Ember's Ashes And in this world of loneliness, I see your face
The tri-colored mare let her hooves brush the grass, her ears drooping. What had she done? Everyone hated her-Even Aiden. Yes, Aiden. She bit her lower lip, hiding her true feelings. She didn't really love the stag, meerily thought of him as an aquantince. But now, not even that. Even Millintica had given her a harsh glare. What was it about Fire's Romance she didn't seem to see? She stomped the ground with an angry hoof.
"Fuck, it!"
She said angrily. She rarely let a curse word fly from her lips, but she was thoroughly irratated. What had happened to her herd? Well, Aiden's herd. But, when she was a foal, her mother had told her stories of the Fire Herd. They where beautiful, evil, sarcastic, flame-ridden equines of wonder. But they changed. They seemed more good hearted then she imagined as a filly. Maybe her mom had lied to make the breed sound better.
And now, a majority of the herd dispied her. All of them. Her ears pinned, and her eyes sadly looked forward. Normally, she didn't care what others thought of her. But even Aiden, now...

Milintica And I was taken but you were waiting One more drink and I'm convinced. The bulky stag had been wandering around, burning grass here and there. When all of those mares had come it seemed to be good news. Quickly they had gotten into strategies and decided who would do what. It sounded good on paper, but in reality they were over-ambitious and going against every nerve the brute had. Joining with the the Wind herd? What bastard of a Fire horse would agree to such shit? It was utterly disgusting to hear a Zunden suggest a thing like that. Even bigger a peeve was how Aiden had considered it. Milintica snorted loudly and began to trot. It wasn't like he was scared to go to war. Hell, conquering the isle was something he'd enjoy! It irked him by how off the Zunden's were lurking in regards to their heritage. It was very un couture.
While trotting with his head down in thought, he had hardly noticed where he was headed. Only when the hessian heard a loud curse, did he peer upwards. He clearly saw that Ember was standing in the grass only a few meters away. Great, just great. The bitch would probably give him a piece of her mind; whatever her mind might be, that is.

Ember's Ashes Cast me gently, into morning, for the night has been unkind.
The femme looked up to see Milintica. Her eyes flashed with a ember of hatred, but it ceased all to quickly. Almost a glare of pity was shot at him. Why was it so hard at the end? All she wanted was some sweet release from this literate hell hole. Nothing true to the Zunden's seemed to matter anymore, to anyone. Was it so wrong? To want it to be like it used to be? Before the Elemental's fell? Was it change that irked her the most? Would she ever know?
This was such sweet madness, such glorouis sadness. She just wanted to leave. Drown in self pity. For one damn time, she wanted an excuse to stop being a Zunden and just break down. She had lost her dam at a young age, her sire was abusive, taught Ember to be herself. And now, suddenly, everything she ever thought right was wrong. It was like the world had turned on her.
What is it that you are wanting? God, are you just here to put me down some more? She rose her head and stomped a angered hoof.

Milintica I'd rather die standing, Than live on my knee's
The stag looked at her with a mirror expression. Oh yeah, he thought She's going to give me a hard time. He trode up and snorted loudly, agitated. He couldn't escape this madness. He had gone for a walk to be alone, and this was what he came up with. Ember wouldn't give a damn if he wanted to have some privacy. Then it occured to him that he shouldn't he shouldn't need any privacy. It was a good thing to have, but he was living in his herd. The Fire Herd. This clan was supposed to be air tight, like the rest of the Elemental herds were. Things weren't really going as planned, anyway, so what did it matter? Then he thought about how messed up the herd would be in the future. They'd be joining arms with all of the Elementals or, hell, maybe even crossbreeding! Just the thought made smoke seep from his nostrils.
He raised his head, hardly noticing that it had been hung low in the first place. When the essa spoke, it was as if Milintica was in a room made of thin glass and she'd just shattered the walls. He shook his pallet slightly, and his daze began to fade away. "What the fuck are you talking about?" He said with harshness. When he examined her expression, he was greatly surprised to see what expressions her face held. At first he thought she was just mad. But now looking at her face he saw a little bit of sadness, and some other feeling that he couldn't identify. He looked at her fiercly and waited for some sort of come-back.

Ember's Ashes It's not what, good girls do, not, how they should obey.
Ember snorted. What the hell was Milintica thinking she was talking about? After all, in her mind, she thought she was the only one who stayed true to the flames these days. Stomping an impatient hoof on the ash-barren crusted over ground. How she deeply hated her own herd. How her nostrils tightened in anger. She only let out a laugh. I know that you are just like all the rest. Ready to revalutionize. Not with the old ways. Even if the old ways were best. She laughed again, thinking of how stupid they where. I might as well fight the others by myself, since I have a better advantage then the rest of you lazy nags. She turned quickly and walked off slowly, waiting for Milintica's response. She hesitated, but contuined on. She needed to stay strong for the herd. Yes..for the lazy bunch of hopeless excuses for Zundens..

Milintica Leave out all the rest.
The crimson brute glared at her, then tossed his head in the air, greatly angered. Who did she think she was, putting name-tags on equine that she didn't have a clue about? When she began to walk away, he trotted past her and haulted in her way, staring straight at her. He looked at her for a few moments, then broke off into maniacal laughter. "Yeah, sure, Ember." He said sarcastically. "If I'm a Revolutionist then I must be pretty damn good at hiding it." His face was a crazy grin. He was quite sure whether he was happy, mad, or totally insane. But at least he knew that she wasn't as much of a flake like as rest. Maybe her thoughts were actually ethical. Maybe.
With a deep breath, he looked at the ground, then back up at the mare infront of him. Who would know that they thought the same all of this time, but stereotyped eachother into the Revolutionary Zunden Group? Sometimes the most obvious things just need a second glance to become extrordinary.

Ember's Ashes Leave me away, let me go, my patience has left just like the snow... Ember ignored him. Even if they did think the same way, who cared? That was just one horse that thought the same as her, and that, my freinds, is not enough to rule an empire. Not even if they tried, tried hard. Nope. She swished her ash ridden tail and rolled her eyes. She couldn't help but feel Milintica's hot breath on her muzzle, and her whole body rippled. You sure are A damn crazy stallion, Milintica. I like the way you think..but what of it? Oh, Millintica, f only the rest of the herd had minds like ours-But it should be intreasting, shall it not? She turned around, so not to face him, and sighed, walking on. She wanted to like Milintica..but her patience with other Zundens was through. She turned, and looked at Milintica. She gulped,a nd felt this sudden rush, like maybe this was a sign-Maybe she needed to stay with him. She walked up to him and nudged his neck. So you think you can call yourself a Zunden, brute? A classical, die hard Zunden? She smiled, a horrible, twisted smile. Turning to stand by his side, she let a blaze of fire through, and watched as it swept through about 20 feet before dieing out. She alowed it to blaze where at stopped, allowed it to reach high heights and tower of the Zundens. Smiling, she let it drop to nothing but cinders. I, dear, LIVE for fire. I have trained with my powers since I was around 5 months. Without fire, I am nothing. She smiled-She wasn't fast, she wasn't a very good jumper, and she didn't have the best comebacks-But when it came to fire, Ember was a master-And she knew it. She knew it well. [[Sorry for any and ALL spelling mistakes. I wanted to get this in before bed. Sorry if Ember seems like a braggart in this...]]

Milintica And when you're feeling empty, Keep me in your memory.
"Crazy, I might be, but what's stopping crazy from being a duo with smart?"
When Ember turned away, he was about to give up and do the same. If she knew that he was on her side and still denied him respect, then what could he do? At that moment of indecision, the essa changed coarse and headed towards him. When she made contact with him, there was a discreet moment when he connected. It was just a spark, and who knew, it might just have been the rare touching, but he felt like maybe they could beat the odds. Maybe the mere two of them could set a standard for the rest of the Zunden's and get the herd back in order. Or another plan along those lines. If they did that, though, Aiden would undoubtedly get mad. Right?
"Something like that." He said with a smirk. He watched as she set loose a gulf of flame. It ran like a strand of ribbon, and only died out when she said so. He admired her total control over fire. He didn't have that much containment over his powers. He could learn, though. That and the cons that came with having much of your mass sheer muscle. Looking around, he thought about what could be done. Then, he come to a conclusion.
"At the moment, I don't think Aiden would give a willy about what we say." In his mind, for the time being it crossed off talking to the Lead. That might just start some uncalled for suspicion.
Ooc: Same here. Milintica is being supremely cheesey right now.

Ember's Ashes I can't pretend I wasn't terrified to meet you, I knew you could see right through me.. Ember smiled at Milintica's words. She turned to look at him. Who ever said we where a duo? She said. But something tugged at her..something that made her want to touch him again, feel his hot breath and lead the Zundens to victory by his side...yet something else told her not to fall into a stallion's trap, not to fall for there dirty tricks. What part of her could she put her trust into? If Aiden doesn't care, then what can we do? You sure do have alot of confidence for a meer Beta. She laughed, her shoulders bouncing lightly. After all, no matter how good her powers where, that could not stop an entire isle. She wanted to walk away and give up. She had always been brave..but this was pushing it. Maybe..maybe, if we try....we could work something out. What else can we do, anyways? She was forcing herself to trust the Beta. After all, what else did she have to lose? Her life? But if she lost it with pride, would it matter? [['Tis OK, Magic.]]

Milintica If I could see the future and how this plays out, I bet it's better than where we are now
"I did." He said abruptly, wondering whether this statement had been taken too far. By now, it was obvious that stallions were stereotyped into two similar groups: The Sneaky Ones Who Trick the Mares, or the Ruthless, Savage Ones. The Beta couldn't help but agree that many studs were worthless mongrels, but it wasn't like all of them were. Was he? Why should she be scared of him anyway? They were of the same herd, and the same Element. Nothing could be more complimentry than that. With a start, he pondered what she might be thinking. Hopefully something close to his thoughts. He was going for somebody that would stand along his side and help him make the rest of the Zunden see just how wrong they were.
Milintica was going to tell her about how he wanted to give a gentle push to the Fire herd in the direction of what they used to have and needed to get back, but she had already changed his thought. Beta? Then it became clear, and he looked ahead, amused. "So I'm assuming that I missed the part of the meeting where I was dubbed Second in Command?" This could be a good thing. Maybe his higher class would give him more authority towards his opinion.

The tri colored femme lightly yawned in boredom. This was taking forever. She flicked a fly off her left ear and shook her head lightly. And how to you suppose we are supposed to tell them? Walk right up and say 'Hey, you guys are the worst Zundens in the world, and this is how it should be done ---'? She laughed lightly, and hoped Milintica already had that covered.
She looked up at the handsome stallion. He had said he didn't know he was Beta. She wanted to laugh again, but she didn't. Of course you are. And that could work very well with our -your- plan. She still wasn't intreasted in fully investing in this plan. Not yet. She loved the idea, and Milintica didn't seem like one of those cunning, ruthless stallions she had met in her life.. but still.
She didn't mind Milintica. He seemed to be more wise and set more boundries then most, and he left his foundation of thoughts with the old school Zundens, like she did. Maybe she was being overly cautious, mopey. It probably wasn't as bad as she imagined it.
