It was spring, the snow was melting off budding flowers, foals where growing up, and it was warm. In a large land, a light bay mare grazed by a riverbank, melted snow dripping onto her sunglazed back. She yawned, turning to see her yearling.
Illindream was chasing after a Monarch butterfly, it's wings a vibrant amber. She was beautiful, her coat like dark chocolate syrup, her eyes grey and proud. Her tail and neck where arched and she gleamed. Her second spring. Her dame smiled, proud of her, and happy to see Spring again.

Lassan cantered across Terra Delle Liberta, his ebonitte banners flowing out behind him. Lassan loved running. Every morning he would run around Liberta, sometimes venturing into the deeper parts of the land, that he didn't even know. Today he had decided to stay in the main parts of the land where most of the herd members were. As he ran past horses in his herd, he would whinny a greeting and continue on his way.
Lassan slowed to a canter when he caught a very familiar scent in his flaring nares. He continued to canter until he saw two equine forms. He slowed to a trot and let out a whinny. As he got closer, he could see a beautiful bay Arab mare and a dark bay filly. It had to be Illindream and Artava.
"Artava! Illindream!" he called out as he grew closer. He slowed to a walk when he was several strides away from them. "How are you two?" he asked, a smile gracing his features.

The brood rose her head from her meal and smiled. "Lassan!" She cantered upa nd nuzzled his neck. "I haven't seen you in awile. Look, 'tis Spring! And great, I am now another year older." She smiled, Illindream trotting up. "Yeah, your ancient, mom." She said, and nuzzled her father lightly. She wondered why she hadn't seen the rest of the herd in so long, but she didn't care.

Lassan smiled happily as Artava greeted him. He nuzzled her back and said "I love the spring as well. I was getting tired of the freezing cold. This warm weather is perfect." He pulled away and looked into her optics. "Where have you been al this time? I haven't seen you all winter m'dear."
Lassan turned his attention to Illindream as she trotted up and nuzzled him. "Illindream! How big you've gotten." he smiled at his daughter. "Hw have you been?"

Artava smiled in pride at her daughter and looked back. "This land is pretty big, you know. During the blizzards we stumbled upon a place that was shaped like a big bowl, it protected us from the harsh weather. We stayed there all winter." She said, and stopped so Illindream could speak, she was so eager. "Just fine. Been missing the rest of the land, though." She said, pawing restlessly.

The small vixen had been frolicing through the warm spring air, playing like a little filly with her foal with her. Flame was with her, and she could frolic about now, just like she was. Her bad beginning was over. She came to a stop at Lassan. "Hi, Master. Beautiful day, isn't it? Oh, Hi! I don't believe we've met. I'm Vodka's Venom, My filly Flame, and my colt, Polaris. Oh! Your yearling is SO cute!! We should totally go for a walk later." she sounded like a filly again, her hot pink optics shining bright, her coat gleaming...

Oh, joy. Never got a moment alone anymore. Seemed that everytime she was alone a herd member jumped up and broke them up. With a sigh, she turned to glance at the mare. "Are you a member of this herd? Well, anyways, i'm the Beta Mare, Artava, and have been a member for longer then anyone else but a select few. And that is my filly, Illindream." She said in a formal voice, ears in a half pin. Illindream looked dazed at the more who had randomly popped out of no where.

[~Flame~] The stars hold a bright future... Flame pranced about beside her new mother and brother. She had indeed been feeling a ton better than the state that Lassan and Venom had found her in. Healthy and alive with her adoptive mother's milk, gangly pillars broke into a canter. Ivories lashed out playfully and nipped at Polaris's pelt. She was still smaller than him, but her spunk more than made up for her height. A high-pitched whinny whistled from between her velveteen kissers. Her play came to a stop for a moment as they came across three others. Orbs locked on each of their forms, and to her delight, she recognized Lassan. The two others she hadn't known, but one was a foal as well. Maybe another friend? She pondered. The mare introduced herself as Artava and the filly as Illindream. Kissers pulled into a smile as she looked to both of them. Orbs glanced over to Lassan again and she couldn't hold herself back, pillars broke into a frantic sprint toward him. Sliding to a stop before she bumped into him. Dark purple orbs peered up at the stag whom she had adored since he had helped to save her life. Hello Lassan! Baby vocals wrang up to him. Warm maw reached up to his chest.

*Polaris*
The little colt lagged behind his mother and sister as they moved through the land. Polaris stopped as he caught sight of a rabbit running under a bush. He snorted and walked up to the shrub the rabbit had just went under. After a few moments he figured the rabbit didn't want to come out. He let out a small snort and turned around, only to find his mother and Flame gone.
He stuck his little muzzle in the air, and realised tht the weren't that far off. He broke into a canter in the direction of their scent. He stumbled a bit over his long pillars as he slowed and finally came to a hat next to Flame. He looked up and saw Lassan and another mare. Polaris smield at both of them, not saying a word.
Lassan
Lassan nodded as they spoke. "I'm glad you found some where safe." he said with a smile. "It's just so good to have you two back." He looked from Illindream to Artava and was about to say something, when he heard hoof beats in the distance. His corwn turned and his audits twitched.
A few moments later he saw Venom and Flame come bounding up. Lassan smiled at them and stepped back a bit as Artava and Venom began to speak. Soon enough, Polaris found his way to the group as well. Lassan looked to Flame as she spoke. "Hello Flame. How are you today?"

Artava Light up the darkness, warm the heart.
The Arabian mare smiled warmly. She knew in this large land she'd probably never get alone time with Lassan, but she barely cared anymore. This was her life, she lived it to it's fullest. She loved this wonderful place. Her eyes looked lovingly, and she saw truth and love twinkling in his. In that moment, she felt complete Don't worry, love. I'll always be here, for you. She encouraged.
Illindream Love me, hate me, just don't hurt me.
Illindream smiled at her dam, and turned to look at the other yearlings, her face bright. She moved into a perfect little rear and trotted off, tossing her head. C'mon, guys. Let's run! It's no fun to spend Spring just talking. Pushing her pillers forward, playfully she pounced forward and burst into a blinding gallop. I'd be suprised if she wasn't faster then her dam, who was hands down probably the fastest in the herd.

[~Flame~] The stars hold a bright future... Shining orbs peered up at Lassan. Hello! Her high pitched vocals answered him back. I am good. Kissers pulled into a smile, but her attention was diverted to the other filly. Maw touched his pelt once more before scampering off behind her. Pillars picked up into a brisk gallop. She was nowhere near the other's speed yet, but she was still younger yet. Not knowing either of her parents, she could only guess at the traits that she had inherited from them. Orbs glanced to the filly's mother and for a moment she longed for her own mother.

Lassan
Lassan smiled as Flame chased after Illindream. He glanced to Artava and Venom, realising that they were quite peaceful. Lassan was glad that some members in his herd were happy for once. He then looked to Artava as she spoke once more. He flashed her a million watt smile and said "I know you will."
He then turned his head to Venom. "Well Venom, how have you been?" he asked her.
Polaris
Polaris began to ignore the adult horses as they started to talk. He was much more interested in what his sister and the other filly were doing. He walked closer to Flame as she watched Illindream take off. Not long after that, Flame too, was off. Polaris didn't like being the only one, so he sprinted off after his sister hoping to catch up.
