Let me set your sky on fire The chocolate-brown outline of an equine could faintly be seen from the distance, it was visible for a few seconds, but then it was as if it'd disappeared altogether. The sight was almost like seeing an ocean in the desert--completely a mirage, and yet it looked so real that you couldn't help but wonder if it was. However, in this case, it was most certainly not just visual trickery. The outline belonged to a stallion, whose build was somewhat similar to that of a quarter horse or a mustang. However, he was indeed one of the Konjou, and the whistle of the wind did not fail to share the bits and pieces of that valuable information to anyone who was attentive enough to take note.
Deep, emerald-green eyes gazed forward at the dim horizon of the land, his stride swift yet holding a calm demeanor. What was he doing here? It was practically a wide open wasteland, with the scent of death and burned trees lingering about. If he didn't know any better, he could have mistaken this for the Zunden land--however, he very well knew the coordinates of that said terra, and he avoided it like a cat did to water. He hardly had a clue exactly why he'd come here, though. He'd always been the travelling type, he'd figured he'd just cut some time and pass through this land on his way elsewhere. In which way, was very stereotypical of his breed--he hardly stayed anywhere for longer than a few weeks, before he was off again. He'd been known to appear right out of the blue, only to fade again in the depth of night, just as spontaneously as he came.
His overal facade was anything but threatening. His tail, head, and ears were all held at a relaxed state, simply moving with each step. He had quite a heavy gait, however it wasn't labored. The stallion's lean muscles rippled gently with every stride as he ventured forth into a land he'd otherwise hardly heard of. He'd heard of the lead--but then again, who hadn't heard of the dark stag and his father? However, the said rumors and gossip of the two hardly managed to get fear across Leo's constant firey disposition.

yamanu - orpheus some days i get crazed i don't know why it's so irrelevant i'll take deep breaths and keep control, go on. Orpheus had been casually grazing with his now weaned son at his flanks. Yamanu looked up at the wind’s words of an intruding stallion far before Orpheus. The larger painted hellion was not too concerned about the stranger on his turf until he herd of his elemental heritage. The thought of an elemental coming upon his turf without permission caused rage to seethe through the young stallion’s veins. He was not really sure why it angered him so much – perhaps, deep down, he thought the intruder could be here to threaten his reign.
The stallion gave a warning to his son not to follow, which made the young Yamanu rather uneasy. It was not for his father’s safety that he fret though, rather the other stallion. See, the younger paint was lighter at heart than his father and knew that his father’s rage was a force to be reckoned with even if one was a full-blooded elemental. The colt shook his crown to preoccupy his thoughts before lowering his crown back to graze and muse to himself about matters of philosophical importance to him – specifically the battle of evil.
By now, Orpheus was not far from the one that the wind had beckoned Leo. He tred with caution as he neared the Konjou – giving a loud and forceful whinny when he was in sight. Orpheus’s own gait was rather heavy due to a large frame. He cocked his crown to the side, ears laying back slightly. “What are you doing upon my lands?” He queried as he met him upon the turf where foliage was scant. “Seems a bit peculiar a place for a creature of your blood, eh, Leo?” The stallion was sure to use his counterpart’s name, perhaps trying to hint at the fact that he was well-knowledged in the stallion’s past. (Although, he truly only knew his heritage and name.)

The stag's ears pricked alertedly as the sounds of another stallion's hoofbeats crossed him, swirling about his audits with the sound of the wind that'd betrayed any of his attempts at stealthily making his way through the land. Not a few moments more had passed before the approaching figure of the other equine could be seen closing in from the horizon. Leo slowed his gait to a trot, his eyes running their sharp gaze to the other horse. Nostrils flared subtly, taking in the approaching scent and recognizing that it belonged to one who was half Era, and it didn't take any more processing by his mind to come to the conclusion that this was the lead--Orpheus, the stag which most of the lights trembled to, only second to his father. He gave a flick of his tail, tassels falling amongst his ankles as he finally slowed his gait down enough to come to a stop, standing just mere feet from the other bastard. "I was simply passing through, rather aimlessly, if I must say." he spoke, making eye contact almost as if to prove that he wasn't here to be stealthy or pull a sneaky move while his head was turned. That is, other than exploring and slipping through like a shortcut. "A bit peculiar? for my blood? says the Era. If anyone should feel like a fish out of water in this situation, I do believe it's you, Orpheus." he joked, a bit of a challenging tone ringing in his voice, though all of it was just for sport. He hardly doubted the stag's potential, but he couldn't help but infer that his blood held no power in deciding which side the stallion's nature leaned towards.

Orpheus watched the stallion carefully, not letting up much despite the others attempts at assuring him he meant no harm. And, when he spoke those words - questioning and slightly challenging - it would have been hard to guess how Orpheus would react. The stallion was like a ticking bomb, mostly quiet although threatening just by nature, and yet, any moment, such threat could become a quick reality to the dismay of whoever was in his path. The violent and more well-known reaction did not ensue Leo's words. Rather, a light chuckled escaped from the young brute's throat as he eyed the intruder. "Well taken, but I am only half-blooded," he paused to flare his nostrils and perk his ears, "you are of full Konjou blood. And, dear spirit horse," he began, eying his surroundings,"I fret to inform you this dismal place will not ever lift your spirits again. However, you are welcome to stay if you'd like." And, with that, the countering stallion had Orpheus's welcome to join the ever-growing herd of Inferno. Orpheus turned his back to the stag and took a few steps back towards where he had left his son before halting and turning his head back and saying, "all that I require is your undying loyalty and perhaps your soul." There was humored smirk upon the hellion's face, yet it would ultimately be quite difficult to tell if Orpheus was joking or serious about the matter. With no other words spoken, he continued his trek back towards Yamanu.
