Kadence had wandered the lands of Isola Dei Dei for months, and many times she had run into dangerous situations with various creatures and equine alike. Now, she began to wonder if settling down with a herd was a good idea. It was a perplexing one. Her entire life she had longed to escape the oppression of her original herd, and now she longed to venture back into one. They were safer. And, these equine were wild. In her old home, a traveling Renaissance fair, the equines were tame. There she had to follow equine and human both. And, there was no open land to run into for escape there. Here, if she was unhappy, she could just flee and find somewhere new to live.
The strawberry-roan mare raised her head from grazing with her towers standing tall. Was anyone around?
[OoC|| I know, this post is BLAH, but I needed to get Kadence back into action. I love my little Medieval mare too much to let her disappear completely.]

Aro The palomino overo trotted through the lands boredly. Oh, wasn't this fun? The stallion was looking through the lands for other equines, to take into his herd. The old leader, Quixtant had been attacked and killed by two bears, allowing Aro to take over his land. And Tightrope and Quixtant's twins, he forced them out. The stallion wanted his own. God. How he needed to reorganize his herd. As soon as he was back, he would. And he also needed to get his bloodlines going again. remind myself to pick up some more brood bitches. How giddy he felt having his own land again, and not sharing it. How wonderful!! Aro was deep in his thoughts about his new land, when he heard the movement of something in the grass ahead of him. The stallion arose his cranium, to see a beautiful strawberry-roan. 'ello love, and what is a fine madam like you out all alone on this wonderful day?' His british tone seeming harmless and casual, he went up to her casually.

There was someone lurking these parts after all. The mare’s onyx orbs focused upon the overo steed. His gait was casual but with a nearly arrogant pep in his step. His scent was not recognized by the femora, so he could not be one of the herd Lord’s could he? She had ventured much of the island, and had not caught his scent on any of the large portions that were claimed by the major herds. Perhaps he was just a too cocky lead to one of the smaller, nomadic herds. The thought made a grin arch her lips. She was able to restrain any remark, deciding the stallion and his herd, however big or small, might be the perfect source of temporary protection she wanted. Maybe it would even be a herd she could grow into… but, Kadence did not normally think that far in advance.
Lovely British tones graced her towers. “Wandering,” she answered with her normal concision. Her legs pulled her towards the steed, dainty crown tucking down to touch her neck, “and, what’d bring ye from ye’r domains?” Her head then thrust up in a graceful display, dainty legs pulling her to glide past the palomino overo and circle him in a nearly taunting manner.

Her accent was strange. It sounded as though she was from the medieval times. 'your accent seems quite strange to this island, love. moue? i be looking for assets for my domain, love. and you seem just wonderful, if you want to join.' Deep, russet; amber marbles looked over her features. This would be a good specimen to carry on his lines. Yes, the offspring would be just delightful! His attention was turned back to the essa as she circled him tauntingly. So? Aro had no lust for the ones he didn't truly love. But, he had to say, she was beautiful.

After one revolution the mare came to a halt, landing her just a bit further from the stag than she had initially been. The mare had no lust for the overo really, but that did not mean she did not enjoy taunting him in whatever possible manner. She was a dark, and if there was any way to tease someone she would try it. Though, her fun was mostly harmless, unless you ticked her off, of course.
“Indeed, I traveled ‘ere from a nomadic medieval fair; so me dialect can be a bit mixed,” Kadence droned probably one of the longest sentences she had said to anyone on the isle. Not many asked her of her origins; and she was not usually one to gush her whole life story. And, that she had not. There was much more to her story, but why bore someone she hardly new with the details?
Towers twitched back for a moment as she thought over his proposal. That is what she wanted, was it not? She needed a herd for safety. But, what if she was not happy there? Hmph, she would escape to new domains. But, once again, she did not normally plan that far in advance. After a short moment of thought, her auds returned to their normal stance. Bobbing her tiara gently she then spoke, “yes, I shall join ye and ye’r herd.”
Once more the mare took a step forward, reclaiming the original proximity she had had from the stag. She was not certain on where his domains actually stood, so she would wait for his lead. The thought made the mare snort. It certainly was an odd thought to be under the leadership of another once more. Was this really such a good idea?

Good! He was already getting new members! Aro was delighted. But, Kadence wouldn't be among the poorly treated brood-bitches. She was too valuable. With Aro, looks say it all. And surely, the foal would be wonderful. The palomino overo was brought out of hiis thoughts by her movement in front of him. 'no trouble at all love. and as for you joining, that's wonderful. my domain is valle di morte, meaning death's black valley. i have no choice in naming, but i think it goes well with the forest.'

The mare’s crown cocked to the side as he spoke of the land he owned. It sounded so familiar. Perhaps he was more than she had given him credit for. That much at least pleased the mare. “It sounds very… nice,” her last word was dripping with sarcasm. Though, really it did not sound too bad in spite of the name – it sounded like it befit the dark horses it would spawn.
Suddenly, the mare’s hooves were dancing beneath her, though she stayed in place. It appeared Kadence was actually filled with anticipation to get to her new home… however temporary it might become. Dozens of questions hit her mind; what position would she hold? Who ruled alongside this hessian? And, would she be able to tolerate the broad? Who else was there? Would she like any of the others even? How long would she be able to tolerate herd life? And, was this herd as strictly coordinated as her old one at the Renaissance fair? Snorting, the roaned mare shook her head clear of the queries. Enjoy life for the moment; she had to remember to do that.
