OSCURITA. It was a relatively crisp morning, the dark, lush grasses of Terra Scure blanketed in a fine, glimmering mist, something that seemed far to delicate for the Dark Lands of Isola Dei Dei - although, it wasn't even the appearance that made these lands dark, it was the horses it contained. One, in particular, was stood, stock still, radars pricked, firm muscles tense, velveteen nostrils flared drinking the bitterly cold air, thoroughly picking through the scents it contained. Nothing of interest. Orbs, as cold and remorseless as a blade narrowed slightly, their steel depths scanning the horizon - he was bored, he'd had no excitement for the past few months, truth be told he was still angry, furious even over his fae, his fae that got away... Halloween. He still cared for her, and their foal, but that couldn't stop the fathomless bubbling of anger that reached his surface, the red haze that constricted his sight, the adrenaline rush beneath his red hued pelt, the amount of muscle power his tall frame contained. He had to run from it, to race it out of his system, and so, with a bunching of his particularly powerful hindquarters he propelled himself forward with the acceleration of a cheetah, pitch daggers slashing the floor, shattering the majestic beauty of the morning.
He wasn't sure how long he'd been running for, only knew he'd gone too far when he found the rotting carcass of a fellow equine - well, not fellow, Oscurita didn't have "fellow" camrades in this world, only puppets with which he played with, disposed of at his discretion, and he never gained emotional attachments, at least not anymore. "Shit" was the only word that rang throughout his mind, eyes glimpsing around cautiously, stalking along the line of gnarled, sinister trees just to his left; he stayed as far out in the open as possible - they'd have to charge if they wanted to catch him, and he reckoned he'd beat them quite easily with speed. That was when the first silver head emerged from the dark depths of the trees, a grizzly snout snarling, yellowed teeth bared as it sauntered casually down the line, Oscurita leaping into a gentle canter and allowing it to not get any closer - it was strange, it wasn't making any attempt to charge... Ambush. He could feel the heat of the pack's breath, hear their rabid snarling, and all his instincts told him to turn and run, but run where? There was still the case of the one doing the herding, and there could be more to back that one up.. still, worth a try. Sliding onto his hindquarters he excuted the perfect pirouette, launching forwards with the force of a small rhino, the first startled howl of the herding wolf beginning - he couldn't reach him swiftly enough before he alerted the others. With an incredibly powerful strike of a front dagger he swept the first wolf off it's four paws, sending it crashing into a thick trunk of a tree, not even wincing as the sickening snap of vertebrae resounded throughout the forest, the only witnesses the tall figures of the trees, their arms reaching and tugging at the stag's back, not even daring to turn to see if the pack was following - he could hear them perfectly well.
Although he probably would have left the pack trailing on the flat, his sheer size in the forest was his downfall and he couldn't weave through the trees with the ease of the wolves, their rancid pantings and hungry snarling drawing closer with each little mistake he made. They were practically on his heels as the first signs of light began to glare through the break in the trees, one making the mistake of leaping for his hindquarters and receiving a particularly nasty smack to the jaw with both hind legs. He wasn't going to escape this alive, or at least without a few battle scars. Just as he reached the clearing, muscles preparing to accelerate away from these predators the first contact of teeth sank into his flesh, just on top of his back - one must have launched itself onto his back, griping with only it's canines and slashing wildly with it's blunt claws. A pack of around 5 wolves surrounded him, all taking it in turns to try and join the alpha on his back, but Oscurita was too quick with his hooves, knocking two unconscious with one swift kick as they both jumped at the same time, bronking all the time to remove the one that was making ribbons of his back, reaching down and grabbing one by the throat and tearing through the soft flesh, feeling the warmth of blood and death fill his mouth, kicking one square in the chest so it fell and taking the chance to beat it to death with his front hooves. It was, as most fights are in this world, bloody, unjust, and unequal. Yet, somehow Oscurita had come out of it fighting. There was one wolf still on the floor, but it looked so shell shocked at what it had just witnessed that it just stood there, and the brute set himself the task of removing the one on his back, throwing himself around, bucking, rearing, but nothing would dislodge the teeth set in his flesh. He turned his noble cranium, teeth bared, and snapped at the wolf's face, getting a mouthful of fur at the base of it's neck and tugging with all his might, wrenching it from his back and throwing it to the floor, and stamping at it's most vulnerable place - the head. Sure, it wasn't pretty, but nature isn't all ice coating - it's dark, primitive and instinctual. Dog eat dog.
He'd barely noticed there was still one wolf left, turning slowly in pain to glimpse at it, c.ocking his head as it cowered, frame still quite petite - it was probably just older than a cub. "I don't have to kill you. If you leave now, I will make no attempt to hurt you. " he spoke softly, watching it sprint away into the security of the trees. "God, I really am going soft in my old age.." he thought, crimson blood dripping from his stained maw.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

I walked through the dark woods of Terra Scure. This is where only the darkest equines were found and I was most certainly a dark horse. I wasn't even sure why I was even here, I didn't want to find anyone, I didn't have time for anyone in my life. I trotted through the woods, keeping my gait, swerving in and through the trees that were in my way. You didn't see many other animals around, maybe some wolves and bears but besides that that was usually it. Even few equines traveled through these parts.
The darkness made me happy, knowing that I was alone and I might not be seen. I saw as a wolf ran away in the oppostie direction of me, not even taken in my scent just running...but from what? What could scare a wolf away? There were no bears around, well none that I could smell anyways. I then walked further and then thats when I saw the equine, watching the wolf run away. The stallion was breathing hard and there were dead wolves around. He couldn't have...could he? Well I really wasn't in the mood to find out. I turned on my haunches and turned in the direction that I had come.

OSCURITA. Oscurita moved gently, finding the nearest water source available and glaring coldly at his reflection, assessing the damage done; a shallow slice ran along his jaw line, probably would leave a light scar but nothing compared to old battle wounds; somewhere in the red haze of the heated fight one of the silver fiends must have managed to sink it's canines into his chest, leaving a small wound that would heal in a few weeks, scarring would be minimal; the worst was his back - slashed, bitten, ripped, teared it bled, a crimson tear running down his right hind leg. He was so absorbed in the amount of blood he was losing that he only just caught the scent of another equine as it began to fade again, watching with bitter steel orbs as the figure began to retreat.
He had to admit, the blood loss had made him slightly crazy, and he could still taste the iron sweet taste of the wolves' blood, a trickle still making a path along his chin, rubies falling to the floor, and so with a deep breath he bellowed after the petite figure, "No need to be afraid, I won't hurt you..." his voice was chilling, darker than an onyx and colder than the steel of a sheathed blade, a malevolent edge reverberating throughout the opening.[/blockquote][/blockquote] sorry this is rubbish but i'm really tired

As I walked away I was thinking how nice it would be to have a partner, to have someone walk through this world with me, so I wasn't so alone. I shook my dial, wow was I getting soft. Stupid life was making me soft. I grinded my pearls together at the thought of it. There was no way I was going to get soft. I was one of the toughest mares I know and I wasn't going to give that up.
I was walking when I heard the voice and the scent entered my paper thins. No need to be afraid, I won't hurt you. I shook my dial, thinking that I was finally going crazy but as I shook my dial I caught something in the corner of my eye. It was a dark shadow. I turned my dial once again but this time thats when I saw him walking towards me. So I wasn't going crazy, I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.
I turned my bodice around so that I was looking at the stallion coming towards me. I was in fight mode though so that if he tried anything funny I would fight him til I either won or died. I was in no mood to be messed with with any stallion and I was going to let him know. I put my ears to my crown as he came closer. Thats close enough stallion I spoke as he got within five lengths infront of me.

OSCURITA. He walked slowly, jet hooves trailing slightly over the blood stained ground, a slight limp distinguishing his pain, yet, somehow he still maintained his majestic persona, his presence seeming to smother those around him... He was truly satanic, from the tip of his mahogany radars to the end of his silken coal banner. A true dark. This horse - mare his nose detected - began to turn, a flash of anger radiating through her eyes. "That's close enough stallion" her lyrics floated through the air, bitter undertones warning a fight should he get any closer. And so, he paused, briefly, before taking another tiny step towards her, testing the boundaries. A mischievous grin flashed over stained kissers, making him look, if possible, even crazier, steel orbs locking on hers and trying to assess her personality. These mares, thinking they could genuinely fight - and win - a stallion in a physical match... hilarious. Even in his state the sheer brawn and size of Oscurita compared to this petite mare would dominate her, not that he was in any mood to fight. No. He simply wanted a chat, some company... he'd grown quite lonely, if he was honest. Not that he ever was honest.
He c.ocked his head slightly, the corners of his kissers still tucked, eyes twinkling before speaking ever so softly, so softly she might be tricked into moving closer to catch the words he was uttering, "There's no need to be frightened, I assure you I have no interest in harming you. None at all." His orbs lowered, scanning her body as if she was an exhibit in a zoo before snapping upwards again, staring blankly and uninterestedly past her, waiting for her response.

The stallion took one more step closer to me, I snorted and pawed at the ground with my hoof, causing dust to enter in the air. He was pushing it and I wasn't liking it one bit. I pinned my audits to my cranial and pierced my eyes to him. I had a bad feeling about this stallion. I was ready to fight when I needed to. My bodice was tightened up, ready to put up a fight to him. I bet he was one of those stallions that thought that I couldn't hold my own. Well he didn't know me that was for sure.
What he said next made me want to laugh. That he wasn't here to harm me or anything. My blood flew faster through my veins, mostly with anger, that he would lie to me. I just stared at him as he looked over my bodice. I showed my canines and then closed my mouth, showing my anger to him. And how stupid do you think I am stallion? I asked, voice with sheer anger in it. I hated stallions looking at me like the way he did, made me think I was some sort of exhibit for any equine that came across me. Well I wasn't.
