Lassan looked to the sky and sighed. It was very overcast, which was unusual for the island. Hopefully it would stay cloudy and it wouldn't rain. Lassan really didn't feel like having to stay in the rain, or in that matter, find shelter from it either.
Lassan let out an angry snort as he felt a few drops of rain fall on his ebony pelt. Rain. The raine reminded him of Raine, who had tragically passed no less than six months ago. And now Artava was dead and it was probably best to declare River dead as well, for no one on the isle had seen her. Lassan was cruched by all this. Atleast Kibitala, Illindream and Shadow were still alive and well. Little Shadow already had the responsibility of running the herd alongside her father, and would take over when he perished, or stepped down.

The phantom loved to see it rain. Her pitch black optics found an ebony bod, were her dead optics betraying her? No. This was her love. But he mated with lynx... A ghostly scream filled the air, as the black clouds secured the sun where no light shown. Suddenly, the past Raine appeared.. But there was something wrong about this mare. Her eyes her eyes!! They were those of the dead...

Lassan looked up as he felt the presence of another being close by. At first, he though he might see a deer or one of his herd members passing by. What he saw caused him to jump back a bit. There she was. Raine. She was just standing there looking at him. Lassan tilted his head a bit at her appearance. She didn'y possess the normal ghostly whiteness to her coat as usual. She looked solid enough that one could go and touch her and feel her warm, soft pelt.
Intruiged, Lassan proceeded forth to her, only to stop a metre away. Her orbs. They weren't their normal, purple and gold colour, they were cold and lifeless, a blue misty colour. Lassan snorted and bobbed his head. "Raine." he said, in greeting, not really freaked out any more that this was her ghost.

a sparkle of hope entered the stag's optics when he saw his previous whore. "Heard your having another foal." lifeless words. Black optics stared with no blink, becoming awkwardly silenced moments. Nothing else came from her dead body for a moment. "How's Kibi?" rather anxious words came from her. No, she didn't care about Flame.

lassan felt her ice cold stare bore into him. He returned her emotionless stare the best he could. Why couldn't she just move on? What made her stay here on Earth? Lassan wanted to know, but he really didn't want to ask her. "Yes." he answered her question. His reply was very laconic. Why should he talk to her nice like, when she failed to talk to him in that manner?
Lassan moved a fwe steps closer to her. His auds twitched as she asked about Kibi. His expression changed from nonchalant and static to perturbed and caring. "Not too good." he said with a sad sigh, hanging his crown a bit. "I don't know. Ever since you died, she has been distant and detatched from me and the other members, except for Night. She has a certain fondness of him, so does Shadow. I just wish she would talk to somebody around her own age, like Flame or Shadow. Even Illindream or Polaris. I know Polaris would be pleased to talk to to her."

The phantom just rolled her marbles at his stare. "Actually, I hear it was two. But I only know the dam of one, Lynx." she snarled on the name. "And the other would be?" her marbles slitting. "Actually dear, I would rather her not, as she would also. Kibi can do as she wants... You deserve it, love. You haven't been spending any time with her. You spend all your time with your other bitches."

Lassan looked at her for a moment and then said "Wait a minute. How do you 'hear' anything?! You are dead! Gone! What do you do? Just go and have a little afternoon chat with the other herd members? How do you even know anything?" His questions were rattled off at rapid fire pace, his voice raising with each one. Yes he really did miss her, but this. This was just too much. Why couldn't she just be like every other dead being and stay that way. Weren't dead things supposed to be dead? "Well after I'm done with you," he said rather distastefully. "I'm going to go and find Kibi."
