daniaya. Goodbyes are meant for forever. Would it hurt you so much if I left?
Those were the last words the dun mare had said to Orpheus before she fled his lands for the last time. She felt cleansed of sins, finally breaking all ties with the Darks forever. She couldn't help but feel bad for what she had done, leaving Orpheus alone in that desolate land to pull together a feeble herd, but she knew the odds would be better here. She wasn't born a dark, and though she could be horribly evil, her heart was good, as were her intentions.
“It is your choice whether you stay here or not, but you are always mine.”
These words that Orpheus had said haunted her in a way unlike any fear she had ever felt. Though it was a notion of the stallion's love for her, these words strangled and suffocated her and robbed her of her rights in this world. She knew now the warmth she felt was not from any form of love, but from the burning fire of bottled hatred fueled from the pits of his soul. Daniaya could not handle such a temper mental stag.
What would Orpheus do when he found out she left to make connections with the ones he hates most? And should she even care? She never wanted to have to hear his poisonous name again. She was six now, nearly seven, and she knew it was time to start making her life. Perhaps she would resort back to her old, teasing ways - but a new found sense of maturity begged her not to.
Being in these lands.. it felt right.

Lassan had been grazing on some of the gras that had decided to show up over the small wamr spell that had melted the thinner coverings of snow in the land. No, this grass was not the best, but it would suffice. The Arab left all the decent grass to his herd members. He always would put their needs before his own, unlike most herd leaders who did the exact opposite.
The stallion looked up as he heard a raven cawing in the distance. What could this be about? It was his friend Giltrent, who had served him well since the day they had met. The ebony avian quickly landed on a branch near Lassan and told him of a new horse in the lands. Lassan thanked him and quickly cantered off.
Giltrent had said that it was a mare and she did not look like she wished to cause any trouble in the land. That was a veryu good thing. Lassan was tired of dealing with horses who just liked to come into lands to start chaos. He had delt with a few of those over the past months. It was safe to say his patience level was running dry with them.
The stag slowed his pace when he saw the mare just ahead. He lifted his dished face and let out a welcoming whinny before he slowed his pace and calmly walked up to her. "Greetings." he said with a bow of his head. "Welcome to Terra delle Liberta. I am Lassan, leader of this land and herd." he introduced himself. "Who might you be?"

daniaya. Hello's are meant for the moment. It was not long before an equine approached her, but Daniaya was not suprised. She knew Terra Delle Liberta was swollen with many a horse, not to mention allies often came to talk with the lead stallion, whom she knew was dubbed 'Lassan'. Living in such a large herd would be an enormous change from her nomadic lifestyle, but she was more then ready to make the change. Too many a time had she been tossed around, hurt by stallions, thrown from hers. She was a full blown adult now, and it was time she settled.
The stallion was dark, as black as polished ebony, with a long, thin mane and tail set. She knew right away who this was - Lassan himself. An old legend within the isle, known for many things - some good, some bad. He had been a player in his hayday, that she knew, but he was older now, and she guessed he had a steady mate. She was shocked at how many children he had running around, but that was not any of her business, now was it? She was here for a home and she better respect the leader of this place.
Greetings, Lassan. She bowed her dainty head, long thick mane bounding over as she did so. She flicked her forelock from her eyes and went on. My name is Daniaya, and I came here to perhaps start over? I come from the ties of Orpheus and the darks. But I no longer want to live that life. She sighed and looked away, horribly ashamed. I would love to call this place my home, Sir Lassan, if that is alright with you.

"Welcome Daniaya." he said with a bob of his crown. She certainly had a pretty name. It was fitting though, a pretty name for a pretty face. She had said that she had come here to start over. Lassan had many horses in his herd who had been in bad situations before. Liberta was a place where horses came to free themselves of their pasts and let the memories die. Daniaya would fit in just fine here.
He gave her credit for being able to leave Orpheus' herd. He was one of the most hated and feared stallions on the island. For this mare to leave him and try to start over was a wonderful thing. Daniaya should be honoured for such a feat. The island needed more horses like her; smart, courageous, and pleasant to be around.
"You are more than welcome to this herd Daniaya." Lassan said with a small bow of his head. "Would you care for me to show you around, or would you like to explore the land yourself?" he asked. From previous experience some horses liked to be shown around their new land, while others wanted to discover everything on their own.
