~Misery Business~
Misery stood on the beach, looking at all the land, the land where she could be free. Where she could be queen of her own little world. She sniffed the air. Other horses had been here recently. She wasn't alone. She could find a herd and weave her way to the top. It was her goal to rule the island. From the second she stepped in the sand, she knew what her goal was, and is. She began walking along the edge of the water. The air smelt salty, and she liked it. This beach was beautiful to her. She could easily live here the rest of her life, but she had a mission, and she wasn't about to fail. She continued her walk the water crashing against her legs, she was oddly happy, and partially content.

I could not figure out why I was here. This place was too light for my liking. I walked out into the sun and I felt like my pelt was burning from its rays. I just wanted to run into the shade, I felt a hiss escape my maw as I walked onto the sand. It was hot against my daggers. I tried not to stand in one spot too long. This place just felt like happiness which made me sick. I hated light and I hated the sun, I just wanted to be in the darkness but for some reason my daggers drew me here, even when my bodice wanted to go somewhere else, my dagger prevailed into bringing me into this hell. To most it would be heaven but to me it was hell.
I could barely see with the sun shining its rays, I was so use to living in complete darkness. I squinted my orbs to see where I was walking, I tracked up sand underneath m as I moved forward. I looked ahead, at first I saw nothing, but then I saw a speck on the horizon moving. I walked closer to the object that was moving, sand feeling hotter against my daggers. I finally realized that it was another equine. I smelt the air. At first all I smelt was the god for awful smell of sea salt. I snorted and then took another sniff into the air and that is when I smelt the smell of mare. Yes it was a mare. I picked up my daggers and moved into a trot. I watched as the mare stood in the water and looked at the horizon. I quickened my pace to make sure that I would get to her before she decided to go anywhere else, I wasn't sure how long I would last out here.
I finally got within ten paces to her and I slowed down to a walk, now breathing hard. The air was hot and dry. Now whats a thing like yourself doing out here?

Misery looked out at the horizon. It was beautiful. She hated it. She was glad the sun would be setting soon, as it was very low in the sky. Darkness would be so pleasant. Suddenly she was startled by a voice behind her."Now whats a thing like yourself doing out here?" It said. She turned swiftly to see a strong black stallion. She smiled.Perfect. She thought smugly to herself. She smiled slightly at the stallion, and stepped forward."I'm not quite sure. You don't look all that comfortable here. What are you doing in a place like this? She inquired, as she stepped past the stallion. She looked over all the beach. She didn't like it. In the distance she could see what looked to be like a clump of trees that might be comfortable to rest under tell darkness set in.She turned to look back at the stallion. "When you have an answer I'll be over there." She said shifting her gaze to the trees."You better not take long. I don't think this beach likes you." She said laughing. Without looking back she took off towards the trees. The Shade. The Darkness. As she ran she smirked. My first victim. She thought to herself. "I mean friend." She murmured quietly.
