Markings: swirls in light red on his left haunch, inverted crosses on each leg, ashy gray dipped upon his legs, ears, and maw and surrounding the eye, the left 'eyeliner' leaks down in a tear-stained pattern (see image; the image is of him as a foal seeing as that was when he was last seen publicly)
Alliance: mostly light
History: This foal was birthed from the loins of a Chikao and mixed of Reaper blood. His parents had been star-crossed lovers - each with large hearts even if the father's blood might tempt thoughts otherwise. In his young days, Samael was scorned by all but his loving parents, but as all things must come to end, so did his parent's love and life. One day he had veered too far as a mere yearling from their side, and this was the very factor that had saved his life. But, upon his return, he found the pair taken down with massive injuries by a horse who remains unknown to him. Each were alive, but their wounds were fatal, and it seemed all he could do was watch the lovers suffer a horrid death, but that is not what the young buck had done. Rather, he harnessed his darker powers to end the lives of the only ones to have shown him compassion - a mercy kill.
Over the years, the brute's mind became warped with the slaughter of his own parents. He remained reclusive - expecting that all that bared sight of him would shun him away as had been done when he was a foal. It is only within recent years that he has emerged with his sanity only loosely in tact. He now wanders the lands - no longer shunned but rather feared for his massive form and eerie appearance. And, perhaps, it is just so that he should be so feared, for it is rumored that his alterego as the mercy killer and an angel of death is still very alive...
Personality: Samael is a kind but quiet soul. He remains fairly reclusive but responds well to any that will give him the attention. Given his past, he is a merciful soul and empathizes with the down-trodden. He has never been one to pick a fight and will avoid one if can be done. However, his large stature and powers make him a formidable opponent if so tempted. In spite of his kind demeanor, there is a hidden darkness within the soft-hearted beast, the spirit of the mercy killer. Many things can ignite the personality to take over, but few have lived to tell of it, for the killer seeks to save every soul through death whether it is truly necessary or not. Samael never remembers his switches into the mercy killer and would even deny having killed his parents that day. The memories are deeply buried within him. Contrariwise, his transformed demeanor is ever aware of everything Samael has been through.
Powers/traits of his elemental bloodlines;
Chikao: He is often burdened with dreams of the past, sometimes his, sometimes of other animals.
When in his mercy killer state, he can harness his telepathic abilities.
Can micmic weaker powers of other horses if exposed to them for long enough.
Reaper: He can disappear in a puff of ethereal smoke.
He has venom that is his most common method of killing as the mercy killer but rarely used in his normal state of being.
