Cernah folllowed the ebony stag into his lands. She gazed around. It was beautiful. She wondered if she would be able to find her way around them. She didn't know how big these lands were. She turned her soft gaze to Lasson. "It's beautiful." She said softly.

"Yes it is. I don't even know how big it is. I could show you around the parts that I do know though. And feel free to ask questions along the way." He looked over to her. Right now they were standing in what Lassan called Main Valley. It was just a big flat grassy feild that was near the enterance to the land. This was the main grazing spot for all the horses. The whole land was placed in a canyon so large roack walls and mountiand made the border. Just beyond the Main Valley was a forest and just past that was a waterfall and a large stream. He would show her these places first and then take her byond that.

She nodded. Looking around at the lands. "It's so great here. My life was so different before." She added. Looking to him then turning her gaze over the lands. She sniffed the fresh air. Wondering how many equines were in his herd.

He smiled, it indeed was a great land. "If you don't mind me asking, What was your life like before?" He looked to her as they walked onto the path that led into the small forest. "Oh by the way the feild we just left is called the Main Valley and this woods does not have a name." he added in just for her knowledge.

She nodded to what he had called the field and to what he said about the forest. She sighed. "Well, when I was born. I was born to a dark herd. My father would have rather had a son also." She paused. "So, when he found I was a filly. He killed my mother. I almost died, yet, one of the faes in the herd let me drink her milk. I stayed strong enough to servive. When I turned into a yearling, my father, uh, was 'testing' me to see how much pain I could take. Torturing me if you will. After a year of that, when I grew to two years. My father made one of the stags in the herd forcebred to me, well, almost. I kicked the stag away. Fighting him long enough so that my father got the idea and he tortured me some more. Then, the stag tried again." She paused. Taking a deep breath. "I, uh, ran away from him. Never looking back to my father. I travelled around for a year. Stopping to rest. Then, when I turned the age of four. I travelled a little bit more. Finding myself, well, here." She said and sighed. "That's the none detailed version though. The detailed version is too hard to talk about." She said quietly. Getting a bit tense.

He listened as she told her story. It had to be hard for her to live like that. He was glad she was here now, he wouldn't let anything like that happen to her or to any of the other herd members. "I'm sorry. At least you're safe now." he said. Lassan also had a story but when ever she asked he would tell her, he kept nothing hidden from his herd mates. They soon emerged from the woods an to a plot of grass with a lovely waterfall and a river the flowed from it. "This si the main swimming, bathing and drinking source for all creatures in the land." he stated. He paused and went to the river and stepped up to his knees. He lowered his eboniter muzzle and took a sip of the water.

She nodded. "Yes, I'm happy that I am." She replied softly. Wondering if she should ask about his past or not. She thought about it. Cernah smiled softly at the waterfall. "It's also beautiful." She added. Walking into the water she took a drink. Still thinking about asking Lasson about his past or not.

He smiled as sheaid the land was beautiful. It truely was. "So I'm guessing you were born on this island then?" He dipped his ebony muzzle back into the crystal liquid. He walked in further until the water was chest high. It was such a hot day and he was an ebony stag. He needed to cool off to keep from over heating.

She took another drink. "Yes, but, very, very far away." She replied softly. Looking around once again then to her reflection in the water. She broke the reflection when she dipped her muzzle back into the cool water. Going deeper into the water also. The cool water felt great on her pelt after running and travelling for so long.

"Ah OK. I too was born here on this great isle." He stopped and went deeper. The summer days were jsut too hot for ebony pelted creatures like himself. There were not any clouds and the sun was high in the sky, which did not help at all. He sighed, hopefully a strom would blow in later. He did have the feeling that it was going to rain soon. He looked to Cernah and said "I guess you are probably wondering about my past, eh?"

She nodded. Walking even deeper into the cool water. The water was now up to her chest. She looked around. "I am wondering, but, you do not have to tell me if you do not wish too." She replied. Taking a quick drink of the cool water, then turning her gaze around the vast place. Then back to Lasson.

Still standing in the water he began to speak "Well my father was from Ireland. He was on a ship that crashed here. He then became the lead of a Dark herd. My mother a dainty little ebony from England came over the same way. She was by far a Light. You could tell just by looking at her. Anyways she was a wanderer looking for a Light or Neutral herd to join. Instead my father, a very Dark stallion came along. He swept her off her feet, sadly. They got along just fine, a Light and a Dark getting along and loving each other, interesting eh? He made my mother the lead mare. Two years later I was born. Father wasnt too happy about it. The one thing he did not like was foals. He put up with me though." Lassan paused for a minute. "One thing led to another and for some reason my mum and father started to hate each other. One day mum left the herd and never took me, and I as only six months. Father tried to make me a Dark, but I wasn't. He knew it too. When I was a year he kicked me out and told me he never wanted to see me in his land again. So I left. I wandered for year, getting beat up by all other wandering horses older than me. Now I'm here." sad to say that was his short version. He left out all the horrible parts.

Cernah looked to the water. "I'm sorry to hear that." She said softly. Understanding what he felt. She looked around. Her green eyes gazing over the land. She turned her gaze back to him. "But, maybe it was a good thing you know? Now look where you find yourself?" She said softly.

"I guess you're right. I mean c'mon I might have been killed by him eventually. And I know he would never in a million years let me take over the herd when he passed. He would rather have one of the lowest level herd mates to ake the job than me. Ah what am I complaining about? I'm not any where near him and for all I know he could be dead." Lassan took a breath. He had not spoken of his past in a long time. The one thing he forgot to mention to her was his good friend Katie, who died because of his wretched father. Katie was a buckskin quarter horse about four years older than Lassan. When Lassan was a foal, he would always follow her around and play with her. They grew extremely attached to one another. On day Lassan's father got mad at Katie for no reason and killed her on the spot in front of Lassan. That was another reason he was glad to get kicked out. The land held to many memories of his dun friend. she was history now. He looked off to the sk with a sad look. He had not thought about Katie for years, she had just popped into his mind.

Cernah nodded. Seeing a sad look in his eyes she walked over through the water to him. Nuzzling him softly. She looked around and turned to Lasson. Her gaze soft and caring. "My father would have most likey done the same." She added quietly. Looking around once again.
