The mare followed her lead – another snort at that thought—to her new home. The dense forestry of the lands was a bit surprising. It fit the mood of the herd though, dark and dangerous. Kadence was careful as she ventured through the terra in suit of Aro. At first, she was somewhat unnerved by the lands, but it only took a moment for her to feel comforted by the sweet scent of the lush shrubbery and foliage. The roan had to shake her head clear of the enticing scents, forcing her onyx orbs to focus back on her lead. “How long have ye owned these lands?” She felt herself suddenly querying. His scent was prevalent, but so was another… the diminishing scent of the lands old leader still remained in places.

Aro The overo kiger was shortly in front of the fae, but decided not to venture further into his domain. He turned around to hear her vocals shortly in front of him. how long have ye had these lands? 'i have to admit love, only a couple weeks. the old leader died of bears, but tis mine,' he paused for a moment. 'how do you like it love?'

When her steed paused, the mare did too. She had not realized how close she was to the hessian. Her nostrils flared, his scent filling them with a density far surpassing any past time. The mare stepped back, velvety kissers quivering as she could almost taste the Kiger.
The roan's tail quickly swatted her rump as if to wake her own self up from the preoccupied daze in her eyes. "Aye, the former's scent still be strong." Though not quite as intoxicating... no, she dare not say that aloud. Once more she was pulled from her preoccupation, this time by her lead's vocals. How did she like it? "It's not bad..." she taunted, not giving him any real enthusiasm to judge. The dainty brood stepped forward once more, passing her lead and once more allowing the side of her bodice to gently press against his own. Stopping while her rump was at side with his barrel the mare turned her tiara back. "But, what my leige," that word seemed stiff as she spoke it, "is there to do for fun around here?" The mare did love adventure, afterall.

The kiger paused for a moment. Then he smiled. This was good. A vixen who knows how to play.
'well love, most foals go to the pond to chase frogs or what-not. the adults go for a run or go to the sea at spiagga del nord, or torture something. would you like to go for a run, eh? or what do want, love?' Aro stomped his daggar to rid the flies, waiting her response.[/blockquote]

The mare let a sly grin cross her maw. “Well, as jovial as chasin’ the frogs does sound, I do believe a run would suffice,” she cooed, obviously sarcastic about the joys of running after some amphibians. Kadence then pawed the Earth before starting to circle the steed, her bodice swaying in between the trees. She got close enough to nudge his neck as if she was pushing him to move, and then she began to trot off. The mare was not exactly sure where she was heading, but she did not seem to care either. The breeze of running felt good as she whirred between trees and jumped over fallen trees and shrubs. She wanted badly to look back, to see that he was following but thought better of it due to the compactness of the forestry.

The overo set off at a slow trot after she had nudged him. With a burst of energy, he went into a canter, passing her. 'gotta go a tad faster love!' Aro called behind his shoulder, amber marbles staring after her for a second before turning back in front of him. The washout was coming up ahead, he could tell. The washout was the back up of the lake in the middle of the terra. If it flooded, the equines wouldn't be flooded. It was pretty much just a large dried up creek bed. The cool breeze whipping his ivory tassles around, Aro cleared the washout in a single spurt of energy. He looked back once to see what she was doing, piddling around?[/blockquote]

The mare’s towers rose as the steed passed her by, a whoosh of air blasting back at her. This only aroused a chuckle from the roan. But, his words, his challenge as she took it, aroused a whole new emotion. Kadence was not the fastest, though she was agile enough, but she would not give up on the race this early into the game. This mare still had a little uncovered speed in her.
That in consideration, she lunged forward, her head evening its height with her body. She would take her speed up a notch, rousing her to be just a hair behind the hessian. The creek that needed to be jumped was an obstacle in her favor.
With her eyes narrowed, she lunged over the dried bed, her slender bodice carrying her just a tad farther than Aro’s more muscled bodice would go. Now, she was maybe an inch ahead of him. The mare kept that pace, curious as to how much faster the stag could go. She could go a bit faster herself, but that was it.

The kiger pushed his body to the max, engines on full throttle. A thin layer of sweat covered the mustang as he inched him self in front of the roan. Alot of experience in the running. Humans trying to capture him, he was good at distracting the humans into chasing him instead of his herd. Ivory flag out behind him, silver daggars a blur as he sped across the lake side. Kadence was impressed with the Mustang’s speed, but, then again, it could be expected from his breed. She began to lag behind before implementing her last burst of speed – it still was not enough to put her in the lead, but she was keeping up with him fairly well. A few minute into this pace, the mare slowed behind the Kiger and turned off on an alternate path. However, Kadence was sure to let out a gentle nicker to be sure her lead knew she had turned trail. The noise of water had caught her attention. She slowed to a skidding halt before turning back to see if Aro was coming. However, impatience for her thirst forced the mare to turn back towards the lake and began drinking.

The kiger slid to a hault, quickly turning tail and following her. Setting off at a canter, stopping at her side to get a drink also. 'nice run, love,' he nudged her shoulder playfully.. [/blockquote]

The roan pulled her crown up from the lake, licking her lips to cease the liquid from dripping off her kissers. A smile crossed her maw as he nudged her shoulder. Despite having only known Aro for a few days, she was really starting to feel comfortable around the stallion. In fact, she felt downright giddy. The mare did a half-rear, landing with a thud. She nudged his chest back in return before jumping back in a mock-fight formation. It appeared like the mare was challenging her lead to just that, a mock-fight. With a whinny, she pawed at the ground, flared her nostrils, and then gave him a taunting wink. She was not normally this playful, but she had not been this happy in a while. And, as already mentioned, she loved an adventure and a challenge.
