Raven have moved into the Cascata Più Forrest. She realized then never stand in one stop for only. Though they still visit the beach often, not as often as they left Belle Valle. She often moved their group for a safety factor. Besides, the lands were neutral. They couldn't just stay in one spot or one may get the wrong idea. The Cascata provided a nice covering in the williow trees. She held in the sigh she wanted let out, but she felt her mind sigh mentally for her. She looked down with her crystalline light blue eyes to her side to the bouncy colt. She smiled at her son. Creed. He seemed to never mind the constant moving, just so he was having fun. She smiled again the foal. He always did that to her. She could hear beats of another behind her, but she knew who it was. Battle Cry. Her mind often held him there, and thought of him the time she wasn't planning on thinking of anything. She had gotten use to the stallion's presence quite quickly. Raven, though as welcoming she was, did take some time to try to getting use others around her.She could help but think of the stallion now, listening quietly to his steady hoof beats behind her, though she still focused on watching the path, keeping a good eye on Creed. He was sweet and nice, to her and her son. And he was handsome. She forced herself from looking back at him.
The sun was starting to set, and the forest of willows has already began to turn dark. She knew Creed was getting dark. She looked to the foal. "Come on. Let's get you to bed." She spoke softly, glanced back softly at Battle Cry.

The nomadic lifestyle was not as much for adaptation as it was for reintegration, for the brute was more than used to the traveling that came with being station into a bachelor herd. Plodding behind the pair in front at a steady pace, the dun stag was almost completely left to his own devices, as well as thoughts, as the mare led them across different borders into unfamiliar lands. Though he did not linger, an easy distance always maintained, the honey-laden orbs did gaze upon the fruits of this island, for its beauty was something arcane and unfamiliar to Battle Cry. The previous places he sojourned upon where so easily vacated, for they were usually beaches themselves, with hardly an equine sane between each. Nostrils flared, awaiting the arrival of twilight as flicking ears caught nothing except the lonely howl of wind. Oculars stationed themselves to the rightened place they where always but destined to return to. Raven and Creed, keeping timely manner in front.
Soon, though, as night began to fall over the forest, playing shadows across the hollowed whisp of weeping willows, Raven turned to her son. The audios, though not directed toward him, where registered with ease as if he was used to hearing her voice throughout the entire portion of his life. Blushing slightly as the glance was captured, a small smile was offered as he stepped forward, tentatively ruffling the colt's mane with his muzzle.
|
'Goodnight, Creed.' Stepping back as to give room for the child to settle, the draft moved a ways off into the trees, with clear view of the pair but with enough distance for them to have the need of privacy. Sighing quietly, the ghost of a smile still lingered upon his maw as the eyes traveled to the heavens, peeking with almost shy intent through the canopy of trees overhead. Secluded clouds drifted idly across the moon, the motion enough to draw the oculars but not for them to be stayed. The bright orbs itself was luminous upon this night, and Battle Cry examined it thoughtfully.
Memory splashed over him as if painted raindrops, clouding his conscious as the memories of steep mountain ridges presented themselves in his vision. It was as if he was looking down a tunnel, the world slanted as it always was on the slopes, few patches of sparse vegitation being devoured by the heavy-set mares, most burdened by foal. Himself, youth but old enough to be severed from mother's side, watched the smaller ones, no smile, but soft, overseeing eyes. Booming voice, sharp tone, angry flashing orbs. You are worthless. Leave this job to the mares. If you will ever be anything...-Guilty, the vivid dun snapped himself from the thoughts with a small sigh parting form, eyes closing slightly. You must not linger, it would make matters worse for yourself. Looking back, he watched the painted foal settle down into the brush, smiling still, as the brute wondered to himself if there had every been a more happy colt in the history of all these little worlds. Raven watched the stallion walk to where he would settle himself for the rest of the night. He often gave Creed and her their space, but tonight, she going to find out why he beds so far from them, though it was not really any of her business. Raven won't pry, just simply ask, and see if he will tell her. She often spent a little time up later than Creed, so she got him settled next to a base of a grand willow tree, leaving enough space for her to later squeeze into, beside the foal. "I will be back soon, okay. If you need anything, just holler. I won't be too far." She said, giving a gentle nuzzle. "Goodnight. I love you." She spoke, her words meaningful, like every time she them.
She walked away, going back to the path, and stepped on the trail he left until she reached his chosen spot. She stood for a long moment, watching him silence. Raven finally decided to say something from her quiet view of him, her watching point. "You okay, Battle Cry?" She spoke, stepping quietly now into his view.
Her expression full of concern. She was worried about him. She was just that kind of mare that couldn't help but be the one to help others. She watched his face, waiting to hear his words, and see if he'd try to hide what ever what was bugging him. She would know.

An accustomed tone of heat rose to the brute's defined features as the fea Raven stepped through the trees to stand before him. Unconsciously, the honey hued eyes caught the beams of moonlight reflecting upon the pools of her vibrant coat, only drawing back when the audios reigned down upon him. One look upon the mare's face was enough to send a shower of guilt pulsating through his body, tinge toxically with the threads of regret. With almost a bashful act of adverting eyes, Battle Cry felt more like a child in that moment than the grown stallion had felt in many years. Mind scraped for the answer to question in mind, for it was always his wish to speak with honesty. Staring at the luminous moon peeking through the clouds above, he swallowed, carefully choosing his words, for to him it was of much matter for Raven to not worry about him, for the look said all.
'Just remembering. I shall be fine.' His voice, even to himself, seemed unusually strained, something that made the words unbelievable to even his own ears. Nostrils quivered with breath as the eyes traced back over her lovely form. Cracked by the expression of worry, for himself, it made the stag feel a tinge of guilt once more. The concern was not what should be, but a smile. Consciously, his oculars flickered to the form of the seemingly dozing foal, but not even the traces of smile lit his features as he once more turned to Raven. With Creed in her life, the last thing she needed was to have another worrying chore to care for, not a matter of if that chore where to be looking out for them. A small smile presented itself as the night's chilled wind wrapped around them, not drawing a shiver to his thick pelting as he extended the compassionate natures that usually came with such ease.
Battle Cry wished to tell here that there was no need to worry about him because even if the past haunts, it is the past and cannot be undone by any stretch of magic. He only hopes that she would forget about him for a moment and return to the happy feelings that her foal gave her, as well as himself. Remembering was just a part of life he had learned to live through, the memories not all bad, just a bit too much at times. Stepping slightly closer on impulse, heat cradled his features, for it was something unconsciously taken, though he made no move to correct himself. He only hoped that the mare would not feel uncomfortable at the distance maintained, staring without hesitation into her crystalline orbs. Crystal Raven. The more time he spent around her, the more he came to the realization that it was, in more ways than one, and accurate description, as well as contridiction. |

Raven still watched him with concerned eyes, even when he said he was fine. She stood there silently, for sometime. She knew often or not, sometimes others will burst out if you still stood there for a little bit, but he reminded silent as well. She drift hers to the colt who laid there, and stared for a while, waiting. She didn't smile, but she felt happy inside that she could smile. But she remained straight face. She did take in consideration of his words. Just remembering. She didn't have much that was hard for her to remember. Her humans she had after her breeders sold her loved her greatly, and understood her well. The worse thing that happened to her was being shoed for the first time. The odd, load, metallic sound still rung in her ears. She remember just being horrified of that, but after the first time, she was fine. She continued into her own life, as to when she learned to dance. Even for a heavier set mare like her, she seemed to float and perform with ease in that career, and she loved it. It was fun. And she won quite a bit, but she did lose sometimes, but she was never a sore loser about it. She congratulated everyone, even the humans who couldn't understand her speaking. She sighed, remembering that life. It was a dream to her now, and she did miss her humans, but she never felt bad about the shipwreck that caused her to come here. She survived without it eating away at her. She was glad for her life now. And there wasn't a reason why to hate it. She may not get the pampering of her old life here, but life still bode well for her. She went to look back at Battle Cry when she saw him closer to him. She stared for a moment, at his eyes, blushing. She adverted her eyes away again after a little bit, feeling bashful herself. "Well, uhm..., if you want to talk about it, you know were I am." She spoke, feeling another blush burn hotter in her skin.
She wandered if he was close enough to see the skin beneath her face. She started to step away, her black glossy mane flowing in the self created wind.

The brute fit every methodical part of the fool, and it pressed upon him now as the shower of realization poured as icy water upon his form. Mistakes were always something that were certain to happen, no matter of circumstance nor company. He knew, deeply as well as completely, that he could trust Raven with all the thoughts that plagued him since the departure from the isle that had once served as his home. The only barrrier standing between this and the act was the fact that she, in herself, had more important things to be caring for than the petty remembering fits form a stallion. Battle Cry struggled with protest as she began to step away with the finishing remark, face heating as the part of the role he was destined to design was brought to enlightenment.
|
'Please. Don't leave.' Heat flushed across the draft's refined features as these audios left the confines of his maw, something meant for the mind only to hear, not for the wind to give grace. Embarrassed beyond the degree acceptable, he turned toward her once more, tucking his head as if to hide his face behind the minimal extent of his short forelock. 'I..uh...think it would be nice to...talk to you. If you do not mind, of course. My pardons.' The end was more rushed then the previous statement, though it was more of a stutter than the normal smooth collection of words usually offered to another from his own throat. Raven, she was illuminated more so by the moonlight, as if the surrounding area in itself where merely there to enhance her own beauty. Ears flickered back as the heat spread, for these thoughts should not be encouraged.
Briefly, though not by the chance of second thought, Battle Cry turned his honey hued orbs to the form of the slumbering foal, Creed, as if in wonder to the ease of night's burden. However, this little justice could not distract himself from the mare for even another collected moment as the brute meditated completely upon the arrant ways of his own daftness. Declarations of anything short of idiocy would be so tempted to ease his lips if the stallion even gave thought to opening the confines of his mouth. In this since, it was one of the only reasons silence reigned as the shy methods gazed upon the fea, resigned to the own death of companionship, heart pounding. Sore, hard pulsing of blood as the stance was made. Wait, it beat out. Wait. [/blockquote] Muse: Amazing. :3 OOC: .... Raven turned as she heard his words, hearing them with ease. So he did want to talk to her. She stood there, shyly looking at him. His next set of words cam at her as a slow statement into a quick rolling stutter. But she clearly understood him. "I don't mind at all." She said, her own eyes watching him shyly.
He seemed shy as she was of him. Maybe more. Maybe less. Hard telling. But she didn't care. She waited there for him to talk. And waited. And waited. She then looked to Creed, seeing the slumbering colt. He seemed so at peace, and it made her smile softly. She did need to get down there before he woke, but they had the whole night to do that. She then returned her focus on Battle Cry. Was he going to tell her. She stood there, patiently waiting for him to talk

The seemingly collected lack of altercation bore forth to innately render speech an incomprehensible ideal pressed with such force down upon the brute that it was of much wonderment that he himself was still stationed secure in place. Long ears swiveled back with the touch of genteel natures, for it was him that was keeping the mare before him suspended in inanimate wait. Guilty as chosen, mind ticked to find the introductions to the realizations of bothersome natures, for if any deserved to gain insight to minimal enlightenment, Raven was at the top of the list. Shyness forgotten, the draft pulled himself to the far-reaches of his own dwarfing built, gazing steadily at the fea.
|
'I was born upon the Isola Dei Guerrieri, or Island of the Warriors, a secluded and mountainous isle somewhere south of this place. It was a time, as it has always been, of many wars, and my herd was no exception. From an early age, I was taught to fight, held in higher regard because of my...exceptional build. However, I never understood why we must fight to gain something we already had. There was plenty a mare for the lead, an abundance of grasses as well as land. When the time came, I refused to partake, and...only sought to defend myself.'
Battle Cry paused for a moment, moving the honey orbs to the high reaches of the heavens once more, as if to offer himself solace from his thoughts, though he knew he had to continue to voice the story aloud. 'After my brethren had been slain and the fighting ceased, my...dam approached me. She told me it was my fault that so many had been killed, that I...could have stopped it. My training had been wasted in her eyes. So...she sought revenge upon the only other person who could hurt me. She killed, the mare whom I loved, and I was banished from my homeland. That is what...I have been thinking about.' The stallion's oculars strayed to the colt sleeping peacefully, clouding slightly for a brief collection of breath. 'I am thankful that Creed and yourself to not have to go through such a thing.'
The slightly flush that collected across his features vanished as the stag stood stark-still, completely motionless in the moonlight pooling upon his golden pelting. Lids locked themselves away, basking in the breeze as Battle Cry cleansed himself of all the memories, though the simplest act of speaking did not rid all the unwanted emotions. Yes, the stag was more than thankful for many a thing he had found upon this isle, especially Raven and her son. Without them, he would have already moved on, and on, without a purpose, though he knew that one day he would leave them again, when they no longer needed the protection he offered. Raven watched the stallion in silence. His life sounded rough and harsh, like Creed. She felt sad for him. How could one deal with the pain of that kind of betrayal? Or with that life? Though she knew it was only the past, she only felt slightly worse about this. Her life before was luxury compared to either of the horses in her life. She didn’t want to say she’s sorry, knowing it wasn’t going to help. She looked down. “I wish I could understand that better, though. My life was easy. I live with good humans in a region they called Canada. I never had to suffer anything.” She spoke, her words saddened. She knew she was always a little happy mare, but this was enough to make anyone of a good decent heart feel bad for the other. “I’m not saying that I’m not grateful my life been of ease for me, just… I think if I had a better understanding of that kind of life, I could be a better help. To anyone.” She was still looking away from him.
She did wish for that better understand of a hard life, though she really did not want to go through that kind of heartbreak and abuse. She wanted to walk away, and try to find that understanding. But she remained still, were she stood. She really wish she could do something to make him feel better.

The lack of harboring wondering that collected to pool upon them was something far short of miraculous. For in the mind of the brute himself, there was little more than the bitter hate for the words uttered so carelessly, for now with the injuries inflicted toward those whom he cared for dealt, there was no way to heal the receiving end with just the handful of words that was floating in mind. Actions, which were held in such high regard were meaningless if wrongly addressed or assigned, but this was not the time for such in depth thoughts, and Battle Cry knew in himself. Instead, upon the fevered act of compassion alone, he took a step toward the mare again, though it would seem as if the space they had occupied previously were rare spread. Embarrassed, though unknowing of much length of social contact, his muzzle tapped upon her shoulder for a moment in a gesture of assurance, one only recently recalled to the pooling of thought.
The audios next uttered were sincere, though a shade darker as well as a tone lighter than the normal uttered. 'I do not wish, nor would Creed I am sure, want you to waste the time of your happiness when you are working as hard as you can to better the lives of ours.' The silence created threatened to swallow him as a step backward was then taken, as if to remove himself from her side to allow for the collection of breath for the both of them, a long glance cast to the form of the foal asleep. No doubt he was dreaming of the times shared with Raven, for the stag would think them to be the greatest. Raven, indeed, would not wish to relive any moment in either Creed's nor his lifetime, at least the ones where she was not present, for they would be darkly colored.
Exhaling slightly, the draft silently thanked the stars for this moment once more, though he was thoroughly convinced the only grace the stars gave him was the moment the stag had caught sight of the pair upon the beaches. There was no doubt that he should cherish each moment, and that lead to the unconscious vocals released from the timidness of thoughtful expression. 'These moments have been the happiest of my life.' |

Raven froze in place when she saw him step closer to her. She herself grow with a blush as he got closer to her. Then she felt him place his muzzle against her shoulder. It was brief, but enough to make her flush. It seemed to pulsate through her a hew times before it left her. Her eyes swept across from their down position to the stallion. They looked surprised. Usually he kept his distance from her, like he was giving her room or space. But he seemed reluctant, slightly, to leave her side like he was a child not wanting his mother to leave him in a care of a nanny or babysitter for the first time. It made her feel like butterflies were fluttering around in her, tickling her sides. She pulled her neck up a little and turn her head to look at him. If she could explain this in her words, it would be like a girl who just got done with that first date that was completely wonderful and unforgettable. But that was something that usually only a tame horse or a horse that were around humans around the majority of their life would understand, so she tried to hide that. She hoped he didn't see her blush beneath the shallow pelting of her face. "I know you two wouldn't want me too, but I feel happy when I am able to help one at a level I understand. It's the one thing that helps me feel better, knowing I could make one feel happy. And that's why Creed makes me smile so much. He seems to enjoy life, even through all he's been through since I've found him. And you..." She stopped, remembering each time she saw him look at peace with life, like nothing was wrong.
He always did seem the happiest when with Creed. There was that look in his eyes when she caught him gazing at her for a while. And even now, even with the talk of the past, he seemed to enjoy their company. She felt see blush hard now. Did he really enjoy her company? Did he really gaze at her like he was in love with her? The blush grew hotter. She didn't continue one as she thought about the times they were around each other. That one time, when they play with Creed together, Creed seemed just so excited and pleased, and Battle Cry seemed cheery. And for her? She could say that it was actually, truly one of her happiest moments in her life, even with her high life with humans. She stood there, her eyes darting off his face as she felt the butterflies flutter faster and the blush grow hot enough she swore she should be sweating, though she wasn't.

The surrounding atmosphere was unsuprisingly thick with the pretense of all collected hoards of emotional distress, as well as a clear coating of unrelaxed contemplation rising beneath as if to be hidden cleverly in shroud. In response, the brute chose to watch Raven, listening to her delicate audios, even when they trailed off, petaled ears alert as well as intuned to the dimness of harboring lights. There was a warmth, a flowing sensation that was never so brief, that connected himself to her when they were graced with company, something that stirred to bring arcane peace. Heat flushed across her features, and Battle Cry could not help but notice how lovely the color settled upon her, bowing his head slightly as if to disguise some sort of the smile that was softest to give. Many ways to say what he wished, though all fell upon the fragmented pieces of timing. There was something the stallion knew that he must do, however, a conveyance that simply wished to leave his lips, for it was under his own assumption that Raven needed to her without the disguise of faltering words brought on by romantic atmosphere.
The honey-laden oculars sparked slightly, allowing the warm features of a smile to collect over him, for it was a strength needed for himself to prevail and conquer the unease building within the channels of mind. 'You know I care much about you....and Creed. I would never wish to leave your sides.' The tune he used was smooth, though quite, for the truth shall only be spoken in the hinting of whispers. Lowering the crest of the thickly muscled neck, the draft once more laid his velveteen muzzle upon the slope of her shoulder for the beat of a heartily diverse minute. Removing it, the gaze once toned to her shifted to the sleeping form of foal with all the motions of fondness he felt, the wondering that arose from within his own being when he looked upon the little paint.
There had always been so many questions since the day he had left the beaches of his homeland, ones that always hovered, just out of reach, above the stallion's head. There was something now, it drew himself deeper, for he knew he would be able to leave no longer, for now this place, Isola Dei Dei, was his home. Isle of the Gods, he had surely found something here that meant more to him than the gods. The night air lent him at least the falsehood of secluded reaching, for the optics always seemed to return in thanks for the bravery that sometimes was so thinly spread amongst his actions, though he knew quite well that the brute would do all it took to protect them both from all manners of things. One day, however, he hoped to be able to protect himself. |

Raven felt his eyes on her, and it made her blush worse with her thoughts. But she should not be really... blushy, should she. She did love him, though in her own secret way. Her eyes stayed on the stallion as he picked up where she left off. Before he come to her, she began stumbling for words. "You don't have. I mean..... if you don't want.... If you ever did,...... I would understand....." She felt like an over excited Creed trying to talk, her words probably not at all understandable. She felt like a fool. When did she ever fall and trip over her own words? She was usually well spoken, even for one coming from a place so far away from here, where many did not know how to even speak a proper word. Before she could stumble over more words, she felt the soft muzzle of the stallion fall against her shoulders again, she shut her mouth, the audios not falling out now. She blushed hard once more, but the old blush had worn off slightly, so this one did seem to bother her that much. She turned her head to him when she saw him look back to Creed, then she did as well. The night was surprisingly still young, the foal already deep into the dream stages of sleep. She sighed. She might need to go down there, just in case the foal did wake up from something and didn't see her around. "I might want to go down there. Just in case. I don't want him to think I left him there alone." She spoke, herself reluctantly stepping a away. She stopped and turned back to him. "And you do know that you don't need to chose a spot so far from us, if you don't want to, to rest." She spoke, these word coming out smoother off her tongue than the last. She lingered for a moment, then stepped away once more, read to go to her son.
