The Herds lived in peace for a while until the Fire Lord Ontsteek died and his son Feuer. got the Power. These series of events will be told how they happened. Each Lord was taken out by there own element, and this left the herds powerless, leaderless and alone. This is when the new alliances started to form.
On a stormy day a scrawny red roan ran to his Lady to bring her the news. “M’lady, the Fire Lord is injured and he might not make it. Your son is with him now so he can get the Power from Lord Onsteek.” The Black mare looked at the messenger with fear in her orange optics. “Take me to him Fogo” she said demandingly to the red roan. “This way M’lady.” He said as he broke into a canter, his short tail flying wildly behind him. Lady Brandwond reared up and galloped after the roan messenger, her long orange and black tail flowing behind her. The messenger led her all the way to the other side of the Fire Herd’s land. “He’s just up there M’lady.” He said with a bow to her. He then turned and cantered back to the herd.
Lady Brandwond walked up to a ash gray and red form lying on the ground, crimson spilling out of deep gashes on his body. She then looked to the red and black stag next to her mate. She took her orange optics of her son and back to her love. She nudged him with her black velvet muzzle. He groaned in pain. She looked to her son and asked him “What happened to him?” The red and black stag looked at her and said “Father was out here alone and a pack of wolves attacked him. For some odd reason he did not call the Fire to help him.” The young stag nudged his father again. Both mother and son knew he was going to die very soon. The ash and red bodice moved a bit towards the young stag. “Son.” He rasped out. “Come here.” The Lord laid his head back to the earth. The young stag walked to his father’s face and said “What?” The old Fire Lord looked at him sadly. “Son, I will be dead in a few hours. I want you to know that the land. Horses, and the safety of the Fire Herd is now in your hands. Your mother is still to be the Fire Lady until you find some one that you love to take the place. Even when that happens if your mother is still around, she gets to be second in command.” He paused to wince in great pain. “Feuer you are the new Fire Lord.” He then looked to Brandwond and motioned her over. “Brandwond. Brandy, know that I love you and always will. Keep our son in line while you are still the Fire Lady.” She nodded her black head and tears started to come out of her orange optics as the ash gray and red marked bodice went limp, as the last exhale left him for ever. Brandwond looked over to her son and said “Go tell the herd that their Lord had passed on and you, Feuer are now the new Fire Lord of this great herd.” Feuer looked to his mother and galloped off.

The years went by with Feuer as the new Fire Lord and Brandwond as the Lady. Soon that would be changed. Lady Brandwond was out a bit past the Fire Herd boundaries to look for wandering horses to bring into the herd. While she was out she sensed that something was coming. She knew she was going to get attacked. She had no Power to help her. She only had her own strength and will power. Her orange orbs searched the scenery for the attackers. She stepped back a bit when a pack of wolves came out of the bushes. They started to attack her and she did nothing. She did not have the will to live any longer.
A big black wolf walked up to her face and said “Whassa matta horsie? Not gunna figh’ back are ye?” He smiled a toothy grin. “Git ‘er boys.”
The wolves attacked and finally killed Lady Brandwond. One of the herd members found out and told the new Fire Lord. He knew it would happen soon enough. He had convinced himself that the sworn enemies of the Fire Herd, the Water Herd, had sent the wolves to kill his mother. How he wanted to get them back for what they had done to his mother.

In the Time Herd’s land the Wisdom Lord and the Time Lord were talking. The Time Lord paused for a minute and then said, “A great disaster is on the way. Several of the Elemental Herd’s Lords will be killed with out an heir. The time is coming.” The Wisdom Lord nodded and said “Ah, yes. There is a prophecy about Fire destroying all other Elements. You are correct my friend, the time has started.” They both looked off way past the mountain to the Volcanic lands where the Fire Herd Resided. They knew it had begun.

Feuer paced and paced trying to figure out what to do. It had been seven years since he had gotten the Power and the title of Fire Lord. His plan was to attack the Water Herd with his power over fire. He would call on the volcano to erupt since half the volcano was in the Water Herds land. He smiled at his plan and ran off to tell his trusted friends. His black and red tail streamed behind him as he went and got the same scrawny red roan messenger that had informed his mother about his father’s death. “You!” he hissed out to the roan. “I am telling you my plan, you have to tell my warriors about it.” Feuer then told the scrawny roan his plan. “Now go tell Norman the lead warrior. If the eruption does not take out the Water Herd’s leader we will attack. Now get out of here and go tell them.” He said the last part in a very threatening tone. The scrawny little stag looked a bit scared and said “Yes Sir!” He wheeled around and galloped off. His small tail and his very short mane looked like they had been caught on fire and then put out.

The Fire Lord went to get the lead warrior Norman to come with him. He found the bay grazing by a river in the land. “Norman!” The bay looked to the black and red stag. “Oh why hello Feuer. Are you ready to carry out your plan?” The Fire Lord looked at him and said, “Yes, I am. Now come with me Norman, for you are to help me.” The bay nodded and followed his Lord to the base of the volcano.
Feuer made his way to the top of the volcano and called on the fire to destroy the Water Herd. The lava began to flow. He smiled to Norman and said, “My plan is working.” Just as he came down, the volcano made a very odd noise. Feuer looked to it and then to Norman. “RUN! AND GO WARN THE HERD! THE VOLCANO IS ERUPTING ON OUR SIDE.” Norman turned on a dime and ran. Feuer stayed and tried to get it to go back the way he had initially wanted it to flow. He soon realized that it was flowing to both sides, his and to the Water Herd’s side. He looked around and knew that his herd needed to move to a safer land, that is where he sent Norman, to go lead the herd to safety while he would try and hold the flow off. It was not working. He tried harder. It was no hope. He had never really practiced his power and just thought he could do it perfectly. He had to keep his herd safe from his mistake. He turned and galloped back to his herd. When he got there Norman was getting the herd members out of the path that the lava would flow. They had to be moved to another part of the land.
As he came up to where the horses were he saw Norman and a few other warriors telling the others where to go for safety. Feuer could not risk loosing his herd. He turned his ebony and crimson dial to look for the flow of the lava. Even though the magma was slow, it advanced pretty quickly among the herd’s terra. He had to save his herd. His daggers pounded the earth as he ran to his brood. Half of them were out. It then hit him that there was not an heir to the throne of the Fire Lord. He had no lead mare. Yes, the herd members all had small power over fire, but they needed a leader. To give the heir the full power, Feuer would have to be present with the heir to give it to them , otherwise the heir would only inherit half the power. He quickly decided that he would cover some of the best stock mares in the herd, so that part of him would live on. He chose five lucky mares and covered them quickly. He then sprinted off to go save the herd.
The element was too strong for Feuer’s power. His own element then destroyed him. The news was passed and the herd scattered, going their own ways. Little did any of them know, this one disaster would cause the downfall of all the Elementals.
