care if he followed.

The brindle looked at the fae in confusion. What in the world was she talking about? e never said anything about bringing something home. Maybe he was right all along and she really was a basket case. From the few minutes he had been exposed to her, her behaviour was definitely not normal. "Excuse me, but what ever are you talking about?" he asked her, his blue eyes searching her face for some type of answer. "I never said anything about bringing something home." he clarified, lifitng his head up ever so slightly. She was a strange one.
Now she was going to strike up an irritated tone with him? Polaris resisted hte urge to roll his eyes at her. if she did not want to talk to him then she could have simply asked him when he first spoke to her instead of ignoring him like some dazed basket case. "No, I haven't figured that out yet." he snapped back almost bitterly. "I just figured you were some mad mare who got away from her care taker." he called after her as she rudley walked away from him again, instantly regretting the words that spiled out of his mouth.

Devonwell
.X. Sturdy pillars swiftly danced over dampened emerald foliage, his pallates made firm collisions with it as he proceeded without whim or particularity in way. As heaven wept upon him and as far as his acute ocules could capture, the burly ebony stag paused, raising his sculpted cranium higher, he released a trumpeting call deep from his vocal chords, the musical audios echoing off the contours of the hills. Intriguing orbs drifted skyward as his protest to the gods rang out through the air, steam curled from flaring nares, drinking in the various lyrics of siren songs as they filled him. After a brief moment of awaiting a response from the gods as their tears emerged from the greying clouds, Devonwell once again made his way off. The brute was not in any hurry, nor was he in search of anything in particular, but he was curious as a new scent filled his nares as they widened once more. Such a peculiar thing it is to have horses wandering about a place such as this in this particular weather, though he knew he should not be the one to speak since he was out and about in this weather himself. 'A brujo and a fea...' the thoughts rang out through the fathoms of his mind, which was held together by mere strings due to the stress of putting others before himself, and various unrelated oddities in his life.
After a short period of time devout to finding the pair of equides, the charcoal stag came to a complete halt as the equines came within view. A dazzling golden femme and a jet black stag with ivory brindling, was he intruding on a pair of lovers' affair? Most likely not. As he came a small way's closer, the brute recognized an irritated expression upon both of their faces. Maybe it would be of good intentions to ease at the least a small amount of the tension between the equides. A puff of mist plumed from his nares as the warmth of his breath mingled with the cool air, the crystaline promises of different souls fell from the sky drenched his dark pelting with a sorrowful, icy blanketing. He stopped once more as he came up next to both the other equines, 'I have no intentions of barging into your conversation, but I was intrigued to relieve your irritations.' he said, a noble tone danced within his lyrics. He was patient enough to hear out what exactly was on both of their nerves, since his thoughts were most likely of anything but importance to them, he was willing to listen to what both of them had to say. Devonwell usually did not assist his fellow equides such as this, but there was actually a thought, a meager whisper within his mind that told him his words would actually be heeded in this case.
Devonwell Gewd 479 I think I'm going to keep this boy now X3 he's grown on me.

The rain drummed a rhythm into the ground. Her ears and head flicked around to see another brute approaching her and other stallion. She was just getting used to the stallion that had joined her only a few minutes ago. His comment had sent her off, she trotted away. She turned her head and said a "Goodbye", Removing herself from what might have happened next if she didn't, she would have lost her temper which was relatively short, towards stallions, than mares. She wasn't going to stay around. The rain was getting heavier as she stormed away. Her mane was wet and stuck to her neck. Her day had not gone as planned. Her gait quickly moved into a cantering. She moved quickly over the wet grassland.

Polaris' eyes drifted past the mare as a newcomer made his way into their private conversation. Polaris had never seen this horse around here before. Who was he? What did he want? Polaris could answer that last question for himself. The mare. Every stallion always wanted the mare for their herd. Truth be told, Polaris was looking for new herd members, but he had been hoping to find stallions. His herd had plenty of mares. It needed more testosterone added to the group. Perhaps Polaris could get two for one today. The young stallion would act like himself and not try to chase off this other stallion over some silly mare. Nodding his head to the new stallion, Polaris offered a polite greeting. "Hello."
Just then, the said mare excused herself and began trotting away. The brindle narrowed his sapphire optics on her retreating form. He did not like her. Her attitude and the way she spoke was most of it. Yet somehow she intrigued him. It was a strange attraction he had. It was not just because she was a mare or was pretty, but he was drawn to her because of that personality he despised. Polaris shook his head and returned his attention to the stallion. "I apologize for her lack of manners." he told the brute. "She's a strange one." Everything Polaris said was spoken a little louder than necessary so that the mare was sure to hear. Polaris was trying to provoke her into coming back and facing him.

The mare skidded to a stop at the words of her new friend Polaris. She galloped back at him, full speed, "Exuse me! She neighed angerly at him. Her ears were flat to head. "You males are all the same! She neighed. She looked at the the new and unknown stallion. She realized what Polaris was saying. She snorted and a puff was warm cold hit the coldness. Her ears stood to their normal position. She now felt foolish now as Polaris was right. She did like to admit that she was wrong so she wasn't going to. She looked to the two males, "Sorry.. She paused. for the way I acted right there."
