kachina would admit it. on her own she was totally and utterly confused, and lost. she was helpless, a damsel in distress, you might say. she continued to trudge on, thankfully, there was plenty of food and water in the valley. at least she wouldn't starve, or die of thirst. now, finding shelter was a totally different task. thank goodness it didn't look like it was going to storm tonight either. as much as she loved her home, she wished she would have been taught some more survival skills. it wasn't such a pretty life to be cared for the way she was. now it was chaos just trying to survive.
she stopped at a small stream and lowered her crown to drink. the cool, clear water felt good on such a warm spring day. she wasn't one to complain though. it was such a gorgeous day. the breeze gently blew through her hair, she listened for the voice of equine, but the wind carried no such voices. The only voices she heard were the ones in her head. the ones of her loved ones. oh how she missed them.
kachina stepped across the little stream and walked a little farther before stopping to graze. the grass was so thick and green here, and she was hungry. every so often she lifted her head up and looked around, just hoping to see another equine figure. she wasn't worried about danger, it didn't really exist to her. she was stuck in her own little fairytale world.
the sun was still pretty high in the sky, meaning it was around noon. the sun beating down on her made her feel warm, and tired. she found a lone tree nearby and allowed her legs to collapse beneath her. the cool touch of the grass felt nice. she flopped her head onto the ground and closed her eyes.

Jimmy had spent his days wandering aimlessly and executing some random fun here and there. The day before he had bred the ginger red stranger mare, Sorrows, and left her. She had flited from his mind as soon as she had entered and he hoped never to think of her again, she was a fling, a door never to be reopened. And so now here he was back in Belle Valle hoping to scout out Desdemona and talk with her. It was midday and the sun shone down in threatening shards upon his ebony bodice, and illuminating near a tree was not Des - but some other mare, perhaps passed out? Or just asleep. He smirked his famous rebellious grin and walked on up with a nonchalant flick of his tail. You shouldn't sleep out here unarmed, ya know. He watched her with his pale gaze for a moment, and lowered his pink-white maw to nudge her awake. Do you have any ideas of the likes of stallions that wander here? Not that he was concerned. He was just having some fun, toying with a flitter brained mare. Per usual.

kachina was just starting to wake when she heard someone, then she felt a nudge. she quickly jumped up, and turned to face the other equine. ' why not? ' she asked tilting her head slightly. she was so naive. she had the mind of a child. ' no.. no i don't.. ' she answer, a bit confused. she honestly had no idea. he might think she was playing dumb, but truth be told, she was just plain dumb. ' oh .' she said excitedly. ' is that why i shouldn't sleep out here? ' she said, not really to him, more to herself, answering her former question. she yawned and did a little stretch, she wasn't sure how long she'd slept. the sun was still up so it couldn't have been that long.
she had forgotten all about introductions, she didn't know much about much, but she did know it was polite to introduce ones self. ' i'm kachina.. ' she paused. ' and you are? ' she smiled softly, waiting for him to introduce himself. she looked around as she waited, not the least bit uncomfortable with a stallion here. she listened to the birds, and other creatures scurry about.
