Let's watch this city burn, from the sky lines on top of the world, Till there's nothing left in her, Let's watch this city burn the world. Ears flicked slightly, as the painted mare named Malifex meandered around Lassan's land, her ears pinned against her skull. Ever since she had made it back from the breeding lands, she had never been the same. She had withdrawn into herself; now more concious about herself than ever. She didn't stay close to the other horses, not even Night, whom she still had strong feelings for. Shaking her head, the painted warrioress lowered her maw to the dying grasses, wuffling faintly. Maybe she should at least talk to someone, it'd make her feel a bit better. Wincing as she moved her neck, the mare breathed out slowly. There were scars now littering her neck, from where the hellish stallion had managed to grab hold. The wounds have long since healed, but she still felt the pain shoot through her neck every once in a while.
Eyes wandered around the empty terrain around her, and she felt a saddness sweep over her. Part of her wanted to go find someone from the herd to talk to. But, the other part, didn't want anything to do with other equines at the moment. Let's watch it burn... Let's watch it burn...

cause when the roof caved in and the truth came out i just didn´t know what to do
The obsidian stag had been grazing on the yellowing grass for a while, when he heard the quiet pitter-patter of feet crunching on dry leaves. Looking about he was saved the question of what it was by spotting it. A squirrel was busily gathering nuts and other staple foods to store and keep for the winter. He envied their small size and equally small consumption. If he had a stomach alike the mere squirrel's, winter would go by as a breeze. But alas, he was much larger and had to sustain himself on a different variety of fodder. Glancing over to his unappetizing array of vegetation, he let out a disgruntled sigh and began to walk off. Where he was headed, he had no particular idea. Maybe to find better sustenance, or maybe in search of a fellow equine to chat with. The second option oddly didn't appeal to him. Ever since he'd run off the rogue brute that had forced Malifex, he had not fitted his previous fervor.
Setting aside his dull thoughts on life and appetite, Night picked up a heavy trot and set towards an imprecise destination. Heavens, what is the meaning of this? Why do I feel a damper in my soul? he thought sadly. Did it have anything to do with the soon famish that Liberta would be washed over with? He was less than thrilled about that, but no, it was not the innermost region of the problem. He hadn't an idea in the slightest. Maybe he was depressed. But what about?
This was a replay of what the Beta questioned on a daily basis. The only thing he could build on was that there was something inside him, grinding on his nerves, a constant irritation. Then he stopped. Out in a clearing the Warrior, Malifex, was standing. Her cuts had healed but her pelt was now scatterted with scars. He hadn't realized just how long they'd been apart since that day in the past. Even after all of that, they'd still left eachother on their own. Wasn't it plain? How could he not see? The problem had been staring him in the face.
but when i become a star we´ll be living so large i´ll do anything for you

I remembered black skies, the lightning all around me I remembered each flash as time began to blur Like a startling sign that fate had finally found me And your voice was all I heard that I get what I deserve Clouds had suddenly appeared overhead, thunder rumbling quite loudly. Feeling eyes upon her as she grazed, Malifex's ears twitched uncomfortably. Rain slowly fell down, dripping along her coat as she brought her head up, her eyes catching sight of Night. Nostrils flared, and lightning flashed across the sky, lighting up her eyes. Malifex seemed to be rooted to the spot, as if Night were a ghost from her past. Snorting, she turned her head, glancing to the treeline behind her, then back to night. She wanted to bolt, be away from him, but something was telling her to just stay, to see what he wanted.
Throwing her head up as another round of thunder cracked through the air, the mare snorted. "What do you want," she yelled over the storm, eyes staring at the dark-hued stallion. Why was she being so mean toward him? He didn't deserve such treatment. But, deep down, she blamed him. Blamed him for the forcing back in the breeding grounds. For not being there to help her. Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies, across this new divide

Bring me your enemies Lay them before me
As soon as the words were out of her mouth, he reacted. Not with a physical action, but something inside of him. It felt as if he had some sort of hand outstretched to a doe and he was urging it to come closer. But when she spoke, his hand recoiled. The emotion in her voice was enough to penetrate the stag. What reason did she have to speak to him like that? He’d never done anything wrong. More so, he’d done some good. Or so he thought. Walking closer to the Paint horse, he looked at her up close and tried to read her mind. No signal, obviously. With a nicker that was barely audible, he spoke gently to her as if he had actually done something improper. ”What do you mean by that? Can one not speak to another free of cost?”
He took a step further and tried to look her in the eyes. They appeared blank, and somehow something inside of him drained. He felt tired and almost chose to turn around and walk away. That would have been easier but not ideal. Looking at her silently, he waited for some kind of response.

I remembered black skies, the lightning all around me I remembered each flash as time began to blur Like a startling sign that fate had finally found me And your voice was all I heard that I get what I deserve Ears tilted back, and Malifex watched Night warily as he stepped toward her. The painted mare shook her head slightly, nostrils flaring as if she were sniffling, and were about to cry. She had no right in the world to treat him as such; he hadn't done anything wrong, and yet, she was still doing it. Lowering her head slightly, like a child being scolded, she let out a faint nicker. "I'm sorry, Night," she whispered, as thunder rumbled around them once again. She looked up at him again, and her eyes held such a saddness that she hadn't ever portrayed before. Stepping forward, she finally was able to reach her nose out and touch his cheek. "I'm..so, so sorry," she said, her voice a bit louder this time, and ran her muzzle from his cheek to under his mane, closing her eyes.
Her body trembled, not because of the rain and wind, but because of how she had acted and how she had been. She was sorry for what she had said, and would've gone back just a few minutes to make sure she didn't say it. Flaring her nostrils, she rubbed the side of her face against his neck, trying to calm herself. Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies, across this new divide
