Erik rolled his eyes as he heard Lynx call them out. Why the hell were they hiding anyway? Of course, Erik liked it, but he didn't see any reason to it. There was no point to it. There was nothing to hide form in Liberta. He scowled and reluctantly followed Chrissy out of the brush.
Erik kept the scowl on his face as he presented himself before Lassan, and who seemed to be one of his half-brothers. He stood further back, not coming as close to his mother as Chrissy had done. He prefered to stay back. The colt wasn't exactly a social butterfly, in fact, he didn't even say hello to the new horses.
______
Lassan smiled as he and Lynx fell into easy conversation. He was glad to have her back in his life. "Oh I've been good. I'm just glad things around here have been quiet, especially with those blasted Zunden." he said. It was a major weight off of his shoulders knowing that the Zunden decided to back off for a while. It had been nice. Almost too nice. Just like the calm before the storm. Lassan just hoped that that storm was far into the furture.
The stallion looked up when Lynx said she wanted to introduce him to her family. Well, he knew that Masquerade was her new mate, but he had not met their children yet. Just then a shy looking filly, of about two or three, came out from the woods saying hello to him and Taren. Lassan gave her a friendly smile and said "'Ello. I'm Lassan, but I'm guessing you already knew that. Chrissy's your name then?"
She really was a pretty filly, just like her mother. The onyl thing he found odd that the marking on her face was black, unlike her father's characteristic white. She was still unmistakably of Masquerade's linneage. As for her brother, who was quietly standing off in the distance, he had a white facial marking just like Masquerade.
______
Polaris gave his mother an odd look as she nuzzled him. He wasn't very affectionate with his mother since he had grown up, but he supposed that she still thought of him as her little boy. He shook his head and followed after her, hoping she knew the way to where his father and Lynx and her family were. He was actually excited to meet them.
______
Cosette groaned as she heard that they had to go meet her dad's old friend. "But whhyyyy?!" she whined as she lept up from her hiding spot and cantered over to Zeake with an angry look on her face. "Fine. Lets go. I didn't want to play anyway."
______
Fantasma wandered out of her hiding place as well, equally as disappointed. She quickly trotted up to where Zeake and Cosette were waiting for her.

ooc; MY PINKIES ARE COLD characters; Lynx & Chrissy & Taren muse; okayish D: No postie for Taren song; here we are - breaking benjamin " Lynx speech" " Chrissy speech" " Taren speech"
» Lynx watched as her foals came out of the forest, head head held high in pride. She and Masquerade had produced a pretty good-looking pair, and she most certainly would do it again. She glanced at Masquearde, smirked, then turned her attention back to the group. She looked at her son Erik, and started to frown. Why was he so..down all the time? She had noticed he was always in a better mood when he was with his sister, but right now he did not look happy at all. Probably because she made them hide in the woods. Chrissy and Erik probably thought she was insane for doing that, but she actually wanted to keep them hidden incase she and Lassan didn't get along, and something happened to them. She always tried keeping her children's safety in mind, which also meant she didn't let them around Sweeney too often. But either way, Erik still didn't look to happy all the time anyway. He was like his father, and brooded a lot. True, he had a lot of dark influences around him, but it was still depressing to see her son like that. He never really had shown affection for her, or his father. Only Chrissy. Had she failed as his mother? She looked away, suffering a blow on her essteam, and towards her daughter and Lassan.
---
Chrissy nodded at the black arab. "Yessir," she replied, giving him a shy smile. She wasn't ever really good talking to adults that she didn't know. It was always and awkward thing for Chrissy, but when it came to horses her age, she thrived. Chrissy glanced between Lassan and her half-brother, Taren. She could definantly tell that Taren was Lassan's son, they looked a lot alike besides their coloring. She glanced back at Erik, flicking her tail.

The young stallion kept his emerald eyes trained on his sister as she looked back at him. He snorted and flicked his tail as he debated whether or not he wanted to go up near her. He could tell that she probably wanted him there, but he did not want to go there. He hated being the centre of attention.
Erik gritted his teeth and slowly walked over to Chrissy so he was several strides behind her. His optics flicked to the faces of all the horses that ahd gathered. This certainyl was quite the affair.
He easily picked out the foals that were related to Lassan. The two looked a lot like him and the other only resembled him a bit. Then there was the black and white brindle who looked nothing like him at all. The brindle only looked like his mother. This family affair was too much for him. Why couldn't things be simple?
______
"It's a very pretty name." Lassan commented after Chrissy confirmed that it was her name. Lassan could immeadiatly tell that she was uncomfortable conversing with him.
He stepped aside and bit and motioned to his family. "Well this is my family." he said glad to see they had all showed up. "My mate, Venom." he said with a smile nodding in her direction. "My two sons Polaris and Zeake." he said seeking out the two colts. "Then the filly over there is my daughter Cosette and the other filly with her, Fantasma, is my grandaughter." Lassan finished. Hopefully introducing the rest of the horses would make the rest of Lynx's family feel less awkward.
______
The young stallion stood beside his brother. They both seemed to be staring at the same thing; Chrissy. She certainly was a beautiful young mare. Polaris knew that Zeake thought the same exact thing. He also knew that this would probably turn into something competative eventually.
The colt flicked his ears when he heard his name being mentioned by his father. At first he thought he was being asked to do something until he realised that he was just being introduced. He smiled and bobbed his head in greeting.
______
The filly had quietly followed her brothers to where her father was. She had been a bit surprised to see all the new horses. She trotted up to her father and stood anext to him as he spoke to an older filly. Cosette smiled at her, glad to see another girl beside hereslf or Fantasma for once.
Once Lassan had finished speaking, Cosette stepped forward and smiled. "Hi, my names Cosette!" the filly said proudly to Chrissy. "What's your name?" she asked eagerly.
______
The masked filly followed behind her friend the whole way. Fantasma wasn't one for being to vocal inless she was alone witha couple horses. She didn't like groups like this but she came along anyway. She always felt better if Cosette was there with her.
She stood behind Venom as Cosette trotted up to make herself known. Fantasma was perfectly fine with blending in the background. It drew less attention to her that way.
Her eyes raked over the other horses. There was a fine looking Arab mare who sort of looked like Lassan, probably because they were the same breed. Then there was a large stallion in the distance who looked a bit like Fantasma herself. Well, he did have the same white face as she did. Then the two younger ones also looked a bit like her. The filly didn't think much more about this as her attention was drawn to a bird overhead.

ooc; its cold in here T_T characters; Lynx & Chrissy & Taren muse; song; here we are - breaking benjamin Lynx&Chrissy&Taren » Lynx blinked and turned her attention to the approuching group of horses. She immediatly recognized Venom and Polaris, but the other three she did not. She smiled politely at Venom, nodding her tiara at her. "Hello, Venom," she said in return, green eyes studying her pink ones briefly. She could see that the other mare was a bit nervous on her seeing Lassan again. But truely, the mare had nothing to worry about. She was with Masquerade now, and she didn't think anyone could change that even if they tried.
» The chestnut's attentioned slipped to Zeake, and caught him looking at her scars that decorated her pelt. She blinked uncomforatably, an ear turning back on her skull, a ghost of a frown beginning to appear on her maw. She always felt skewerd when others' eyes found their way to her scars. She had recieved quite the count of beatings when she lived with Aro, and the memories began to flood back to the arab. She shook her mane, and released those thoughts from her head. That was the past; live in the here and now. Lynx perked up out of her thoughts when Lassan began introducing his family, and her green irises studied each horse in turn. The one that caught her eye, though, was the filly in the back---what was her name? Oh yeah---Fantasma. She had a white mask on her face, as clear as day. She blinked a few times, then turned her head to promptly look at Masquerade. But she easily let it go. Masquerade had never snuck off before, and he had many children that could have sired the little filly. Unfortuneatly, Lynx would have to deal with the fact that Masquerade had..loved other mares.
-----
» The masked filly offered the black stallion a smile as he complimented on her name, dipping her head politely. "Thank you, sir," she replied. Her head turned slightly as Erik came to join her by her side, and she smiled at him, nudging him gently with her hip in silent thanks. She didn't quite like being away from her brother in new environments like this, and she was glad he went out of his way to help her, even though it was clear he wasn't enjoying being there in the center circle of converstaion. Chrissy turned and pricked her ears as a group of five horses came to join them. She nodded and smiled at Venom, and then her eyes wandered over to the two colts, who seemed to have their eyes both trained on her. Especially the older one. She couldn't help but smile to herself, but then remembered what she had just got done talking to Erik about in the forest, and just turned her smile into a polite, reserved one. Even though they were awfully cute..
» The chestnut filly blinked and lowered her head slightly as one of the younger fillies came up to her and proclaimed she was Cosette. Chrissy giggled at her, a grin breaking out on her maw. "Nice to meet you, Cosette. My name's Chrissy," she told her with a bob of her tiara. She remembered when she was as young as this filly here. Those were the days she most enjoyed. She glanced up at the other filly, who was looking at her, Erik, and her father, before a little bird flying around caught her attention. Chrissy shrugged it off and turned back to Cosette.

Vodka's Venom { I saw you going down But you never realized that your drowning in the water So I offered you my hand ! } | Venom flicked her ears, looking to Masquerade. She looked back to Fantasma, remembering her father. "Yes. She smiled, looking to Lassan. Her bright eyes looked down to Cosette, then to Zeake. But Zeake wasn't paying any attention to anyone but the others. Typical Zeake, Venom smiled faintly before looking back to Lynx. "I haven't seen you in a while. Since that stallion got you." She commented quietly, but she meant nothing by it. Just some friendly chit chat. But she turned away before she could answer to focus on Masquerade, looking to him quietly. Damn her short attention span.
| The brindle glanced back to the chestnut as she cocked an ear back, and turned his full attention to her, ears drawn forward. He eyed her, pale eyes watching her curiously. Why was she so conscience about her scars? Zeake flicked an ear before turning his attention back to Chrissy. "Hi Chrissy. I'm Zeake." He gave her his usual crooked grin and took a step forward, looking down to his little sister. "Cosette are you bothering her?" He grinned and nudged the little filly playfully. Erik's face was set to a scowl as he watched all the horses around him. Why couldn't they just leave. And soon. This was definitely not his cup of tea. He would rather be back home and off by himself somewhere in the woods. Come to think of it, he really did not have to come here today. He was self sufficient and could certainly live on his own without any trouble.
The truth was that Chrissy was keeping him there. He felt obligated to stick by her and protect her from almost anything and everything. His idea of what he should protect her from was much different than her idea of what he should protect her from. Erik, of course, did not know this, nor could he be told.
Once the two, young stallions started talking to his twin, he let out a snort and moved closer to her. He held his head higher and glared down his nose at the two boys. He knew what their aim was and he wasn't going to let them get what they wanted. He would make sure of it.
______
Lassan smiled as he saw that his children had taken to Lynx and her daughter. He knew that Masquerade was staying back, well aware of all the trouble he had put Lassan and those close to him trough in the past. Lassan was actually starting to have a little respect for the horse he once thought of as a complete rouge and ruffian.
The Arab then turned his attention to the chestnut, not wanting to ddwell on the large, masked stallion much longer. "So where are you lot living now?" he inquired, curious to know where his friend and her family had settled down. He had a vague idea of where, be he did not know for certain.
______
Polaris shot his younger brother a looks as he made his move to get to Chrissy before Polaris. The young stag knew that this would mean a friendly battle between the two. Quite honestly, he was looking forward to it. It was a battle of charm and wits. He was most certain he would win.
He moved closer to his brother and Chrissy with a smile on his face. "And I'm Polaris." he said with a small bow. "Charmed to make your acquaintance." he said sweetly. With that he shot his brother a look and then returned his attention to the filly.
______
Cosette beamed as the older filly began to talk to her. "Hi Chrissy!" she exclaimed. She then turned her head as she saw Zeake come over to them and introduce himself. She flattened her ears as he spoke. Who did he think he was, butting into a conversation like that?
She then glared at him as he asked if she was bothering Chrissy. "No, I'm not bothering her Zeake! I just came over to say hi. Maybe you're annoying her more than me."
she said. "Anyway, those are my brothers." she told Chrissy with a nod to the two colts who had just come over. "And Fantasma back there is my best friend. She's a little shy though." she told the filly looking back to Fantasma who was still hiding behind Venom. ______ Fantasma looked over to Cosette as she heard her name. What was she saying about her? The masked filly wandered over to stand behind Cosette and gazed at the older filly. Once again Fantasma's eyes wandered to the stallion just behind Chrissy and the bigger one back a bit further. "Are you related to me?" she asked hopefully, looking directly at Chrissy. ______ Masquerade continued to quietly graze as all the other equines conversed. He would just keep back this visit. He knew that Lassan would probably never forgive him, but Masquerade was not here to ask for forgiveness. He was here because the mare he loved asked him to come. Whether or not Lassan for gave him was his own problem. The stallion lifted his head as he heard a filly ask Chrissy if they were related. What?! His mismatched eyes narrowed. He looked the filly up and down for a moment. She did look an awful lot like him. She could be a random mare's foal that he had messed around with, but given her age, that was not the case. Perhaps one of his many children now had their own children. He could only hope that that was what it was. Otherwise he was just as confused as Fantasma. ooc; OOH SHE TOUCHED MY TRA LA LA characters; Lynx & Chrissy & Taren muse; song; here we are - breaking benjamin Lynx&Chrissy&Taren » The mare was glad for a distraction that Chrissy provided for the young brindle so that his eyes weren't on her anymore. She looked briefly to her twins, noticing Chrissy was receieving lots off attention, while Erik looked plain out pissed off to be here. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes at him. Nothing ever made her son happy, other than going off by himself in the woods. Even at a younger age, he was obviously very independant. She could tell he didn't come here for her, but for Chrissy.
» Lynx's attention turned back to Venom as she mentioned not seeing her since Aro had stolen her away. She nodded solemnly, remembering that. It was such a long time ago, and she had almost forgotten it. Her thoughts drifted to her second son, Blazer. She hadn't seen him ever since she walked away with Masquerade. She sometimes regretted leaving him there, but she knew he was a lost cause. His sire had such a hook in him, it would be impossible to get him to change. Besides, by now he had to be only a couple months younger than Taren. She wondered how he looked all grown up, but she thought best that she shouldn't see him.
» The chestnut turned and looked at Lassan as he asked where she and her family were living. She smiled. "We're staying in Scure, along with a friend of mine and her...mate, and their child. Its not actually that bad there," she told him, shaking her mane and shurgging her withers. Her attention snapped to the masked filly as she asked Chrissy if they were related. She shot her mate a look, but otherwise didn't involve herself in their conversation, turning back to Venom and Lassan.
-----
» The masked arab looked up as the two stallions came to join them, the first asking if Cosette was bothering her. The filly looked angry at this, and quickly snapped back at him. She couldn't help but smile in amusement. She nodded to the little filly and lifted her gaze from her to the young horses gathered around them. "Hello, I'm Chrissy," she replied to both of the young stallions, her green and brown eyes glittering as she absorbed the attention she was recieving. She raised her head and studied each of them, and her eyes rested on Fantasma as she spoke, asking them if they were related her her. It was obvious that they were, they both had the masked face. But she didn't quite understand why. Her father loved her mother dearly, didn't he? It must have been one of his other children then that sired the filly. Chrissy shrugged at her, tilting her head slightly, glancing at her mother, who was looking at her father funny. "I suppose so," she replied, shrugging her shoulders.

Vodka's Venom { And I'll never call this home without you ! } | The brindle looked away after hearing Fantasma ask the large stallion if they were related. Venom didn't really know herself, but with the masked face, she was guessing they were. But the brindle knew that she wasn't Masquerade's child, if that's what they were wondering. But she kept her mouth shut and looked to Lassan, wondering if he knew himself.
The brindle looked at her mate once again, and she smiled, remembering years ago when she fell for him. And then he fell for her.
| Zeake smiled at Chrissy, but it soon faded into curiosity as Fantasma asked Masquerade if they were related. The brindle's smokey black ears flew forward with curiosity. "I dunno. Are they, Dad?" Lassan was glad that Lynx had somewhere ... safe to live. Scure wasn't exactly a safe place, especially for a mare like Lynx, but Lassan figured if she was still alive and well then there was no need to worry. Masquerade was definately more than capable of protecting her and their children. From the looks of it though Erik was fine just by himself. His mind then went to the horses that they were living with. "Do I know them at all?" he asked Lynx, hoping that maybe he would know, and approve of, who she was sharing her space with. Lassan almost felt like a brother to Lynx and wanted her to be safe.
The black shot his grandaughter a look when she asked if she was related to Chrissy. Zeake then asked him if they were as well. Lassan looked cautiously at Masquerade before answering. He didn't want to cause any trouble by giving some answer that would upset the masked stallion. "Yes. Masquerade's son Jigsaw is her father." Lassan said as nicely as he could. He really hated Jigsaw, just as much as he used to hate Masquerade.
____
Masquerade came closer yet again, feeling that he could try and converse with the black stallion even though they were so different from each other. If he had to behave for Lynx's sake then he would. If he had his own choice he wouldn't even cross Lassan's path. He now realised how much he had basically ruined that horse's life in the past and he now honestly regretted it.
The stallion eyed the small filly when she asked his daughter if they were related. Masquerade honestly didn't even know. He had sired so many horses in his life that she was bound ot be one of their children. The last time Masquerade had mated with any horse was before Chrissy and Erik were born.
When he heard that Jigsaw was the father, he was not shocked at all. In fact, he let out a small, sarcastic laugh. That figured. He had heard that Jigsaw was a mirror image of how Masquerade used to be. No doubt he had more than this daughter out there.
____
Polaris smiled at Chrissy when she told them her name. "That's a lovely name." he commented truthfully. He had never heard of that name before. Of course he didn't get out much seeing as he was always here with his siblings and niece trying to keep them out of trouble.
It was safe to say that when Fantasma blurted out her question Polaris' jaw dropped a bit. The quiet filly had never been so bold in her life. It must be something that she really wanted to know for her to act so out of character.
____
Cosette smiled when she heard Chrissy greet them all back and give her name. She liked that name, obviously her brothers did as well. It caused her to shoot them a look. All they wanted was for Chrissy to like them and be their mate eventaully. Cosette didn't understand that. Why couldn't they just be friends with Chrissy wihtout competing for her affection? It all seemed very stupid to Cosette.
The brindle turned her head when her friend asked Chrissy if they were related. "Fantasma!" she exclaimed in shock. Now Cosette wasn't the most pollite horse when it came to talking, but she htought that that was just an inappropriate thing to ask. Still, her father answered Fantasma's question.
____
Fantasma was silent when she finally got her answer. Sp that big black horse by Lynx was her grandfather. Interesting. that also must mean that the other black stallion who was standing far off from the group was related to her as well. That almost frightened her. Did she look like them? They were pretty intimidating to look at, and Fantasma would be sad if she grew up to be like that. "Oh." was all she had to say when her grandfather told her how she was related.
