It had only been a few days since she had given birth, and was gradually regaining her used up strength. The little filly by her side was beautiful, atleast in her mother's eyes. She was a glossy bay after much thorough grooming from Chrissy, with light pink brindles and a vivid pair of blue and pink eyes. Chrissy's chest was swelled with happiness, but the back of her mind always reminded her that her dear little baby was just a mistake, made when she was only just out of being a 'baby' herself. When she had first realized she was pregnant, she was so angry that Zeake hadn't met his promise, and was bound to kill him. But she calmed and thought about it, it was her fault as well. But blaming and anger was way behind her, she was just happy she had the baby girl she had been hoping for.
The tiny filly gave a foalish squeal as she pranced around her mother, eyes bright as she examined everything around her with curiousity. Chrissy watched her with amusement as she grazed, though she kept an ear out for any signs of danger or horses that may come close to her baby. Even though she was a very gentle horse, she would kill if anyone threatened Scarrlette's life. "Mama? When I see Da?" the filly said suddenly, looking curiously over at her. Chrissy blinked, before she shook her head. "Hmm..maybe soon," she told her, shaking her mane. d29fd5 SPEECH

For the most part, Zeake had just been fucking around with Polaris like normal young mischievous and dickheaded stallions who didn't have the slightest clue about responsibility. Yet the two of them actually did have a sense of right and responsibility, a very strong one, but they were both too stupid to use it most of the time and it only came to use in dire situations. Such as Zeake getting Chrissy pregnant, he had tried to use somewhat of responsibility but Zeake is Zeake.
"Chrissy?" The young stallion shuffled nervously through the thick, dead-brown and rattling thicket with a quiet, anxious-filled call of the young mare's name. "It's Zeake." Another unnecessary statement the stupid youngster muttered. A pitiful mutter at that. He knew he had been gone for far too long. He had a child and a mare to take care of. What was he thinking leaving for such long periods of time? Sure they were pretty much securely safe within the black hole's depths of Liberta but it wasn't right for him to leave like that. Not at all. He had to grow up sooner or later. He loved them both dearly but he was young ans stupid. Stupid and young.
"She's very beautiful." The brindle moved cautiously forward from the thicket he had wondered into accidentally and happened to stumble upon the mare and his child. "Like you, you know." His voice got gradually quieter as the stallion felt quite awkward standing here with the mare he had knocked up at a such a young age. Younger than needed indubitably. Light pink eyes flickered between his filly and the mare he had come so fond of as to say he might even love with anxiety and sincere look of sorry. He was sorry. A sorry excuse for a stallion and father, that was. "I had got caught up.." He began, but no words were to compare how utterly awkward, stupid and how much of an asshole he felt.

Chrissy raised her head as she heard distant trumping of another horse as they made their way through the trees. Even though she knew Liberta was one of the safest places on the island, she was still cautious. Scarrlette perked her ears, her eyes widening as she quickly tucked herself to her mother's side. Chrissy relaxed however when she heard Zeake's familiar voice. It was about time that he showed up. She knew he was still around, but had no idea where. Probably off being a young stallion he was, not having the responsibility of carrying a foal. She had to mature to cope with being a mother, but he was concerned with being with Polaris. Of course, at first she was very angry, that he wasn't commiting to her like she wanted him to. How she desired the fairytale story, to be taken away by her prince and live happily ever after. But life wasn't a once upon a time story, and bad things happened.
The mare glanced towards the little filly by her side, before back to Zeake. "She is, isn't she?" she said, smiling softly as Scarrlette stepped forward slightly, seeing that the new horse wasn't a threat. Chrissy merely raised an eyebrow over at him as he tried to explain himself and failed, and she waited a moment to see if he would try and continue. She sighed when he didn't, then turned to her daughter. "Scarrlette, this is your Da," she told her, and the filly stepped forward curiously with a broad grin, boldly nuzzling the stallion's chest. d29fd5 SPEECH
