× Navita Breed Information; Please reply to this thread when creating your Navitas. <3
Navita is the latin word for 'energy'. The theory is that every living and non-living thing that ever existed has carried some sort of energy. Every atom and particle has a certain electrical charge--a certain electricity and force to it. The Navitas are a specific--though rare--horse breed that can alter and play with these energies. They're are an otherwise unknown elemental breed of Isola Dei Dei. They were hardly recognized by the others, due to the fact that they tended to look and act like normal horses--and even if they didn't, they were hardly heard of due to their dwindling numbers. However, despite their rarity--they were a friend to all, due to the fact regardless of the element, all the different powers did have some connection to life's energy. The Reapers could take it away, the Zunden could create it, the Arrats used the moon's energy, and so on with the other breeds. They have no official enemies. They have formed an alliance with Aiden's herd (the Zunden) – therefore, they now share enemies. They had certain tricks up their sleeve that were almost as if you'd taken the others and thrown them into a blender.
The herd territory is the Terra Di Energia.
Average Height Mares - 14hh - 15.5hh Stags - 15hh – 17hh None over, none under. They're a lean, slim breed--though muscular. Their build is much like an Arabian's.
Personality The personalities of the Navitas range along the neutral side. They tend to lean towards the dark, but they're also much like the lights in certain aspects. They're welcoming to all breeds by nature, unless taught and raised to do otherwise. They love mischief, and are the jokers and jests of the elemental worlds, always pulling tricks and always up to no good, though they usually don't mean any harm. They're full of energy--in fact, even adults hardly ever lose the playful antics of a yearling, and why should they? Their energetic bloodlines hardly let them get old and groggy.
Powers The powers of the Navitas are gifted to them the second they're born, however, it takes time for them to actually manifest themselves in their conscious mind. Even a horse that is half Navita and half of another breed, it will inherit all the powers of the Navita, alongside whatever other characteristics or powers the other breed might have. They can all, whether activated or not, always fill themselves with energy. You can tell if a Navita has been activated or not because when they do activate, their markings appear and start to glow, and so do their hooves.- Activation of their powers may be self-induced, which means that they were playing around one day, or reached such an energetic and lively state that their powers all activated. This makes for lots of confusion, and it can be dangerous if they go about using them like a lunatic. - Activation may also be done by a foal's parents. The mother or father of the foal must be activated first, but if they are, they can gently nudge their offspring into activation by giving them a 'nudge'. In the said nudge, they'd be transfering enough energy to cause the powers to activate. This is the best way to do so, since that way they can also teach and mentor the foal so that they won't lose control. - Activation may also be done by the Lord or Lady of the herd. If a horse has not self-activated, or been activated by their parents, the lord/lady may attempt to activate a horse if they think they're a Navita.
•Summoning of energy
|
[/b] Every horse, whether activated or not, can do this subconsciously without thinking. The said power is almost like blinking, you don't need to think about it to do so. It's like they have caffeine in their blood. If a horse is getting tired, but they don't want to sleep, or they want to be more awake--the tired feeling will almost disappear altogether. Another example: A normal horse can only run for so long without starting to feel tired and either slowing, or coming to a stop. A Navita can run at full sprint forever as long as there's some sort of energy in the world. They don't have to sleep, though it is refreshing to their powers. A Navita foal is a total nightmare to a normal horse mom. •Immortality[/b] As with the prior power, the equine has this power whether its activated or not. Navitas are immortal (at least to aging). If you decapitate or burn one to a crisp, it will die. However, the meaning of immortality in this power simply means that they stop aging once they turn four years old. •Lightning | Energy Strike[/b] This power can only be acheived if the horse has been activated. This power allows the horse to summon the energy to create a bolt of energy, which they may aim at anything they wish. The bolt will not harm other Navitas, but it will electrocute the daylights out of any other breed of horse. The severity of the bolt depends on how much experience the horse has, or how angry it's grown. If it's a foal that's relatively new to it all, the bolt may only be as powerful as the static shock you get from walking on wool and poking somebody. The bolts of most horses are only strong enough to immobilize/stun a horse for a few seconds, perhaps as long as few minutes, and cause a few nasty electrical burns - to the old or weak of heart, it may cause some cardiac problems. However, the force behind the lord & lady's bolts can certainly be strong enough to kill, depending on their intentions - and their strikes can harm other Navitas. Half-breeds of any kind do not possess this power (if they're offspring, at least).•Telikenisis[/b] This power can only be acheived if the horse has been activated. This power allows the horse to use the surrounding energy to move something. They can't move mountains or large trees, but they can move anything up to a horse. However, the bigger the thing, the less distance they can move it. IE: They may be able to fling a pebble a pretty good distance with lots of force, but they may only be able to lift a horse a few inches off the ground, and only move them a few feet to the side--with no force to the throw. •Draining[/b] This power can only be acheived if the horse has been activated. This power allows the horse to drain the energy of any horse it looks at or focuses on. When draining, the Navita draws the energy of the horse right out of it, whether for itself or to simply release it into the environment. The drained horse is left feeling groggy and exhausted, depending on how much energy is removed – it is a useful skill for battle. •Healing[/b] This power can only be acheived if the horse has been activated. A horse cannot heal itself. Though a horse may summon the energy to be able to run away after receiving a severe injury, the injury will still inflict the same amount of pain and damage. However, another equine that possesses this power may come along and transfer enough energy to the area so that the tissues will heal and reconstruct back to normal status. However, this will take a lot from the other horse--though only temporarily. •Playing with energy[/b] This power can only be acheived if the horse has been activated. This is usually the first power seen when a horse has been activated. Much like the Arrats, they can create small swirls and shapes of energy that give off a glow much like the Northern Lights. However, the said auroras can be seen even in the daylight due to their bright, neon glow. Nine times out of ten, they're completely harmless, unless the horse is using them for battle purposes. In which case, should it come into contact with a horse that isn't a Navita, the effects are similar to getting struck with a small bolt of energy. They're far less dangerous than a lightning/energy strike, in fact, the effects are comparable to licking a 9 volt battery. Shocking, but hardly dangerous. •Making other horses Navitas[/b] This power is reserved strictly for the Lord/Lady of the herd. Though they cannot physically make another horse be of the same bloodlines and suddenly sprout the markings and characteristics, they can grant the powers to another horse. Sometimes, it may be temporary, and other times it may be permanent. It takes a lot of energy to do so, and can be dangerous--specially due to the fact that the process to do so involves smiting the other horse with a specific type of energy--which may kill. However, should the horse survive, they may be tired for a few minutes, but their health will quickly be restored. The said horse will look and (partially) act like it did prior to the change, but it will now posess all the powers (excluding this one). They will feel reckless, wild, and out of control - they won't walk where they can gallop. Turning someone is rarely done, if ever. If the turned horse should choose to mate, the offspring will not posess the powers/bloodlines, unless the other partner is a full-blooded Navita.[/blockquote] Colors[/b] Coat Colors: All natural horse colors. Bay, dun, buckskin, paint, chestnut, and so on. No unnatural colors ever take up most of the coat unless in the form of markings. Mane & Tail Colors: All natural colors. They may have streaks of color, however, there is a maximum of two colors. Marking Colors: There are a maximum of 3 colors for the markings. Eye Colors: All & any colors. Be as bright as you want, or as natural as you want. Eyes are the window to the soul. Hoof Colors: All natural colors. Marking Characteristics: All activated Navita horses have some sort of lightning, swirl, or arcane symbol marking on them. None of these markings appear until the horse has been activated, in which case, they will glow for a few seconds. Once they appear, the horse has been activated. Depending on the horse's shock and confusion, they may disappear--but the horse will still be activated. The markings may look like tribal, intertwining patterns--but it is very rare. Most markings are subtle, such as a small orange coronet or a lime green lightning streak. That being said, the lady will be my mare, Dance with the Devil. <3 Though, she's more of a wanderer, therefore the herd doesn't have a specific territory. They're wanderers who may bid their alliance to whoever they please - though by blood, their loyalty is still, over all, to the Navita herd.
