For as long as anyone can remember the equines have ruled over the feline community. They keep cats as pets and servants, making them run errands and carry messages and other such things that the equines can't be bothered to do themselves. Some are treated almost as equals but some are treated as slaves. If any feline tries to escape they are caught and killed. The equines don't want any of their servants to start a rebellion. It has been this way for decades. The days of feline freedom have long since been forgotten.

Then, a few years ago, a young cat was there to witness the birth of his mistresses first foal. The young mare was small and her colt was big. As the mare lay panting on her side she ordered the feline to clean the foal's airways. In process of doing so the cat breathed into the foal's lungs, filling them with air. It was only once the foal's eyes opened that they realized something was wrong. He had the slitted pupil of a cat. At first they thought it was some genetic fluke. But then he started showing other feline attributes. Still a genetic fluke they said. But not long after, the cat realized he could control the foal. Not tell him what to do exactly but he would make a suggestion and the foal acted on it nearly every time. After he found out this interesting fact the cat tried it on another foal. Same thing. Ever since then the cats have been secretly 'infecting' their master's foals with what the equines call 'the mutation' and the felines call 'the salvation'. They have to be careful about it and they can only do a few foals every month or so because they can't have the equines finding out. But if all goes well they will control every equine in a matter of years. Will you be the feline that stays loyal to your master and aid them like always or will you breath a new war into the world?
