[atrb=border,1,true][atrb=width,394,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#808177]It was as if Marut dragged himself up the path to the plateau where his herd stayed, his ears drawn back against his skull. He hadn't had much sleep the past few days, all because he was worried about his mate and the future of his herd. He had heard from the wind that Bolin and Anemone had had a healthy colt, which was great for the Era herd. But, was it bad because Hannibal was back, and assembling forces within Felwood? Thinking about the hell-hound caused Marut to look across the small meadow, noticing the black filly that stood beside the water's edge, fire lapping at her hooves and out of her nostrils and eyes. This one was made of the same hell-fire her sire was, and Marut was half tempted to end the young foal's life. But, he wasn't that evil. No, he wouldn't kill another horse just because of who their father was.
Ears tilted back once again, and he flared his nostrils, as Aeon looked up from the grass where she nibbled the tops slowly. He could see Hannibal in every movement, every fiber of Aeon's body, nothing of Tuula visible. Even by the filly's speech and the way she acted toward others gave him a reason to worry that Aeon was much more like Hannibal than anyone else on this island. A hoof stomped the ground, and he heard Aeon snort, her firey eyes narrowed at him. |
Look away if you don't like me, you little witch, the stallion muttered bitterly under his breath, however, Tuula's daughter didn't tear her eyes away from the Era stallion. Instead, a small plume of fire escaped her nostrils this time, which swirled around a few times because of the wind the young filly channeled toward it.
Great, Marut thought, finally tearing his eyes away, and walking toward the cliff's edge. The little bastard child has Era powers, as well as powers of her father. His thoughts swarmed with evil things, his blue eyes staring off across the Island, straying for a moment or two on the land he knew that was Felwood. Ears twitched, as he could feel Aeon's emotionless eyes upon his back. I know you don't like me, Marut. But you shouldn't judge people on who their parent's are. Maybe you should ... get to know me ... Aeon's voice danced across the wind, a warm breeze, much too warm to be normal, played with Marut's mane. A loud snort escaped the Lead, as his step-daughter let a small smirk cross her maw. She had no intention of playing nice with her step father. In fact, as soon as she could, she would leave this god forsaken land, and find her father, so that she could plot with him to kill these goody goodies.
Ears twitched on top of Marut's head, quite uneasily, and he glanced over his shoulder. But, Aeon wasn't there any longer. She had moved from the pond's edge, to the tree, lowering herself down to sleep, which was odd, because the hell-minion never really slept. Marut shrugged, looking out across the Island once again, wondering where Tuula and Aeon's twin sister were.[/blockquote] ! holy cow. what a long post. A scorching hot breeze blew past Marut’s flank – while the cause had been rooted from one of the demonic twins, it was not the brood of Era powers. Rather, the young painted filly had rushed past her step-father’s side in a mad bolt, and perhaps it was not so accidental that her fiery tail had slapped against the stallion in the dash.
Davi slowed as she neared her ebony counterpart and only one of her lineage (that she had met) whom she could tolerate being around. Her icy orbs seemed to have a certain knowledge in them, and her lips quivered with the hint of a message on her venomous tongue. But, whatever communiqué was there went unspoken as the thunder of larger hooves came roaring their way.
The equine who oft looked so maternal and kind did not seem herself as she came barreling up the hill. Stopping once she reached Marut’s side, there were no kind words on her lips. And, it seemed there was a hatred in her two-toned gaze as she looked upon her newest spawn. The mare’s breaths seemed labored and her body worn, most likely from the endless task of attempting to care for the demonic twins. Each was a handful in their own way, and each was at least twice as evil as even Orpheus. There could never be doubt as to who had sired such creatures.
Eventually, the mare’s attention turned upon her mate. There was pain in her gaze every time she looked to Marut since her return. Things, it seemed, could never be the same in the Era’s turf and between them. Her head gently went to rest upon his neck. “How has Bolin’s young one been?” The poor mare had kept herself away from the youngest born to the Era herd – her own grandchild. It was the safest thing she could do with Davi and Aeon around.
Another figure came upon the group with delicate steps. Haize was quiet in her approach, timidity being something she was well known for. She stayed in the background, watching everything with an uneasiness – her sisters made her very nervous, which was a reasonable response from anyone that saw the fiery beings.
“Chaos is on the horizon,” Davi finally mused as her wild eyes stared towards her family.

[atrb=border,1,true][atrb=width,394,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#808177]A devious smirk crossed Aeon's maw, and she flicked her ears back slightly. She had felt her mother appear before she actually had, and the young hell child made her fiery eyes follow after the form of Tuula. Her teeth clenched together, and she pushed herself from the ground. Fire crackled lively upon her hooves as she moved, and she looked to her twin, that sick smirk once again upon her maw. Head shook slightly, and she turned her head to nip at her hindquarter where a fly had landed. As the fly took off, the filly snorted, fire shooting out and getting the fly before it strayed too far from her body. |
Stupid thing, the foal turned to look at her mother and her step father.
Marut felt his mate beside him, and he sighed gently. They hadn't exactly been close since the twins were born, and the stallion knew it was putting a strain on everything. He's been growing. I'm surprised how good of parents Bolin and Anemone are. Fusion is growing excellently. His words drifted off, and he looked toward her. A small smile crept upon his muzzle, and he nudged Tuula's cheek. He said nothing else, as Haize came into view, and he nickered faintly at her. He had missed his daughter, and maybe now they could be a family, after they got rid of Davi and Aeon first, of course.
That sick smirk still sat upon the hell child's maw, as she listened to her twin's words. Let it come, dear sister. We shall welcome it with open hearts.[/blockquote] ! short post, once again. MUSE, WHERE ARE YOU?! Davi idly watched as her sister executed a rather bothersome insect. There was no anxiety upon her face at the sight of the winged felon being turned to ash, much unlike Haize’s reaction. The young mare shuffled in place as her half-sisters stood there with such sinister gazes. There was absolutely nothing right about those two hellish beasts. Haize would be glad to see the day they left Avvolgere La Terra, and yet, there was a fright in the thought of their departure. If they were gone from the sanctity of these lands and the control of mother and father, oh what terror would they wreak – an uncontrolled onslaught of the whole island? A whinny of sheer terror slipped from the mare’s kissers at the very thought.
Tuula’s ears and head shot up simultaneously as she heard her daughter’s cry. The aged mare glanced first to Davi and Aeon, as if making certain they hadn’t caught the land ablaze. Then, weary gaze went to her eldest daughter. Haize, having only now realized her vocal blunder from amidst a horrid daydream, gave her mother a sheepish smile as if to apologize for the alarm. The speckled matriarch gave an understanding smile –another smile perched opposing lips. Young Davi stared intently at her step-sister, devilish smirk intact. She knew that she and Aeon frightened the pathetic filly, and she quite enjoyed that knowledge.
The painted devil flicked an aud as Aeon spoke, although her eyes never strayed from what was now a death glare at poor Haize. “My sentiments exactly,” came a suppressed hiss as her fiery tails slapped harshly upon her flank.
Tuula’s attention was back upon Marut at this point. “Despite the time he spent with his father, it does not surprise me so much that Bolin would be a great parent. He always exceeded my expectations growing up.” Longing gaze looked to the horizon as the mare thought of the times when her sons were just foals. So much time had passed…
A chill wind crossed the plateau, causing both Tuula and Haize to shift with discomfort. Although the seasons were growing colder, it felt like such a cross gale was not that of the natural season. Tuula began to fret that the worst blow had not yet come to the Era herd. The very thought caused an uneasy gaze to rest back upon her devilish spawn.

[atrb=border,1,true][atrb=width,394,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true] | [bg=#808177]The filly just couldn't help it. A snort, sounding so much like a chuckle, escaped Aeon, as she saw how upset Haize was. Good. Aeon liked to promote fear within her older sibling. Ears tilted forward, noticing Marut and Tuula talking, and she let out a small amount of fire through her nostrils. |
Davi. Lets leave this place... it's getting too dull, and I'm sure our real father would like to see us again. Maybe he has exciting plans for us. At the thought of leaving the Era lands, the filly's fiery eyes crackled a bit. Would Tuula really allow the twins to leave and go live with Hannibal? By the looks on the two older horses faces, it sure did look that way.
Marut listened to Tuula's word, and the stallion nodded slightly. Eyes went over to the twins, then back to his mate, his ears flicked back ever so slightly. Tuula. Do you think we should send Davi and Aeon to live with Hannibal? Obviously we all have our qualms about the two... they aren't exactly.. normal. His voice was low, because he didn't want the two to hear what he was talking about. Ears flicked, as he noticed how uncomfortable the Era mare looked, as an unusual breeze danced around them. A warmer breeze then danced around Marut, then Tuula, moving toward Haize and playing with her mane and tail.
At the other side of the clearing stood Bolin, his eyes staring at Aeon and Davi intently. He had known that Tuula had given birth some time ago, but he had never seen them. Because they were spawns of Hannibal, he felt the need to protect his son from them. However, with all these other Era up here, perhaps now was the time to have Fusion mingle with the others. Beside the bay and white paint was a colt with almost the same coloration as Orpheus, only he had some of the markings that his father and mother had. Ears flicked atop Fusion's head, and he looked up to his father, wondering why they were here. Go ahead and go see your grandmother, Fusion. I'll be right behind you, Bolin spoke softly, nudging his son's hindquarters in an attempt to move him. Fusion's ears instantly went to his skull, and he nipped his father's nose slightly. Bolin snorted, and Fusion rolled his eyes, moving toward Tuula and Marut. Hi Gramma and Grampa, Fusion spoke softly, moving to Tuula's side and nudging her shoulder gently. Bolin stood a little farther off, nodding toward Marut and his mother. Marut smiled and returned the nod. Bolin then turned to face his younger sister, Hey Haize. Tuula was watching her demonic twins chatter amongst themselves as Marut made his proposition. Ah, how much easier her life would be without those two here. Yet, that thought made the old matriarch cringe slightly. She had always loved Orpheus even when she realized how evil he was, but there was no capacity in her heart to love those two. The very thought made her feel quite guilty.
“I am not sure, Marut,” she whispered gently. “I wish to see them gone as much as everyone here,” there was that feeling of guilt again, “but I worry that would be a mistake. The two are evil enough on their own… can you imagine what sinister plots Hannibal would put in their minds?”
As if she knew they were speaking of Aeon and her, Davi went silent. Her gaze cast quite violently on her mother and Marut. It did not take long for a quiet malicious smirk to arch her kissers though. The painted filly stomped her hoof into the dying autumn grass and tossed her head, fiery mane crackling as the angered wind twirled around them. “What a divine idea, sister,” she cooed out once the wind had calmed.
The elder mare snorted at her daughters little display but was soon distracted by her dear son, Bolin and his child. Whinnying lightly, the grandmother welcomed young Fusion to her with an enthusiastic nuzzle. There was a new light in the mare’s eyes in the presence of the pure, young Era. “Fusion,” she murmured with a smile, “little one, it is so good to finally meet you.”
Haize was equally as startled by the lingering warm breeze that trailed around her family as she had been by the eerily cool one. However, the sight of Bolin quickly calmed the young mare’s nerves. It was good to see her brother – well, that particular brother. Bolin was the only of her siblings that did not frighten poor Haize so severely. Truly, he may have been one of the only few horses in existence that did not frighten the timid girl! As such, a light whuffle parted from the mare’s lips as she saw the stallion approach.
Gaze cast upon her demonic sisters as her brother spoke, fear regained within those light orbs. “I could be a lot better,” was all the mare could grumble. As she averted sight to her nephew, the mare was overcome with a slight serenity. He looked a lot like Orpheus which might make the young mare nervous had that not also reminded her of her childhood companion, Yamanu. Haize sighed faintly at the thought of her old friend. The wind did not say much of the young stallion these days which worried her immensely.
