Lassan made his way into the main valley of the land. He raised his crown and let out a loud call, calling all the herd members to a meeting. In this meeting he was going to dicuss herd positions and talk about the issue of finding food. He stood, waiting for any of his members to show up.

Indukala came loping in to the meeting, a light whuffle leaving her throat. Her brown orbs greeted Lassan first, and the gaze was ensued by a halt in her steps and a deep bow. Lifting her crown from the ground, the mare took a timid step forward, gently rubbing her nose to Lassan’s. There was a soft gaze in her eyes and the tap was most certainly one of reassurance. She had just recently been delivered the news of River’s departure. So, she want to comfort her Lord. Afterall, he had done just that for her when he brought her to these gorgeous lands.
A slender frame came upon the scene. Shadow had fit her name lately, following Lassan just like she was his shadow. However, today she had not stuck so close – not until she heard her father’s calling. The filly immediately ran towards the triad of horse. She arrived to see Indukala tapping her dad’s muzzle. And, then her gaze went to the newest member. Her head tilted to the side, curiousity in her eyes. Eventually, the gaze returned to her father and Indukala, merely observing.

The blackened stag lifted his fine head as to hear the call of Lassan. He had been foraging for a food of some sort to sustain himself. Now he was at a steady gallop, quickly advancing. His sturdy hooves clashing with the white fluff left a trail behind. His bod was good for mant things, and plowing being one of them.
Up ahead, a rotten, frozen tree trunk lay glued to the earth. A banket of snow covered it, but his chambers were sensitive enough to detect such an object. Orbs scrutinized, and challenged it. Instead of making his way around it, he prepared to jump it. Muscles bunched and legs tucked in accordingly. His mass swiftly glided over the hulk of wood, and with a poof of fluff, he was back on ground. At this point, he was quite close to the destination. Dodging the upright tree's, he came to a hault near the rest of the herd; even if there were only four there at this point.
His snorted softly, letting out a cloud of warm air. Instantly he began to drift toward Lassan. On his way he gave a few little nods to the other equine. Even with a winter coat, he could tell that it was Indukala under that thick pelt. Stopping infront of his Master, he bowed down, letting his stomache touch the cold snow. As he arose, he looked Lassan in the eyes, and sincerly said "I am truly sorry Lassan. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if she returned. From the time I had spent with her, I could tell that she was a good mare." He hoped he hadn't spoken too much, but the words almost fell out of his mouth. They had to be said. And even without saying her name, it was obvious who he had being speaking of.
With that, Night back up and turned around to stand with the others. He stood beside Shadow, and gazed at her. She had really grown, from the last time he'd seen her. But she was still as pretty as ever. He nuzzled her in a reasuring way, feeling no need to tell her anything. Sometimes actions are a better way of telling someone something, than words.

The poor vixen silently slipped into the meeting. Not a sound was made... Only what little carbon dioxide slipped silently in frozen puffs. Her froze hooves padded silently along as she made her way to the front.... A cough rattled her small, fragile bod violently. Her little foal, of course was with her... Not doing much better.. A almost meaningless, soft nicker called to tel them she was here.../No muse. o-o

&&.Lynx Radars prick in a curious manner as her Lord's call sounded out, causing a chesnut vixen to raise her crown to search for the source of his voice. Already others were gathering around the Arabian brute, displaying themselves with dignity. Well, mostly. She felt a pag of guilt as she trotted over, the thrum of her hoofbeats harmonic with her graceful steps. Her weight had dipped into the unhealthier side, feeling it was the least she could do for this herd for adopting her to eat less and save them more. Her head lowered and her pace decreased to a fast-walk as she came closer to the equines, a shiver gently shaking her bodice. A few paces behind the gathered animals she stopped, flaring her delicate nostrails and flicking her radars in a weary behavior, shifting uncomforatibly every few minutes. She lowered her gaze to the frosty frozen ground, avoiding watching the others. She just didn't feel...right joining Terra Delle Liberta when they were in such a poor state. She had kept away from the others ever since she was accepted, feeling it was the best thing to do if she was going to stay; let them approuch on their own. She glanced up to find Shadow's gaze on her, and gave her a soft smile before the young fae looked away. She nodded slowly and stared back at the ground once more, her neck curling up so her velvet muzzle was touching her neck.
Are We Human, or Are We Dancers?

The call of the lead caused the ears upon the bay and white mare to flick forward as she scavenged for food. She looked a bit better than her previous encounter with some of the herd, but she still looked underweight. Head was tossed into the air, as Malifex trotted toward the gathering, her tail flicking across her hindquarters slightly. Eyes looked from each horse, lingering momentarily on Night, then would move to the next. After a close inspection of each member of the herd, the warrior lowered her muzzle to her leg, itching it slightly, waiting for Lassan's words. All the while, Malifex had the dizzy feeling in her head, another vision creeping into her mind. With a shake of her head, the feeling left, dashing off as if it were a prey animal being chased by a predator.
She breathed out deeply, a small cloud of mist forming in front of her maw. The aching hunger in her stomach caused her to wince, but she didn't do much of anything else. She stood more toward the outside of the little group, more of an outcast than anything else.
ooc. } Ewww. Such a crappy post. D: Forgive my lack of muse.

Saratoga heard Lassan's bugle from across the tierra. She headed out in his direction, pillars moving under her expanded bodice. She was sure to have the foal soon. Harks flicked back and forth as the sounds of other equines moving toward the same location were heard. The rough terrain and her present condition prevented her from moving faster, but she reached Lassan and the herd in time. She stood among the group, looking about at all of those present. Orbs looked to Lassan and she gave a bow, waiting to hear what the meeting was about.

*Polaris* The little colt followed his mother into the meeting. His orbs grew wide at the sight of all the big equines around him. He seemed to be the only little foal around. He coughed violently as he moved closer to the small frame of his mother, his orbs focused on his 'father' as he prepared to speak. Lassan When Lassan figured that he had enough herd members to start the meeting, he began. "I want to thank you all for coming. I'm going to start even though every one isn't here yet. They will just have to be informed on what was talked about in this meeting." He paused and lookeddown to Venom's little colt Polaris and smiled at him. "In this meeting we will be discussing our alliances and ranks within the herd. Any questions?"

Indukala’s orbs gazed at the group, ears falling back as her thoughts consumed her. The one dubbed Raine was now gone and things were a bit dismal in her head. She had expected deaths to occur, but in the first year of the herd’s exsistence? Shaking her crown so that her whole bodice shifted, the mare removed those thoughts. With ears perked at Lassan’s voice, the mare facaded a small smirk. She didn’t wish to gloom anyone else’s mood. Afterall, with River’s disappearance everything was already solemn enough.
Shadow tilted her head. She watched all of her herdmates with great interest. For now, she knew that as godess of these lands, they were all hers and so was the land. Smiling up to her father for a moment she nickered. Though she was soon distracted by a nuzzle from her favored equine, Night. Bright orbs watched the stag, and as he pulled away a big smile could be seen upon her kissers.

The spirit of a vixen looked at her only true love. She circled the herd once, none beware of a paranormal apperance. The phantom stopped by Lassan, and whisered in his aud "Watch over my foals, love." then she silently walked around to Shadow, and smiled at her. Such a bave little filly. And her dead optics strayed over to her daughter. Invisible tears poured down her face as she cried into Kibi's auds, "I miss you darling so much!!" and she walked through her, giving Raine memories of when life was good. Her pillars carried her back to Lassa..[/size]

"First off I want to inform you that my daughter Shadow is now lead mare of Terra Delle Liberta. Yes she is young, but I trust her to be a strong leader." He paused, looking to his Roan filly. He gave her a sad smile, thinking of river every time he looked at her. Maybe Artava had been right, River just needed a break then she'd come back.
"Kibitala." he said, using her full name instead of the nick name 'Kibi' like e usually did. "I have some tragic news." his vocals lowered. "Your mother, Raine, passed away earlier today while foaling. Her foal is alive but she bled out. I'm sorry." He snorted to keep from loosing his composure. "You do have a little half brother, or sister now. I never actually checked to see what the foal was."
Lassan then looked to to the group. "Venom." he called out. "I have a favour to ask of you." He paused when he swore that he could smell Raine's scent. He shook his crown to try and bring himself to his senses. No she was gone, she wouldn't be here. "Since Raine's foal, Flame, doesn't have anybody to care for him, I was wondering if you could be his, should we say, adoptive mother. I know you have Polaris, but I'm sure he would like a sibling to play with and I know you can care for both of them. The herd will help you out in any way needed. What d'you say?"

The filly's deep purple optics watered, she threw herself into Lassan's chest; burrying herself in his deep, ebony chest. Sobbing. "NO!! DADDY!! NO!!" the relitive she had left.... Her optics grew cold at the mention of another foal. "Daddy..."
The vixen jumped at the sound of her name. "I .. I guess..."
The ghostly vixen nipped his flank, "It's meeee...." she whispered in his auds.. Such crappy posts. Sorry.

The chesnut vixen listened with a silent maw, her eyes soft and solemn at the mention of a death. And while giving birth. She felt sadness for some reason, though she knew no-one in her new herd, expcept for Night, but she barely knew him all the same. And yet the passed mare was apart of her new adopted family; it was hard not to feel bad. Lynx's head loosened off her neck, she looking up at Lassan before it sweeping the herd. A small shiver racked her spine; not because of the cold, but of something more. Something was there, she could feel it. Her radars swiveled uneasily about as she searched for it, but saw nothing but empty air, the foliage, and her herdmates. After another moment of searching she gave up and returned her forest orbs to Lassan with half-hearted interest, the other half some where else that she didn't even know herself. She flicked her tail gently out of habit; there were no pestering bugs to itch her pelt right now.
