this is the anthem, of your existance |Wet and bloody, the sore body of Marut climbed the steep hill to the plateau that the Era called home. Seeing the lush grasses welcomed him, and he breathed in deeply. Home. Flicking his ears forward, his blue eyes looked around. Was Tuula here? Nickering faintly, Marut limped over to the pond's edge, pausing slightly. Flicking his ears, he half-expected to see Hannibal's body in the waters. Blinking a few times, the Era waded into the water, and lowered himself down to wash himself of the blood that trickled through the hairs. Breathing out deeply, Marut closed his eyes, glad to be here. The sound of hooves near the water's edge drew his attention away from his thoughts. Turning his head, Marut's heart skipped a beat at the sight of the Hannibal-look-alike. Realizing that it wasn't Hannibal, but Bolin, Marut nickered faintly.
"The winds have told me of your victory, Marut. I must thank you for freeing my mother, and the rest of Isola, from Hannibal." Bolin's voice was low, as his golden eyes studied Marut's injuries. Marut stood up, watching the Lead Era, his head lowered slightly. "It is the least I could do, sir. You and your mother did not need to live in fear of such a horse." Bolin raised his head slightly, a small smile splashing across his muzzle. Turning to face the meadow where his herd resided, Bolin sent out a whinny, calling together the horses that lived there. "Bolin... has your mother arrived?" Marut asked the painted yearling, and Bolin's ears flicked slightly. "She has not reached this place yet. But she shall, Marut. Give her time." Marut nodded at the other stallion's words, and lowered his head, nibbling on the grasses. Bolin waited for the herd, his eyes watching as the wind played with the trees. Tuula °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° The bulky mare came over the steep path that led to the top of the Era’s homelands. Her homelands. She could smell Marut’s scent fresh on the winds, and her towers fell slightly. Tuula knew she was supposed to have made it here long before him. However, she could not leave Inferno when he had asked her to. Despite his promise to flee if things went south, the speckled ivory just could not leave Marut there alone. Instead, she had trekked to the outskirts of Inferno’s forestry, where the dense greenery met with the charred domains. She had planned to wait and meet Marut there. However, fate had other things in mind for the mare.
Tuula had recognized a voice on the winds of Inferno speaking to Orpheus. She realized who it was almost immediately; Cheza, the mare who had initially challenged Bolin on top of the Era’s plateau. What was she doing here? Tuula got close enough to the two that she could ease drop but not be detected. Her blood was of pure Era royalty and her experience of a greater age, thus her powers were stronger than her yearling sons. The mare was able to shield the wind from detecting her using the same method that Marut had when he entered the lands.
For many minutes, Tuula watch on in fret for the young mare. Initially, Tuula had not been fond of Cheza for she thought the mare was challenging her son. However, instinct now pushed her to protect her fellow Era. She knew she could not do it alone. She would have to get some help, but first another distraction came to the mare as she realized that Hannibal had fallen. Leaving her watch on the two, Tuula quickly visited the body to pay her bitter respects and left before Orpheus arrived on the scene.
Now, she was safely at home, but with bad news. Panting as she ran up to Marut and Bolin the mare came to a quick halt. “Bolin… Marut… Cheza… she is in Inferno… with Orpheus. I fear she may be in danger. You know how your brother is,” the mare glanced to her son, ears against her skull.°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° i've gotta follow my heart no matter how far iNSPiRATiON; [to be loved] [by papa roach] word-count; ; [367]

this is the anthem, of your existance |As soon as Tuula had appeared, Marut's ears flicked forward, a gentle nicker escaping him as he moved toward her. However, hearing that another one of the Era were back in Inferno caused his body to stop in it's place, and his ears drew back against his skull. Eyes went to Bolin, who breathed in deeply, as if the mare who had been caught in the Dark lands was more important than just a regular herd member. "Mother, we can't.. we can't just go in and try and save her. Orpheus must have a plan already. And, with Hannibal dead.. Orpheus will be gathering the remnants of Inferno together." Bolin's tone had gone flat, and Marut shook his head slightly, looking back to Tuula.
"Tuula. Rest. A lot of things have happened today. Saving Cheza will have to wait," the white stallion placed his head onto the mare's shoulder, nuzzling her lovingly. He was so glad that she was here, safe away from any danger for right now. Breathing in her scent, it calmed his rampaging nerves. Blood still trickled down his coat, the hair tainted pink. Bolin watched the two, shifting uneasily. His mind was on Cheza, wondering if she was going to be alright. horse role played | marut / bolin basic text color | gray speech color | teal song | the anthem artist | zany and dv8 template | lizzeh 2009 [/blockquote]

Tuula °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Tuula’s crown hung low as Bolin spoke. She did not like the idea of leaving one of their kind alone with Orpheus, and seeing the way it was affecting Bolin made the ivory feel even worse. As Marut spoke, the mare’s worries were temporarily lifted, that is until he said something about Cheza– then she felt her stomach flip. Fortunately, Marut came to the rescue once more, his touch preoccupying her mind. The speckled ivory gently returned the nuzzle and her eyes shut tightly. When they opened she was shocked to become aware of the bleeding wounds on Marut’s body. How had she not noticed them before? A worrisome nicker left her maw as she reached out to groom the oozing gash on his shoulder.
When the Era mare noted her son’s discomfort, Tuula pulled her crown up with a weak look in her eyes. There was a longing in her gaze to end her son’s pain, but it became painfully aware that there was nothing they could do. Orpheus had shown that he was capable of sinister ploys, and she could only hope he did not really have anything up his sleeve. With a sigh, the mare’s gaze retreated back upon Marut. “Perhaps, I do need some rest,” she murmured lightly, moving to lay her heavy bodice at the edge of the waters.°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° ’cause we belong together now, yeah forever united here somehow, yeah iNSPiRATiON; [my life would suck without you] [by kelly clarkson] word-count; ; [224]

and i'm calling, calling out to you |Flicking his ears slightly, Bolin moved away from the two older horses, off into the meadow so they could have their privacy. He lowered his head, sighing, and closed his eyes. However, it wasn't sleep that threatened his weakened mind. It was memories; of the times spent with Hannibal, with the family back in Inferno. If Orpheus' behaviour when they were younger was hinting at what was to happen in the future, then Bolin didn't really stand a chance of getting Cheza back. His heart ached, and he opened his eyes, glancing back at his mother and Marut. Clenching his jaw, he moved further away from them, standing under one of the large trees, his head still lowered.
Marut smiled at Tuula, nudging her shoulder slightly as she moved by him to lay by the water's edge. Moving after her, the off-white stallion stood by her side as she lay down, lowering his head to rest his maw on her shoulder gently. "Tuula, don't worry about my injuries. They will heal." His voice was soft, as he became sleepy. Breathing in deeply, he flared his nostrils, and then closed his eyes. Marut fell asleep almost instantly, his muzzle still upon his mate's shoulder. Bolin looked over the two, keeping a respective distance, but making sure nothing would wake them. horse role played | marut / bolin basic text color | gray speech color | teal and sea green song | hear me now artist | framing hanley template | lizzeh 2009 [/blockquote]

A wind message blew in from Inferno Su Terra.
"Hello. It is Cheza. I am in Inferno Su Terra, with Orpheus. I do not plan on returning anytime soon, or even ever at all. I am sorry to do this, but I wish to be detected from Avvolgere La Terra. Thank you."
Then, as suddenly as it came in, it blew away, on the wings of the wind.
