» Lynx breathed in the familiar and comforting scent of Liberta. Home. She danced foward through the forest, nares quivering. Her irises looked over everything, as if she'd never see it again, but she was going to make sure she'd be able to stay. Her pelt was sleek and clean now; she had stopped to take a quick bath, to the annoyance of Masquerade. Hmm, Masquerade. She had almost forgotten about the stallion. She spared him a glance, auds flicking, to make sure he was still there. He was. She nodded at the slightest, before turning, and cantering forward in a gracefull gate, arching her fine arab neck proudly. "Lassan!
" she whinnied, tossing up her tiara as she burst through the trees. [/blockquote] ooc: wheeee. its quick but ehh. song: anthem of the angels - breaking benjamin muse: its okay character: Lynx

Aro Crazy much? | "Bitch! Now who's she runnin' off with?" Aro nuzzled Blazer softly after the colt told him about Lynx, and took off at a trot, not really caring about the mare leaving again...
"Hello, Lynx." That eery smile crept up on the bastard's pale lips. "Leaving again so soon?" He chuckled softly to himself, forelock covering amber eyes. Aro turned to Masquerade, nodding to other stallion. "You can have her now. I have my son, and that is all that matters to me." Aro smirked, turning to Blazer, who had followed him here. "Come on Blazer, you'll see your mother sometime later. If she's happy leaving you, let her go. And she is a bitch, and I hate that you had to put up with her for this short time." Softly, pale muzzle reached to nuzzle the young colt's cheek, and lipped at his forelock before retracting. When he turned to leave, he snickered. "See you in hell, Lynx.", eery grin appeared on his maw again.[/blockquote] Take a look around And find someone else to blame { Needless to say } That you've got problems | Venom was grazing just a few feet away, her belly again just slightly bigger than normal due to the just conceived foal about a month ago. Then she heard another equine, a mare, from what Venom could tell, squeal out Lassan's name in joy. Ears flicked curiously, wondering who was calling her mate's name. So she picked up ebony legs, picking up a trot to see who was in Liberta.
It was a chestnut Arabian mare, and Venom knew her as Lynx. She had gotten herself stolen by the dark leader, Aro and came back a couple weeks ago, but was taken back. Now she was here again? Venom wondered silently how she got away from Aro, but then she caught his words to her as she approached the four equines, and she could hear Lassan coming.
Venom listened to Aro's words, and cocked her tiara. She would've said something to him about this situation, but she didn't want didn't want to harm the offspring that was now growing inside of her. And Zeake, Zeake was with Polaris. Venom had made Polaris watch him for the day, and she was glad that she had asked him , since this commotion was going on.
Venom looked to Lynx and acknowlaged her with a nod of her head, and looked to the unknown stallion behind her. Her ears drew forward with curiosity, mixed with a bit of fear. "Lynx, who is he?" Bright pink orbs peered at the black stallion, her ivory tassles slapping at her ivory striped hocks...[/blockquote] Vodka's Venom Muse;; :3 MUSE ic;; Random songs Notes;; ---- Lyrics;; So Happy by Theory of a Deadman Character;; Aro and Venom

The ebony stallion had led Lynx quickly to Liberta. Masquerade was very good at picking his way around the island. He had only wandered the bloody place for most of his life. Plus, he was in somewhat of an alliance with Liberta. He only thought it right to bring back one of their mares, not to mention saving the said mare from a depressing fate with Aro.
Masquerade rolled his orbs a bit at Lynx as she happily called out the leader's, Lassan's, calling. Of course she would run to him first, telling him that she had returned. No doubt the Arab leader had already gotten the message from one of his ebony friends in the sky. Those damned birds never shut up, unless of course they were somewhere where there were not any alliances with Liberta or Rocas. Then they were silent observers who brought the feeling of lonliness and death to all around them. Who knew one small creature could cause a horse to feel so much.
His orbs made their way over to a small brindled vixen as she appeared, clearly somewhat pleased to see the chestnut mare back in the lands. The mare's hot pink optics then zeroed in on him. Masquerade quickly glanced sideways as if she may be looking at someone or soemthing next to him. Nope, she was looking at him, asking who he was.
A small, yet sinister grin appeared on the hellion's face. She did not know him? Huh. Most of the island knew of him. Oh well. The smile quickly faded as he said "I was just returnin' 'er t'your 'erd." His orbs were blunt as well as his vocals. He was leaving anyway, once Lassan came to see that she was safe again.
Lassan The Arab had been contently grazing near the river when one of his raven friends flew over to him and landed on his back. "Lynx is back Las'an." it said with a bob of it's head in the direction of where the mare had entered. "But tha' mas'ed devil 'orse is wi'h 'er so you'd bet'er watch out." it told him with a warning tone before it flew off to join a few other ravens at the carcass of a dead rat.
Lassan quickly broke into a canter at this news. Lynx was back! Finally! But why was Masquerade with her? Lassan knew all to well about the ivory faced hellion who roamed the island. He had ruined many things in Lassan's life without even meeting him before. Yes, Lassan knew that Masquerade was still with Fiana's herd in Rocas, but he did not, and would never, trust him in any way, shape, or form. Plus his son Jigsaw had gotten Lassan's daughter Kibitala pregnant too young. He had everything against this stallion.
~~
The ebony stallion slowed when he saw Lynx, Venom, and Masquerade up ahead. First thing he did was smile at Venom and nod his crown in greeting. Then he jogged over to Lynx, nuzzling her a bit, welcoming her back home. He finally had his friend back. Hopefully this time she would remain in the land. Lassan hoped that one of the ravens would go and tell Taren that his mother was home again.
The stag's chocolate optics narrowed at Masquerade. He quickly marched over to the stallion and said, well more yelled, "What the hell d'you think you're doin' here?! You have some nerve to come waltzin' into this land, with Lynx none the less, like you own it!" Lassan quickly turned around and paced a few steps before swirling around and telling Masquerade very sternly, and somewhat dark, "Leave. Now."

Starts with pain, followed by hate...
» Blazer followed after his father, hoping he'd come and bring his mother back. When they entered Liberta, however, he found that his father did not want his mom back. The exact opposite, really. He frowned, glancing up at the kiger, but did not argue. Father knew best. And his words made sense. His mother left without a thought. Why should he care? Lynx gaped at Aro, preparing to fight him off, but it turned out he didn't care. She narrowed her eyes, but couldn't really hide the hurt that played across her facade. The arab turned to Blazer as Aro began to leave, barely noticing that Venom had arrived. "Blazer... you know that I still love you. I always will!
" she said desperately as her colt walked away. He paused, and turned to give her a icy look. " Sure you do," he said, before disapearing into the undergrowth. Lynx stared after him, tears threatening to spill, but she sucked it up, and bellowed back, " Fine! I don't need you anyway!" » The chestnut looked up as Masquerade arrived and anwered Venom's question that apparently Lynx had missed. She blinked free the blurry tears from her eyes, studying Venom. The mare was round on her barrel. She blinked, ears flicking. She breifly pondered who the father was of the foal. She was answered, however, when Lassan arrived and gave her a sweet smile. She figured that they would end up together. She smiled weakly at Lassan, briefly returning his nuzzle halfheartedly. Her mood was completely ruined by the brief visit of Aro and Blazer. Why did they have to show up? She shifted her gaze to Masquerade, hoping Lassan would let him be, but of course he went after him. Lynx snorted, ears pinning on her crest. " Leave him alone, Lassan," she snarled, stepping between him and Masquerade. Sure, the Liberta stallion had the right to be totally pissed off at him, but she wasn't going to allow it. " He does at least have the right to walk me back. After all, if he hadn't come along, I'd still be with Aro." [/blockquote] ooc: YAY post song: world so cold - 12 stones / pretty girl (the way) - sugarcult muse: its okay character: Lynx & Blazer

Masquerade should have figured that Lassan was not just going to welcome him to Liberta with open arms. Even Masquerade had to admit that he had caused this herd quite a bit of hardship, anger, and pain. Now that he was tied to the Rocas herd, he was sure that Lassan would never see him as an friend of some sort. That was just fine with the stallion. He probably deserved it too.
Now the ebony leader of Liberta was yelling at him. Yup, he deserved it. At least Masquerade knew that Lassan was not violent and it would remain a yelling match unless he were to attack the Arab first, which was not going to happen. Masquerade really did not have a reason to attack the stallion. So instead of letting the words get to him, like he normally would, he just ignored them and began to pay attention to a couple of finches playing in a nearby puddle.
His attention to Lassan was only returned when the stag's vocals took on a dark and demanding tone. Masquerade co.cked his crown a bit. This was not like Lassan. Had the years made him a little more ... dark dare he say? Lynx then interrupted Lassan, telling him to leave Masquerade alone. Why was she doing this? Sure he got her out of Aro's land, but not for her, it was for him. He wanted to make Aro angry by taking away 'his' possessions.
Wihtout a word, Masquerade slowly turned and began to walk out of Liberta. He did not even glance back at Lassa, Lynx, or the other mare who was with them. Personally he did not care. He was not going to stay somewhere where he was not wanted. Plus it would just lead to making everyone angry. Once everyone was angry Masquerade was likely to be furious and try to attack Lassan. Plus if he did, he knew he would be outnumbered in the land. It would have been one against a whole herd. The odds were not his favour.
Lassan Lassan's expression became confused once Lunx started to defend the masked stallion. Why was she doing this? She knew of what he had done to this herd. Of course he had gotten her away from Aro and anything he may do to her. For that, Lassan was ever grateful to the large brute, not that he was ever going to admit it.
Lassan had been planning on coming to retrieve Lynx as well, but he was going to wait alittle longer because of her foal, Blazer, who was still in the land. The colt probably needed a motherly figure more than he needed that wretched father of his. Aro was one equine who made Lassan more angry than Masquerade did. Mostly because of his co.cky attitude and his head was so far up his arse he probably never would see the light of day. Masquerade was just plain evil. Lassan was not sure if he still was or not, nor did he really care to find out.
"Lynx, do you know who this is? What he has done to a countless number of horses?" the ebony stag asked the chestnut very seriously. Maybe it was that she really did not know who he was, and what she may be getting herself, and all the others in the herd, into. The Arab's chocolate optics remained searching for an answer on Lynx's face.
Just then Lassan realised that Masquerade was walking away. Maybe the stallion had changed. He just brought Lynx back as some form of trying to right the wrongs he had done to Liberta. Lassan was actually very pleased with that and now he felt a bit guilty thay he had driven Masquerade away.

» Lynx narrowed her eyes slightly, continuing to glare at Lassan. " Of course I do,
" she snapped, " who wouldn't? But you don't treat your ally like this! " The arab glanced behind her, and watched as Masquerade retreated back away from the group and into the forest. She glowered after him, scowling slightly. She looked back at the black stallion, who looked quite guilty. Good, she thought dryly, examining his expression with slight satisfaction. The arabian mare then turned aruptly and trotted after Masquerade without another word. " Where the hell you think you're going?" she called as she spotted him. Masquerade continued to stalk away, not even looking back. Now where to go was the question. After a moment of careful thinking he decided that he was going to go to the dark lands. He had'nt been there for quite some time. It would be interesting to see what had changed and what had stayed the same. He also wanted to see if horses there were really as dark as they used to be, because he had been hearing that they were pretty pathetic lately.
It took several minutes to realise that someone was closing in on him. The stag flung around, his eyes filled with fury. He was not in the mood for surprises. "What?!" he barked at the horse, who turned out to be Lynx. "Oh." was all he said. "You." He glanced around before taking a step to her. "Didn't I take you back to Las'an to stay there?" he asked. Without waiting for an answer he turned back in the direction he was going and continued on, hoping the chestnut would not follow him any longer. The dark lands were no safe place for her.
Lassan Yes Lassan knew that this stallion was on an ally herd, but that did not mean that Masquerade was a personal ally of Lassan's. The Arab would not trust that horse as far as he could throw him, which obviously, would never happen. "I know Lynx." he dropping his head a bit. "I just... you don't... I... understand." was all he managed to get out before Lynx stalked off after Masquerade. Lassan's expression turned from frustrated to hurt all the way to confusion and fear. Lassan did not want to loose her again.
His fear and confusion then quickly turned to anger. If she wanted to go then fine, he would let her. He knew that once he calmed down he would go after her and apologise. It was only the right thing to do, but for now, he needed to run it off. With that he turned around and broke into a gallop.
