Newark walked along the narrow path way. The stale scent of horses mixed in with the scent of the white, soft snow that was underfoot. The tall Westphalian stallion did not make him self known to the horses that lay ahead of him soon. They would find him out soon enough. Newark stopped to bite at a small blade of grass that had managed to poke through. But it was cold, and frozen, yet he ate it anyway. Suddenly, the narrow pathway that he had been walking on opened up and revealed a great frozen meadow.

Cheer up and dry your damp eyes, and tell me when it rains. A distant crunching of snow caught the mare's attenchion as she foraged in the meadow, the sound disturbing the near-silence. Lynx pricked her ears as she gazed at the trees, her expression hard for she expected Aro to come in and check in on her. But is surprised her when a dark bay appeared from the trees, obviously a newcomer by his scent. She doubted Aro let this stallion in, but she tried not to involve herself as much as possible. She huffed, shaking her mane as she continued to watch this strange horse warily.

Aro The large kiger mustang was going around and checking on the members when he noticed Lynx. About to go greet her, a unknown equine's scent reached his nostrils. He walked up by Lynx, ears pricked, trying to locate the equine. And Aro found him. It was a dark bay... It was a stallion. The palomino snorted, stomping a silver daggar. 'what do you want? why are you here..?' Amber eyes glared. It was the middle of winter, and almost all of his herd was mares and they were all pregnant. Except for a few. 'this land is claimed, by me. aro.' Some stallions tried to overtake a herd during winter, one of the worst times of year. Yet the stag didn't look like he would. Newark flicked his dark emerald gaze to the large Kiger stallion that stood now near him. "I am Newark, and I am new to this white land. I mean no harm to you or your herd, but only should another bring harm to me, then I shall bring harm to them. But for now, there is peace." The dark bay bowed to Aro respectfully. He thought no use for manners, but in this cold season, a herd was most definately needed.

Cheer up and dry your damp eyes, and tell me when it rains. Lynx peeled her eyes from the new horse to Aro as the stud came beside her. Her ears pinned against the crest of her skull and glared but said nothing, not wanting to risk getting bitten or struck. After a minute she turned to look at Newark curiously as he spoke, one ear going forward in interest. It wasn't everyday a stallion joined another's herd. She didn't look at Aro as she waited for his answer, but instead lowered her muzzle and snuffed into the snow, looking for grass to help nurture the growing foal in her barrel.

Newark quickly cast his gaze to the mare who was now foraging for grass. He then returned his attention to the large Kiger in front of him, who commanded his attention. Although Newark was probably much taller than the Kiger, the dark bay stallion wouldn't try to over take this herd. Besides, Newark concidered a herd to be too much responsibility. He didn't really want a mare for himself. "So Kiger," He began " May I stay in this.." Newark looked around at the snowy landscape around him " Land of yours?"
