I told you, Hannibal. I told you. You're wasting your precious time up there, fooling around with the petty dramas of these horses. I want the Era destroyed, as well as your son Orpheus, or else I'll drag you back down here and your precious herd and family can fend for themselves. I... I need more time. Please, just give me more time... I will get them once it's a litlte warmer, once I have more horses ot help me. Help you?! HELP YOU!? Hannibal, look at yourself. You are my SPAWN. You would do just fine in a fight against the Eras and your son... Now. Stop delaying and finish this once and for all.
Jerking out of his sleep, Hannibal's head lifted from his side, blue eyes opening quickly. The Devil was telling him to act now, against everything he wanted to do. Ears tilted back against his head, listening to the melting of the snow around him, and he almost forgot he was in Felwood. Quivering his nostrils slightly, he pushed himself from the chilly ground, his body twitching ever so slightly as he shook out his coat. Evil blue eyes darted around the clearing in which he had fallen asleep, as if someone had been spying on him. Come out! I know that you're here, Hannibal's voice turned into a snarl, as he glanced around at the dead trees that called the forest home.
Finally, the horse who had been watching him appeared, fiery eyes staring at her father. No need to fret, Father. It is just me. You are really edgy when you first wake up... maybe you should relax, the filly let a smirk cross her maw, as she eyed her father and his tense body. The painted stallion's nostrils twitched at his daughter's words, and he turned away from her, heading into the forest without a word. Aeon took the que and followed after him, tail flicking slowly behind her. So, spring has finally come, Father. Time to start gathering troops up for a battle that will shake the foundations of Isola, the young mare spoke boldly, finally catching up to her father and walking along side him. Hannibal merely snorted at her words, half tempted to tell her off, but did otherwise. Instead, he continued walking, until they were out of the trees and in the vast meadow that was the main point of the Felwood harem. Blue eyes of the Lead glanced around, hoping to pick up on any of his herd members, but caught no one. Shaking his head, he watched the snow, almost as if he wanted to just melt it all now, and get back the greeness that had once taken hold of the meadow.
Aeon noted her father's quiet demeanor and clenched her jaw, wondering if he was arguing with himself once again. She kept her mouth shut, however, and stood beside her father, staring out across the meadow, nostrils flared ever so slightly.
Joker had tailed the pair up until the forest's edge, then moved away, moving along the forest's border, his hooves sloshing upon the ground in the melting snow. He hadn't seen his ward, Haize, since they had spoke with Devil. He feared that Davi had gotten to the young mare, had heard their conversation, and he also feared the worst for the young mare.
He wasn't going to admit it to anyone, but he was beginning to grow attached to the young Era, how she seemed so innocent, so young. She was beautiful, she had seen Tuula before, and she looked almost exactly like her. The young stallion paused slightly as he neared the stream, the loud rushing of water a surprise to him. He didn't think it would be too much of a problem for the herd, until he saw it. The snow from the mountains had melted, surging down the mountainside and into the creek below. The water's now exceeded it's banks, sloshing along the now exposed grass and mud.
Nostrils quivered, and Joker glanced around, half hoping to see Haize or Devil by the swelled creek.[/blockquote][/blockquote] [ TAKING OVER ME. evanescence ] SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY SEVEN. LIZZEH 2011.

Davi had been preoccupied the last few weeks. Her energy and time was spent spying on neighboring herds and even a few of her own herd mates – everyone was a potential enemy, and they all deserved to succumb to the demonic trio of the isle!
The fiery spawn was trekking back into Felwood with a victorious smirk upon her kissers when the wind told of murmurs between her sibling and father. Hooves moved through the melting slush eagerly towards the duo. However, the eagerness subsided as she came upon the figures. Her father looked disturbed as ever, and Davi could not help but humor the doubtful thoughts of his ability in this mission. Perhaps, it would only be two that the horses of this island should bow down to? Three was a crowd after all.
Shaking her crown, her fiery mane crackled wildly in the crisp air as she tried to disband such musings for the time being. “Father, Aeon,” hissed from her lips, tiara bobbing to each in turn. “I have some good news,” she seemed to whisper although her eyes were large and bright with excitement. “The Era seem to have lost mother. She was out alone this winter far from their domains – an easy target this makes of her and them. Their numbers are low and her completely and utterly alone. However,” the mare’s jaw clenched as the next words gathered in her throat as a venomous mass, “the wind seems uneasy with the conditions in your own herd. Something just is not right, father.”
Haize had tried and tried to find her way home, but only wound up further lost in the domains of Felwood. This place was unfamiliar and Davi’s trickery with the wind made it nearly impossible to navigate. This place had become her personal labyrinth; there appeared to be no escape. And, yet, it might have been that a portion of her did not want to leave. Joker had been a source of comfort in these times; she wanted to find him more than she wanted to go home.
Ears twitched nervously as she neared voices. The young Era stopped in place – she was aware that those did not belong to Joker or Devil. It was her demonic half-sisters and that hellish ruler of these lands. The mare’s tail tucked under as she bolted in the opposite direction. The haste in which she ran, constantly looking over her withers to see if she was being pursued, led her unable to truly pay attention to where she was going. The next thing she knew, she had plunged into the swollen water. A squeal left the mare’s maw as she thrashed around in shock and dismay before realizing what had happened. Calming to merely bated breaths, Haize pulled herself towards the shore.
Drenched and frozen from the icy waters, the speckled ivory collapsed a few feet from the waters. Her eyes were dilated and her body trembled as she tried to calm her labored heart from her previous fright – she had not even taken notice to Joker’s silhouette only a short distance from her.

The chestnut mare had been in and out of the Felwood lands like a fox. One day she was around, the next she was nowhere to be found – with the only the slightest scent to hint where the devilish girl had gone. But still, her secrets were not hidden to the wind. She feared greatly that one of Hannibal’s little minions would run along and spoil her fun – that is, should they hear of her dealings with the fire herd. Any other Era would care little to none if they heard of it, since she had barely met a single one other than Davi & Aeon’s prisoner. She didn’t matter to them, they didn’t matter to her. But Hannibal’s two offspring and the fact that she didn’t know how the hellhound would react was enough to set her in a defensive mood. Her tail flicked softly at the thought, making a faint whip-like sound in the air. She had no idea how this entire thing would play out when the battle came along, much less what would happen if it were to be found out now. Devil’s fiery eyes were stained with the trouble of the decisions ahead of her. Perhaps she shouldn’t have awoken the Navitas; perhaps she should have stayed in the background, going down in history as nothing more than just another of Felwood’s horses – but alas, she couldn’t even do that.
The mare shook her head, nostrils flaring as she took off from where she stood. She pranced along the watery riverbed slowly, being cautious as to step around the flooded areas and stay on the dry spots, which there weren’t quite many of. She worked her way down the river, her gaze following the gushing water, as well as the faint movement of small fish in the stream’s depths. A soft huff escaped her chest, partly in protest of it all. She wanted the winter snow to melt away, banishing itself so that summer would come rolling along. But, as with everything else, time was needed for anything to happen.<br>She despised winter and its frigid cold – snow was beautiful when it first fell, and then it got old quickly.
The Arabian-esque mare reduced the speed at which she walked, glancing across the river to the Felwood lands. She was just returning from a visit home, and she needed a way to get across – quickly. When she’d left, the stream was not much bigger than usual, and now it was overflowing – covering any ways she could get across without getting moderately soaked. Oh, bloody hell. There has to be a way across this thing. Her eyes scanned the view of the river, finally stopping as they locked their gaze on Joker. The sight of him lifted her spirits slightly, sending her walking down the riverbank liberally and letting out a soft nicker. Hopefully, he wouldn’t be too surprised that she’d just been returning from somewhere outside the territory, as usual.
It was then that her attention was drawn to the blur of an ivory mare, bolting out of the forest and accidentally plunging into the stream for a few seconds. She lifted her head to let out a troubled snort, though it soon crossed her mind who the creature was. She watched for a few seconds, standing still as she was unable to make her way across to the two.

Spirit awoke to find two sets of hoofprints. One being hannibals, as he was not there, and she didn't know who the other was. He must have slipped away quietly, as he hadn't awoken them. She nudged Vodka saying 'Wake up.' Her words were soft, but firm. There was an uneasiness in the air. Something just didn't feel right. She could feel panic rising, but quickly chocked it back. Vodka groaned, obviously not wanting to wake. Spirit gently nipped her shoulder once more. She followed behind her mother as she quickly walked through the slippery, muddy, still snow covered terrain. Vodka too could sense the uneasy feeling in the wind. Unlike her mother she didn't feel panicked, she was ready for a little bit of drama or something. They stopped at the edge of the forest and looked out upon the once green meadow. The small creek was more like a river, a barrier, it seemed almost impossible to get across it. Spirit watched in horror as an ivory colored equine plunged into the icy water, Vodka simply smirked. It was apparent she hadn't developed her mothers caring attitude. Once again they were moving forward, and it wasn't long before Spirit reached Hannibal's side. She looked up into his eyes, searching.. She wanted to know exactly what was unfolding.
Vodka stood next to her mothers side, and sighed seeing that the equine had made it. Ah, but there was still another on the other side. Maybe there was a chance for some drama yet. She wasn't worried about what was going to happen, she welcomed it. It would be nice if she knew was going to happen though. It seemed everyone had sensed the uneasiness in the air. The ivory colored equine had given some explanation, but it didn't seem like it was the explanation. Vodka flicked her tail impatiently. Spirit looked on worriedly at the equine across the river, waiting for someone to do something so they wouldn't end up like the poor horse who had just tried crossing. She wished Hannibal would do something, at least say something. She placed her maw on his shoulder and closed her eyes, nuzzling it softly.

speech , speech , speech thoughts , thoughts , thoughts |
The stallion barely listened to his daughter's voices as his mind was lost in thought. He had finally found Spirit and Vodka, or more literally, they had found him. He was glad they were back within Felwood, and that the winter's harshness didn't claim their lives. As Davi spoke, the stallion merely flicked his tail, not too interested in news abou the Era herd. He was beginning to simply not care, to let this stupid thing slip from his mind. He had a herd to run, after all, and declaring war right now wasn't on his list of things to do. Beside the grand stallion, Aeon shifted her weight, and hissed under her breath. He obviously doesn't care, Davi, so I wouldn't insist on trying to talk to him, the young mare snorted, her nostrils flaring ever so slighty at her twin. Ears tilted forward, as Spirit and Vodka approached Hannibal, and another snort escaped her. Fiery eyes narrowed slightly at her half sister, and then she glanced to Davi, a devious smirk crossing her maw.
From down the bank, Joker's head turned at Devil's whinny, and he pricked his ears up. Tossing his head to reset the position of his forelock, the large stallion made his way down the muddy bank toward her, until he noticed the ivory body of Haize. Worry crossed his eyes, as he noticed that she was drenched from plowing through the stream, and he moved toward her, head lowered slightly. Haize... why'd you go and do that? You should know that the waters are freezing and that it's no place for a horse, especially one in your condition, the stallion stopped beside the mare, and nudged her cheek gently, wuffling. A caring smile crossed his maw, and he flicked his tail. Nipping at her shoulder, he urged her to her hooves. Now, get up. We don't want Hannibal thinking you're easy prey for the twins or anyone else. The stallion took a step back, so that the younger mare could get up, and glanced toward Devil.
He hoped that the mare understood why he was being so nice to the mare. He paused in his thinking, and flicked his ears back. Why exactly was Joker being nice to the prisoner of Hannibal and the Felwood herd? Nostrils quivered, and he began to think about it all. Was he falling for the young Era mare? She sure was pretty, one of the prettiest mares he had come across. But, there was Devil, the first mare he had ever had feelings for. Eyes narrowed slightly, and an evil demeanor passed over him. Stomping a forehoof, he reached down, nipping at Haize's shoulder angrily, hoping to draw a bit of blood. Get up, you stupid mare. You are being nothing but a burden on this herd. You're lucky Hannibal hasn't done you in by now, if the weather hadn't taken your life, his words were filled with anger, the anger at what the emotions this mare was causing him to feeling. Eyes turned to look at Hannibal, wondering if the other painted stallion was even watching the scene. Luckily, Hannibal was looking toward Spirit, and the Irish Draft flared his nostrils.
Hannibal shifted sligthly, watching Spirit, and he almost shrugged off the mare's touch upon his shoulder. But, it calmed his nerves, and he leaned slightly into her touch. A small smile crossed his maw, and he closed his eyes, breathing out slowly. Ears flicked forward, and he felt Aeon's uneasiness beside him. Finally, he opened his eyes, and breathed in deeply. Spirit, you and I have to talk after I have a meeting with everyone. The stallion threw his head into the air, calling everyone that was within the meadow to him. Eyes drifted from the four around him, toward Devil, and his blue eyes narrowed at the mare. He knew about the alliance this mare held with the Fire Lord, and he knew the tie she had to Joker. It caused an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach, and the stallion breathed out shakily.[/blockquote] SAME GIRL. usher&r,kelly six seventy six table {c} lizzeh 2011

The feeling in the air obviously had everyone on edge, it was a sickening feeling. The feeling was gut-wrenching, something you feel in the pit of your stomach. It felt like there was a lighted fuse, a ticking time bomb, every second felt like an hour. tick.. tock.. tick.. tock.. just waiting for something to happen. a horror movie, and the perfect setting. it wasn't a pretty spring day, there weren't bird singing, nothing. the dark clouds hung low, swirling above them, they too seemed to be waiting. knowing something was about to erupt, something that might just shake the very foundation. she felt hannibal lean into her touch, she could feel him shake as he breathed out. even he seemed anxious, tense. Spirit, you and I have to talk after I have a meeting with everyone. she could only manage a barely audible whisper yes.. she nodded her head ever so slightly, still burying her maw into his shoulder.
Vodka, on the other hand, felt the same things her mother felt, only she handled them differently. whatever it was she wanted it to be big, dramatic. Adrenaline raced through her veins as she awaited the moment of the eruption. She flicked her tail and shifted her weight. She cast a glance in her fathers direction and smirked, what did he have to worry about? couldn't he every so easily wipe each and every equine out? why wasn't he getting his revenge? confusion, frustration, and irritation engulfed her. the now raging river, and gloomy atmosphere made it the perfect picture for a fight.
Spirit straightened up and looked over at her anxious daughter, she shot her a warning glance. she didn't need to open her mouth and create a scene, for which the young mare was known to do. spirit was a bit upset she hadn't turned out more like herself, instead she had her fathers attitude. she was afraid that whatever was about to unfold may teach her a lesson, her last lesson. everything seemed like a dream, a nightmare. it didn't seem real. she had just gotten back the two most important things in her life, hannibal and vodka, and now she was risking losing them again. no, no, no, this wasn't fair.. she tried not to think of what hanni needed to talk to her about. it couldn't be good. did he want to say good-bye for the last time?
Vodka was curious as to what would be discussed during the meeting. she was happy to be old enough to be involved now. she also wondered what her mother and father would discuss afterwards, but it didn't matter much to her. if it was really war who where they trying to defeat, and where were they trying to conquer? it was all about power to her, the more land the better. she was sure her mothers thoughts were elsewhere, about her and about her father. vodka grimaced at the thought of both of them dying, but quickly shrugged off the thought. the young mare stomped her hoof impatiently in the soft ground, waiting.
