She moved through the part where the ocean lapped up the shores, through the wet sand. She left deep, definite hoofmarks as she moved through the land where she grew up. It was somewhere around here, she was certain.
She had gone around, alone for far too long, and already, she missed the homeland. She missed having something absolute in her life. What she missed was her mother. No, not her mother’s warmth, nor her mother’s sheltering presence, but she simply missed knowing that every day would bring more of the same—that everything was expected. She had moved away from this familiar place for a few months now, but already, she returned to the place where her mother had died.
She saw the skeleton picked clean, but she could see it was her mother from the size of the bones. There was no trace of flesh from the body, but still, a few birds perched on the rib cage, remembering that once upon a time, they picked at the lungs between the stripes of bone. Elise approached them quietly, though she was light colored and spotted, her mannerisms made her sidle naturally with the scavengers, the ravens and gulls. They didn’t leave their perches as the pony neared the half-assembled skeleton and lay down next to the sun-baked bones.

Ardent wished to see what the other world was like. The one with the non elemental horses. She couldn't believe there was such a thing but she was told it was so. So she dedcided to swim, and see if she could come across them. Her multi colored bodice soon grew dark as the beautiful water inclosed her. Her teal orbs soon dissapeared from the elemental world as she moved deeper and deeper into the water depths. Soon her whole body was submerged as she moved through it, a small bubble around her nose so that she could breathe.
She was under for a bit before she heard the sloshing of the water on shore. She moved so that she could come above the water and peered out of the top as the bubble popped. She looked around her, as she stumbled a little bit onto the sand. It was similar to her home but also had a different taste about the air. She tilted her head a bit, listening to the sound of scavengers. Her ears cocked into the direction and soon her teal orbs followed. She looked at saw a mare on the ground, next to a pile of bones. However she didnt seem to have that oomf that Elementals gave off.
Picking up her pace Ardent moved forward to the mare, wondering if she was about to turn into the pile of bones next to her. "Are you hurt?" She called out as she got within calling distance. She stoped though in case the other spooked. She was told that the 'normals' where scared of those like her and she really hoped this one wasnt one of the scared horses.
