Daggers struck the barren landscape as she made her way through. Her audits were flat against her skull, her optics filled with hate. She moved along, picking up her pace into a fast, choppy canter. Her ebony banner flicked behnid her, her long ebony flowing from her crest. She slowed as she aproached cliff. She came to the edge and looked down. It had to be a few hundred meters to the bottom, which she couldn't even see. She knew that over time, many had been lost in the depths of the foggy hole in the earth. She turned her head away and broke into a trot going the opposite direction, not knowing where she was going or what she was looking for. A crow cawed in the trees above, calling it's mates to it. She shook her crania and continued on. Her orbs looked around the 'scape searching for another cliff. After an hour of trotting she found one. She slowed and looked down. This one was only fifty meters deep. She smiled. Had she found the right one? Just then she heard a noise in the trees behind her. Her bodice whirled around, waiting for something to come out.

hannibal___. Beware those, who lurk in the dark, and feed on your fear. Don't get too close to the edge, dove. His voice was dark, as was his body, as he moved out from his hiding place in the shadows. Blue eyes watched the dove in front of him, his nostrils flaring at the scent of her. Don't want another Dark to fall down into the depths of the unknown. We have to stick together. Ears flicked forward, and a forehoof stomped onto the ground, leaving a hoofprint there. Tail snapped behind his body, and he watched this painted mare. She was almost like him, except how her white patterns were. Surely this was another Dark mare. Hannibal could tell by the way she carried herself, the way the hate reflected in her eyes, and ... how she smelled. He could tell how horses swayed with their alliances, this keen sense giving him a very good edge on getting herd members.[/blockquote]

Illusion Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
Amber eyes saw the dark form of another. It was a stag, she could tell by the sound of his lyrics. He spoke ot her, telling her not to get to close to the edge. She ignored the comment and turned back around and looked down in the gorge. Her amber orbs looked at his frame. He was tall, strongly built and he had blue opticals, an odd colour in the equine world. His markings were painted just like her own. She looked to him as he spoke. So he was another dark, just as her self. Was he a native breed of the isle? That would be even moreinteresting, if not, he still might be an interesting stag. She glanced one last time down the cayon and turned her frame to his. No we wouldn't want that now would we. her lyrics were dry and emotionless. Her optics scanned the land for any other signs of fellow equines. He seemed to be the only one. She was not a friendly mare at all, in fact she was the polar opposite. She glanced to him and asked What are you doing here? She had been told by a raven that no one ever came to this part of the land. He was wrong and she wasn't too happy with that ebony bird right now.

hannibal____. beware those who lurk in the dark and feed on your fear I am merely here because I was looking for more to join the small herd of one I have within my harem. Ears flicked slightly, as he watched her. Blue eyes traveled, of course, along her body, seeing how she was built. Not much different than any other horse, honestly, but maybe she would be fit for his herd. You don't have a herd, do you? Hannibal didn't want to get involved with a mare if she had a stallion, and a herd, to get back to. Tail slapped his dark bay hide, shooing away the annoying flying pests that decided to land there. Small clouds floated across the sky, catching the stallion's eyes momentairly, the blue going up to look at the fluffy gray-white. Then, his eyes went back to the mare, nostrils flaring slightly.[/blockquote]

She watched him closely as he spoke. He was here for exactly what she thought. He wanted to collect for his herd. She knew it. Every stag she had met had the same intentions. Of course most stags owned their own terras, so this wasn't uncommon.
She looked to him again as he asked her if she had a herd. She knew what he was going to do when she said no. He was going to want to have her for his own. She was a free spirit, unsure of the idea of being bound to a land. Maybe if his land was large she would go. She could not stand those small lands where one could always see another no matter where they were. She hoped his land wasn't like that.
No I do not have a herd. She said, her voice still dry and emotionless. Her audits flicked as she heard the sound of his banner smacking his pelt. She followed his line of vision up to the sky out of habit. When she nothing interesting up there, her orbs wandered to the tree tops, searching for a bird of any kind. Amber optics locked onto the same raven that had told her she would be alone here. She glared at him and gave him a shrill warning. She hoped she make the stag think she was crazy. She wasn't crazy. Or was she?
Her amber optics locked back to the ebony and ivory stag in front of her. His nares flared a bit as he looked at her. Her ebony banner flicked a few insects that had chosen to land on her. Let me guess stag. You would like for me to come with you to your land, I'm correct, no? She searched his face as she waited for a reply.

hannibal___. beware those who lurk in the dark and feed on your fears. It is all up to you, miss. I can not force another Dark to join me in my harem. Flicking his ears slightly, the painted stallion backed up a bit, head tucked in to rest near his chest. Of course, his tail swayed behind his painted body. Nostrils flared slightly, as blue eyes continued to watch the mare before him. You never did tell me your name, miss. {ohohclap.__+} Muse block. D: [/blockquote]

So he did want her to join. She smiled a bit. "Illusion." she said as he asked her her calling. She then realised that he had not given her his calling either. "And what would be your calling stag?" Her voice was still sharp and emotionless. She wasn't sure if she wanted to go with him or not. If she did, she would loose all her freedom to raom the lands. If she did, she might rise to power and maybe become goddess of the land. No, she wa getting ahead of herself at that point. She had always liked power, and thats why she liked to be free, she had the ultimate power over her own life and destiny. If she joined a herd, all that would be lost and put into the hands of this stag. "Tell me. If I join your realm, what do you have to offer?"

I would be Hannibal, miss Illusion. The stallion bobbed his head slightly, however, he did not lower it like a bow like he had seen so many other stallions do to win over a mare. Pathetic stallions. Tail slapped his hindquarters quite hard, and he snorted, blue eyes dancing in amusement at her last question. What do I have to offer? Miss Illusion. I have a land where you can roam, a place to eat, sleep, and live out your days. Ranks that are to be determined within the near future. I do not give out the lead mare position to anyone. So do not get your hopes up high. Smirking, his ears flicked forward, wondering if she would come with him back to Inferno Su Terra.[/blockquote]

Welcome to the Grand Illusion Come on in and see what's happening Pay the price, get your tickets for the show The stage is set, the band starts playing Suddenly your heart is pounding Wishing secretly you were a star. The painted bloke then spoke his calling. Hannibal. She loved the name for some reason, she didn't know why but she loved the name. Hannibal bobbed his crown in a sort of greeting. Illusion was pleased that he did not bow like most Lights and Neutrals did. She found bowing made them look desperate and very pathetic.
Her features were frozen into not showing much emotion. She had learned not to show any emotion until she could moderately trust some one. Her audits flicked as she heard the melody of his voice. She nodded her crown as he spoke. She liked the sound of it. As long as she had room to run and explore she would be a happy vixen. "Sounds like a nice lot of land." She then went quiet again. He said that he was still to give out ranks. She smiled a bit, hopefully she would get something high. Lead would be nice, but she would take lower if need be. She knew she would have to prove herself if she wanted a high rank, just how to do it was the question. She didn't know much about him yet and what he expected of another. "I would be honoured to be a part of your herd Hannibal."
She was ready for him to show her the way to his land. She watched him with her amber optics and waited for him to lead the way.

The land is dead when you first arrive, but there is a forest in the center. How it survived a fire is a mystery to me. The painted hellion turned, his tail swaying behind his body as he flared his nostrils. So, they were to head to Inferno Su Terra now. Good. Then he would call the other herd members, and see exactly who was still left within the harem. Everyone should be. I have some business to attend to after we get there. But I shouldn't be too long. His hooves started to move him back home, a slow pace just so Illusion can catch up.[/blockquote]
