The Veggenti’

What does Veggenti mean?
Seers in Italian, and that is the breed of the time horse as of now.

The Time Herd creation form & information.[/u]

Alliance:
Neutral, so neither light nor dark.

Average heights:
Mares: 14.2hh - 16.2hh
Stallions: 15.2hh - 17hh

Personality:
As the time herd is of neutral alliance they are neither light nor dark, and therefore carry traits of both. Being a usually peaceful herd they will not fight unless provoked, or if they feel they should… Or unless their darker side is showing through. Most of the time they are quiet, and serene, but sometimes can have quick tempers, and hold quite malevolent qualities. Personalities can vary from horse to horse. They will accept loners that need shelter, but only those with powers (do not necessarily have to be 100% time, maybe they just have visions etc) will be welcomed and become part of the actual herd. Just another note - they are not to be challenged; fighting a horse that knows what your next move will be before you do can be an ‘interesting’ fight, and with some of their darker abilities beings extremely powerful, they would be a hard herd to overcome.

Allies:
Wisdom - extremely close, almost like sister herds.

Enemies:
None (at the moment, although I’m guessing that fire is going to be one )

Powers:
Being able to speak to telepathically to all horses, although it is much easier with time horses or wisdom horses. Normal equines cannot reply back to them, but if they think an answer the time horses can read their minds and reply. This can be used to drive other horse’s literally crazy, or just to have a friendly yet silent chat.

Something that is related to being able to communicate telepathically is that they can produce an extremely high-pitched noise which they may transfer to horses telepathically in the area that they choose which will make them unable to move and fight back as it literally disables them momentarily, with them writhing around in pain on the ground. How much it disables the horse depends on the strength of the time horse’s powers. It’s hard to explain… like, the noise is a certain frequency that causes the other horses such immense pain that it causes them to drop to the ground and makes them unable to do anything.

Being able to read ALL equine minds, it doesn’t matter whether they are zunden, normal e.t.c. Although, depending on the mental strength of the horse’s mind you are trying to read it will be hard/easy, and sometimes if the time member isn’t mentally strong themselves it will not work. It depends on the strength of the time horse’s powers also.

Obviously one of the main ones is being able to read the future. Any time horse can tell whenever anything is going to happen - whether it is when another herd is going to attack, where aswell, when someone is going to die, what the weather is going to be like, what someone is going to say/do, someone’s actions or movements, pretty much anything. The lead (my stallion, Due Affrontato) can tell anytime, anyplace, and all other members are 48 hours, as it says in the rules Vel made up.

One of the time herd’s darker powers is that they can mind control any equine that isn’t either a time herd member or a wisdom herd member. If you manage to invade their mind you can do anything to them, from making them dance like a drunk chicken, to making them kill a friend/mate, or breed with whoever you like. It can be as harmless or malevolent as you like. As with the mind reading the amount of control you can have depends entirely on the strength of your powers and the mental strength of the other horse.

Can tell the exact time all the time.

You can also pretty much ‘mess up’ the minds of horses, although as time horses tend to be peaceful most do it only for a short period of time, as we see with Aiden and Romance. It can be done to permanently ruin their mind, but if they are mentally strong it would be very hard to do so.

Here is Vel’s description of the Time Herd, and where their land is.

The Time Herd’s land was far past Belle Valle, to the oldest part of the Island, for they loved history and time. The horses in the herd could be any colour, they just had to stick to talking to the herd and only let the leader converse with other leaders. This was for safety reasons. The Time Herd’s members could tell almost exactly when things were going to happen, such as the death of some one, a disaster, etc. The leader knew exactly when, and the members could tell within forty – eight hours of the event to come. The leader had great power over time. Some say this was the most powerful Element in the land, since the Time Herd was the last to go.[/size]

Technically they can be any colour, although I would prefer you to base it on these colours, although feel free to branch out. Must be earthy colours.

Here are the base coat colours, and mane and tail colours. I realise it doesn't say it on the picture but i'm too lazy to change it haha. Note://These palletes were made on paint, so sorry about the crapiness.

Now, for a brief description, they're very similar to those of the wisdom herd. Earthy colours in intricately patterned swirls caress their bodies, giving them an elegant look. They can be anywhere on the body. The colours circled are those that can only be used by the lead stag and lead mare, who hasn't been chosen yet. Once she has some of her markings will gradually change to these colours.

On her face there are also spiraling swirls, the lime green stands out on the black of her head (entire head is black, like covered by a hood), looking much like lungeria laceing.

Name: Due Affrontato - means "Two Faced" in italian (possibly Tate for short unless I come up with something better, or someone else does )

Breed: 100% Veggenti, royal bloodline.
Height: 17hh, he's quite lean, but pure muscle haha.
Coat Colour: #1 and #6. His muzzle is #3. His body is that of a black and white paint, his coat jet black in the dark patches, pure white in the white patches. His front two legs are black, the left black sock ended just as it hits his shoulder, his right sock ended just past his knee. His shoulder is mainly white, with black splatters like paint. His barrel is black, with a white splash over his left side, spilling over his back. His hind legs are white, the left just a sock, ending before his hock, and the other on right leg never ends and continues onto his rump. His neck is majority white on left side, majority black on right side, with the occasional small amount of the opposite colour. His face is split in two over his eyes, white on left side, black on right side, which eventually merges to create a soft grey over his maw.
Mane Colour: #1 and #6. A mixture of pure white and jet black hairs in the patches where the black and white hit it. Random gold streaks are scattered in it.
Tail Colour: #1 and #6. Black at the top which eventually fades to white. Random gold streaks are scattered in it.

From the tip of the gold of his legs bright blue sparks can be seen close up, and he has a stripe of it running from his tail to where the opposite purple markings end.

Oooh they all sound so nice
Feel free to start posting in the Veggenti lands with your openings, and when a few have entered I will post a herd meeting for the rest to join in with, if they'd like.

Just one thing, I know mares are more popular and with my lead being a stag that would make it more so (with more people wanted to be lead mare etc) but we currently have 5 mares to only 1 stag other than myself. That means unless anyone else joins with a stag then that 1 stag will carry all stag titles such as beta and knight, whereas with there being so many mares you have less chance of gaining a title. I'm not saying anyone should change their charries into stallions, as I have no problems with the amount of mares, i'm just saying it will be difficult to assign you all titles and I don't want to upset anyone.

My Pelt is Stained: Number one and four. My muzzle is number three. At the bottom of my legs it is pure black and gradually fades to the color of number four. Her Muzzle starts out as color number three and also begins to fade into color four and at the base of the neck the colors fade together.

Look me in the eyes: Number Seven.

The dye just won't wear off: My Mane

Look at all The colors: number one ,five ,eight, and thirteen.

Just Look at me: The gold and color starts at the bottom of her legs as gently swirls all the way up them and fades out just as they reach the body. There's a swirl like marking (color number eight) on her forehead that looks like it runs down her face but it fades out before it reaches her maw. There are two swirls that are interweaved and placed on her left shoulder (colors five and thirteen).
