After many years of absence on the island, the Elementals are finally making appearance once again. Hushed rumors of their return were once infrequent, but now it is quite clear that they have returned. And the first to arrive were the Fire Herd, their breed now called the Züden. And soon, the rest of the herds began to cluster together, having not wanting the Züden to have all of the power on the island.
Small pockets of the old herds' populations were scattered across the island, keeping the herds alive. Occasionally the elementals would breed with the Cavallos, which eventually resulted in different patterns of their powers and markings. They lost the ability to mark there herd members, but that is also particular due to the lack of an full-blooded Lord. Especially with the Fire Herd, there were five offspring from Feuer. There was no way to tell who the real heir was, but the five siblings bred with the remaining fire horses, resulting in most of them receiving powers. Same thing went along with the other herds until everyone been granted powers of their element.
The arrival of new, dull-looking horses from the ocean angered the elementals. They did not like non-native horses on the island, and these equines soon drowned out most of the Cavallo breed they were used to. And so they formed together to help preserve their breeds. But only the Fire Herd was absolutely set to destroy these "inferiorities".
