Artava turned her head and perked her ears for approaching mares. Adrenaline pulsed through extended veins. As much as she wanted to fight for her herd, she had a job to do. Protect the young. Her own filly, Illindream, was safe in the secret spot deep in the woods. She neighed, and perked her ears, hoping mares would arrive with there foals soon.

Lassan picked his way through his land, searching for he scattered herd members to let them know that the threat was gone. His auds lifted as he caught the scent of Artava and Illindream. He let out a friendly whinny, waiting for one of them to come to him.

Artava looked annoyed. How could Lassan be jogging mearily around like a school girl, when a war had started and threatened to kill all the foals? "Lassan! Warn the mares and foals about the threat, and bring them to me! So I can bring them to the safe spot." She said, and gave him a nuzzle of love. "And be safe, Lassan. I'll do what I can for the foals and mares that birthed them." She smiled warmly, and glanced around for any threats.

Artava perked her ears at Raine's voice. She trotted toward her and halted. "I saw the two, both, about a mile back, in a forest." She said, with a concerned eye, hoping they would be safe from harm.

Lassan knew about this war going on. "Sure Artava, I will bring them to you. River will help you. you two will be in charge of the herd if I ever have to leave the land. Wher is Illindream?" He was about to go find River when Raine came up wondering where Kibitala and Drum had gotten off to. Lassan didn't know, so he looked to Artava as she told Raine that she saw them a few miles back. "You'd better get them and quick Raine, a war is coming upon our herd soon."

Swift trotted in shortly after, just catching Raine's words. " Drum has always been trouble..but with any hope they are together" Swift said looking to raine. "ill help you look for them" She said going over to her.

Artava nodded. She flicked her banner in confidence. "She's in the safe spot. I'll go there now, and wait for the others." She nodded to her words and gave Jassan a good bye nuzzle, and quickly galloped off.

Lassan watched as both his mares went in seperate directions. He smiled and made his way to the Main Valley part of his land, ready to call a herd meeting.
