Crypt 'O Night Shadows can play with your mind. Nothing else.
The ebony painted stag trotted purposefully through Terra Delle Liberta. The silly lad didn't even have a designated task. He wanted to find someone to talk to, since he had lived through most of the winter with no communincation to his fellow herd mates. He'd had a few simple chit-chat's with deer and birds but that was basically it.
The main pond was coming in to sight and Night decided it would be best for him to drink now instead of later. Sun shon through the treetops. There weren't any leaves on them yet, after all. His winter coat had started to shed off and a short, dark onyx cape was increasingly visible. His new pelt had a sheen to it, and even with some splattered mud on his canvas, he was beginning to look like his well-groomed self.
Foot-falls slowed to a fast paced walk as he advanced to the water's edge. Hooves sunk into the thick, sticky dirt. Lowering his maw to the liquid, Night drank with pleasure. The water was horribly cold, but for once in a long time there wasn't a shield covering it up.

The little vixen had been greiving over her mother for days. Laying in the same spot she had been birthed two long years ago. Harsh winters had followed, taking her mother's life this last one with her horrid half. Her liquid, indigo optics stared in one spot out in the pond. As if trying to lift it. As Night approached, her small body tensed, barely covering her protruding bones. She was no more than muscle, skin and bones. Her dul, unkept, dirty and tangled pelt stretched tightly over her bones. You could see every bone. Depression, deep, deep depression. Her empty optics bored into him. A low snarl ripped from her thoat. No longer was she friendly, no longer did she trust a soul. A hard, very thick, cold as stone exteriour had formed. No way to get though.....

The stag stopped drinking when he heard a very faint sound behind him. A preditor was his first thought, and he instinctively turned around to inspect. Muscles were tensed and audits were on full alert.
Walking around a little bushline, Night breathed quietly then haulted. A light breathing could be heard in the bushes. It didn't sound like anything large. Relaxing a little, he tried to walk toward the breathing. What was that? A snarl? Pushing a bushes thick branch up with his kissers, he found nothing. Moving on, he pushed anothe branch up. It was a foal. At first he mistook it for a newborn fawn. Then, coming to his senses he noticed that it was an abandoned filly. It was in such a pitiful condition..
Taking a small step back he let the young have a bit of space. Then, in a gentle voice he said. "Hello, little one. What might have brought you to this state?" The Friesian made his lyrics casual so that the foal woudn't feel frightened by his rather large physique.

Another snarl ripped from her throat. "I'm Kibi.." a growled whisper came from the tiny thing. Her optics were furiously in deep depression. "My mother..." snarls ripped, her vioce quivering. Her tiny ivories bared. Such a pitiful state, this little angle had been drug deep down in hell, turned into what she was. She struggled up, supporting her horrid self on the huge oak tree beside her. "Is Go...Ne...." Tears steamed, a snarl came as she lunged, making her bluff. Snapping inches from his chest. She retreated to her tree. Protecting her birthing place. The most precioud thing she had of her left. "The filth must DIE!!" she screeched in vengance, anger, depression...

Night backed up a bit as the foal growled again. How long had it been there? She looked vaguely familiar, but the stag wasn't quite sure where he'd seen her. Then she spoke. So it was Kibitala who had become this mess of a horse. When she lunged at him, her ivories snipped at his crest and pulled at his hide. No crimson escaped him, which was good.
She stood, and looked at him with feirce eyes. Her next words came out in a mess. As droplets ran down her structured cheek bones, the ebonite beast could tell that she had changed a great deal since her mother, Raine's death. "The filth must DIE!!" What was the 'Filth' and why would she kill it? It took him a few moments to process it all, then a full report shot back at him: She wanted to kill Raine's new foal because she was overly distressed. All of her sadness, anger and hate was being channeled into the wrong passages and she was going to use all of that energy in a negative way.
This was the moment Night snapped. He was usually polite and gentle, but different situations have different needs. Glaring at her, he tensed, then bared his teeth. "Kibitala, you have absalutally no right to say what you just said. That foal deserves nothing but a good mother. It wasn't his fault that he was born! Now either stay here till I return, or follow me. I'm not going to let you waste away, or take an innocent life." Night had a surprisingly leveled and firm voice. His expression was hard, as to the fact that he was angered by Kibi's fowl behavior.

The vixen's optics became furious. She tried chomped on his chest as hard as she could, which was VERY VERY hard, and removed. Hoping to carry a huge chunk of him with her. "I HAVE THE RIGHT TO SAY ANY DAMN THING I WANT!!" she screamed. Taking a step foward, but without support she collapsed in a heap. She wailed in fury and sadness. Her front hooves slashing out. Normally, her hooves were normal. But she had spent weeks sharpening them on rocks, they had become like razor-blades. In a fury, she straggled up, slashign her hooves in the air, trying to cut his legs as hard as she could possibly manage...

[Sorry. I didn't say she did bite, I said she was hoping. That if she could get a hold on him, he would hoepfully carry a chunk out.]

Lassan's crown shot up as he heard Kibitala's lyrics. She seemed very angry. Lassan let out a snort and broke into a canter to go and see what the issue was.
He finally found Kibi and Night, but the scene that greeted him wasn't what he was expecting at all. Kibi was lunging at Night, trying to hurt him. Lassan let out a loud, angry whinny. "KIBITALA!" he yelled, trotting up to her.

Night had seen the orphaned foal being born, and hated the thought of it getting harmed. She lunged at him and bit at his chest. When she released, this time a patch of skin was gone and small specs of dark red began to grow into larger and larger specs until finally a few drops of bloods fell to the ground. Of course it hurt! It wasn't like he had no senses. With a snort, he backed up. It was too late, she had reared up and was thrashing her dagger's every which way. When he got a look at them, they seemed pretty sharp. One of the hooves hit the top of his knee leaving a slit for his insides to escape.
A loud whinny climbed out from his throat and hit the air with as a full throttle scream. He was getting beaten up by a vix half the age of himself. Then at that moment a large ebony figure came cantering over. Lassan screamed, too, and by the sound of it he was mad, indeed. He came trotting up to the two and shouted his daughter's name. Night looked at him then at Kibitala. He walked up to his Lead and spoke. "A drink is what I first came here for, but I heard Kibitala and she sounded poorly. Somehow this is what it came to." Night was hoping to tell Lassan about Kibi's murderous thoughts when they were alone. Now wasn't the time.

The small vixen remained on the ground, her dull optics furious. "Leave me ALONE!!" she screeched. Her otpics widened. She han't seen he father since her mother died. "Daddy...." she whispered in disbelief. "Daddy, you came to see me. Daddy, I love you." she whispered, her sudden furious body was now as calm as a serine pond. Her optics brightened, staring at Night's deep gash. "Daddy, did I do that?" she whispered, tears streaming down her bony cheeks. Crimson oozed from the two wounds, "I'm sorry..." she whispered quietly, looking down. Her skinny pillars layed in front of her, mane splattered on her wet pelt. "Daddy....."....

ooc// muse ish dead so yeah
With his optics still ufll of fury, he looked to his warrior as he spoke. He nodded to indicate that he believed every word of what Night was saying. He then turned his attention to Kibitala when she started saying 'daddy' and asked if she made the bleeding wounds on Night's bodice. "Yes Kibi, you did do that!" he yelled. his daughter seriously needed help. "And I want to know why you did that?!" he growled at her, his nares flaring.

Kibi backed up. "Daddy, don't! I'm sorry!" she looked like her mother crying, all over again in her last day. "I didn't mean to!!" she wailed, scared to deah of her own father, scrambling backwards. "I miss Mommy, and I don't remember anything after I saw him come to the watering hole..." "I miss Mommy.." she whimpered between broken sobs. The filly closed her optics, whimpering. "Daddy, why did Mommy go??" "Why did she leave me?? What did I do? Was I bad? Why won't she come back, why did she have to go?" she broke into sobs again, tears staining her beautiful face..

Lassan halted as Kibi told him to stop. Lassan never had any intention of hurting her. He could never do that. Kibi then started tlkaing about how she missed her mother. It was so hard for Lassan not to snap back 'And you don't think I do?' "I know you do Kibi." he said softly to his daughter.
"No Kibi, it wasn't you who made her leave." Lassan repleid with a sigh. "She will never come back love." he said to Kibi. Lassan wasn't really sure how much Raine had loved Kibitala. She loved her, but it didn't seem to be genuine love. It was more like she loved Kibi until she had turned a year of age a few months ago and then she seemed to be just another horse to Raine.

Black Pearl coat with the bloodlines of a gypsy vanner trotted in. His age, was just a few days shy of 2 years, and he was at his magnificantly short hight of only 14.3HH, of couse that was all the bigger he would be. He had been wandering, exploring living his life to the fullest but there was something missing on his adventures. Of course! Kibi, the brillaint filly that was older than him, but he loved her so since the first time they met, when their mother's hadn't really got along. His black frizzy forelock was blown aside by the wind as his love's scent caught his nares. Drum excitedly cantered towards the place where she was. Nearing, he saw Lassan and another black horse. Slowing his pearly black form he looked to Kibi and almost went into hysterics. It didn't even look like her. He lifted his hoof and kickked himself in the stomach. If he hadn't have been gone so long, who knows maybe he could've helped prevent that. He walked closer but was hesitant to touch her frail looking bodice. " Kibi?"He asked softly wishing hewoldve been here to know what had happened to his lovely looking Kibi, that he always frolicked with.
