History: Bellona was born to horses that lived in an Indian tribe. She was little when she and her mother were out grazing in a large meadow where the herd grazed all the time, when a loud bang rang across the meadow. All the horses’ heads shot up and looked around. A small figure appeared at the top of one of the hills surrounding the meadow. That figure was a man with a gun. He pointed the gun at her father and another loud bang rang across the meadow, but before the echo ended a loud whinny interrupted it. The herd gathered around Bellona’s father to see a large wound in his flank. The mares and the foals nosed him but he neighed again, the horses scattered away from the stallion. He tried very hard to get to his feet. He got to his feet before the man with the gun got to him. He made his way back to the Indian camp and collapsed. He was not able to be saved but he was buried in the sacred burial grounds of the Indians’. The mares and the foals grieved. Bellona in that time became stronger and she took her mother’s place of the matriarch in the herd. Another stallion that she had grown up with, she didn’t care for him, got to take her father’s place. The elders of the herd helped them along the way. The new patriarch of the herd’s father was the oldest stallion that she had ever seen and she respected his words and she grieved when he passed of old age. Bellona left her herd and no she is traveling on her own.
Personality: Bellona is strong and courageous. She has strong will power as her father did. She has an attitude sometimes when she is told what to do or when something doesn’t get done the way she likes. She is hard headed and rarely listens to others. When she does she evaluates their words very carefully and takes into consideration others to see which is the best way to go with the problem or situation that she has encountered. Bellona is a good mare when it comes to people and other horses. She has learned to trust very few people as her memories are still fresh in her head from her father’s death. Horses on the other hand she finds stallions oddly hard to get along with as the ones she knows and has meant are arrogant and stuck up. Bellona is a fairly large mare that makes her intimating to others so other mares do not really approach her to talk or create a friendship. She is more of a loner, but she enjoys company of others of her own kind. Her being strong headed makes her not easy to get along with. She tries to be level headed about meeting new horses.
