spirit yawned as she woke up. she squinted as the bright yellow sun started rising. she looked around for any family members, vodka, or hannibal, but she saw none. not even any of the herd members. she flicked her tail and began walking toward the meadow where most of the equines gathered. still nothing. she began to nibble at the new shoots of grass which had just begun to grow again. every so often she lifted her head and looked around. it seemed odd not to see anyone. she lowered her head again and kept nibbling.
all the small animals were out again, especially they birds. they were so beautiful. she loved listening to them, she had really missed them over the long harsh winter. everyone seemed to be happy spring had finally arrived. almost all the snow had left, but a few stubborn patches remained.
spirit wasn't one to worry, but when it came to two things, hannibal, and vodka, she worried. she loved them more than life itself. without them life seemed.. pointless. a while ago that wasn't the case, he was the one who made her life miserable. no one would have ever thought they would end up this way. she smiled as she thought of him, trying not to worry. besides if she got really concerned she could always follow the foot prints in the soft, muddy ground. he may have been out scouting for new members, or patrolling the borders. unfortunately he had other duties and couldn't be by her side 24/7 as she would have liked. she sighed again as she raised her head to find that she was still alone. |

It wasn't normal for Hannibal to be gone for so long, and it worried Joker that he was gone. However, he knew that the hell-spawn was a better leader than most horses, and could probably sense what was happening with his herd. The large stallion moved out into the meadow, his ears flicking slightly atop his head as the birds sang nearby in the barren trees. It was another Spring that the trees of Felwood wouldn't bloom. Sighing to himself, the bluish-black and white stallion crossed the slightly swollen stream. As he shook off his coat, the water flying all over the place, the stallion's eyes caught the movement of a mare. Lifting his head up, he noticed that it was Spirit, Hannibal's main mare. Trotting forward, the stallion lowered his head ever so slightly to the mare as he approached her.
Good morning, Miss Spirit,
the stallion spoke softly, lifting his head and looking at the mare. Ears tilted forward, as he could see Aeon lurking in the trees nearby, keeping her eye upon the pair. It was as if she were spying for Hannibal, knowing that Joker was sheltering the young Haize not only from the twins, but from Hannibal himself. Shifting uncomfortably, the stallion looked back over to Spirit, a small smile crossing his maw. Have you seen Hannibal lately? He's been gone for some time, and I'm afraid that something might have happened. Of course the stallion wasn't worried about the older hell-spawn. He merely was curious as to if Spirit knew where the Lead was. The eyes of Aeon watched Spirit and Joker like a hawk, the flames crackling lively as she could sense the betrayal and guilt washing off the stallion within the meadow. The half-Era merely smirked at Hannibal's underling, ears flicking back against her skull. Just wait, Joker. I will expose to my father what you really are... Smirking to herself, Aeon turned away to disappear into the trees, a small gust of wind floating through the meadow. [ what goes around, comes around. justin timberlake ] [ three fifty eight ] [ lizzeh 2001 ] [ so not using my tables for some reason... ] [/blockquote][/blockquote]
