From out of the shadows, a gray form appeared, his head pulled into his chest. Dark brown eyes, so mysterious as it seemed, gazed around Belle Valle, intent on finding someone else of his kind. Another equine he could possibly talk to. How he came to be upon Isola, he did not know, but this stallion sure did look confused. Muscles rippled under his short coat, surely not ready for any sort of winter that Isola would throw at him. Ears flicked upon his head, as birds flew over head, heading toward a warmer place for the oncoming winter. Nostrils flared, as Rune side-stepped slightly, coming to a stop near an inviting patch of grass. Eyes blinked, the chilling air nipping at him, driving him to keep moving to keep warm. Flicking his gray tail behind his body, the Arabian mix headed into a batch of trees, still intent on finding some other equine in this vast empty place.
Rune paused suddenly, as the smell of something familiar, something from his childhood, passed by him. Stepping back slightly, he drew in another deep breath, the scent vanishing all too soon. Curiously heading forward, the dappled stallion weaved his way through the trees, only to stop when he saw the flash of a copper coat heading away from him. Speeding off after the mysterious creature, Rune wondered who it was, and why they seemed all too familiar with him. But, however, with his thoughts preoccupied, he had lost sight of the copper colored animal. Frustrated, the stallion seemed to stomp his way out of the trees, and lowered his maw to the ground to nip at the grasses. The image of the copper creature was still in his mind, and he began to think back to when he was with his trainer, along with his family and friends. Then, there was a blank space in his mind, possibly where he had no recollection from the time he was boarded upon a trailer, to the time he had awoken upon the sands.

Char °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° For the first time the young heiress to Terra de Rocas found herself outside of her homelands alone. It was the autumn season and her mother had granted the herd the right to leave for further grazing. Of course, this excluded unaccompanied yearlings. But, Fiana had originally accompanied the young Char; in fact, she had been with a large collection of her herd mates. That is what made it all too easy for the filly to disappear from the crowd without notice. Now, Char was not necessarily a rebellious teen, just a curious yearling, and with her mother so preoccupied with her sibling, Bullet, she assumed she could slip out and back into the group without any recognition of her absence. But, now, thirty minutes into her adventure, it appeared she was rather lost.
Char was not one to usually show any signs of emotional hindrance, but it would be a lie to say that she was not in a slight frenzy from the separation. As always, she was easily preoccupied from her thoughts when a strange aroma met her nares. It appeared that there was somebody else here. But, who? The scent was not one she could identify as a herd mate. Stepping through the trees with little caution, she soon found the culprit of such a cologne. Her head tilted to the side with interest, but for once she was speechless. All that slipped from her maw was a light nicker. She could feel warmth in her cheeks from the embarrassment of being unable to even utter a single word. Not one to be bashful, Char was slightly astonished by her current predicament. All she could do was stare towards the grazing stallion in wonderment and confusion.°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Don't cross that line if you don't want to find what it feels like. iNSPiRATiON; [Our House] [by Burn Halo] word-count; ; [289][/size]

This new scent that had wandered to his nostrils from the wind caused Rune to stir from his grazing. Lifting his head up slightly, he glanced toward the scent, and the nicker, and noticed the young mare. Ears seemed to tilt forward ever so slightly, curious as to why she was here, and he lifted his head even higher into the air. The gray stallion turned to face her, deep brown eyes staring straight at her, as if he hadn't seen another horse in forever. Which, was slightly true. Finally, the Arabian cross got the guts to speak. "May I help you," his voice was unusually comforting, the deep tones steady despite the current situation. Sure, Rune had became used to random horses appearing out of no where at home, but these were different circumstances, weren't they?
Tilting his head slightly, the stallion was becoming curious as to why such a young horse was wandering around.

Char °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° The stallion’s constant gaze did very little to usher the filly into speaking. Soon though, Rune’s kissers parted for his words, and Char was inclined to give him some sort of response. She seemed to stumble over the first few words, but her voice calmed down towards the end of her sentence. “W-well, I… I’m actually quite lost.” The mare glanced around in attempt to verify her surroundings. The scenery hinted that she was still in Belle Valle, but that was the only conclusion she could come to.
“My herd journeyed out of our homeland to find more food, and I, at some point, became separated. W-why are you here?” The mare would have been blushing if it were visible on an equine. She had not meant to be so rude in her last query. The tone she had taken was not necessarily abrasive, but who was she to ask him why he was here? This was Belle Valle – unclaimed territory.°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Don’t look up, just let them think there’s no place you’d rather be. iNSPiRATiON; [Fences] [by Paramore] word-count; ; [161] ' O°C | | ‘tis alright! A lost horse? The gray stallion flicked his ears ever so slightly, and then glanced around, then back to Char. Flaring his nostrils, he finally spoke. "Aye, I'd be lost as well, young lass. As for why I'm here, I'd have to say I can't really tell you why. I've only recently stumbled upon this here island," his eyes looked confused as he glanced around again. The smell of that familiar horse seemed to dance around him still, and it clouded his thoughts for a few moments, before his shook his head and focused upon the other horse before him. "Perhaps I could help you find your way back home? If you get into any trouble for being away from your family, then I will say it was a misunderstanding." A gentle smile crossed the older horse's muzzle, and he bowed his head slightly.
"Ah, I'd be forgetting my manners, young lass. I am Runed Forever, but please, call me Rune." He smiled, deep brown eyes glittering ever so softly as he waited to hear this lass' name.
