As the stallion, black as night, walked on, the air changed, carrying the scent of a mare. Night was suddenly very aware. He kept walking, but looked at Lassan for some sort of explaination. Who was the femme that he could smell oh so easily. He flicked his tail swating a few winged vermants, then took a deep breath, ready to view to fae on the other side of the brush. He wa still waiting for the God to reply to his past words, but wasn't paying much attention to that subject. His nostrils flared in antisipation. He was quite excited, maybe there would be other equine, but judging by the scent, the animal was singled out. The stag lifted his maw a tad, wanting to keep his posture.

Lassan listened to his warrior speak about what types of horses the was looking for to be in his army. Lassan nodded his crania in approval. "I lik what you are looking for. I'm sure you will find many great equines in this land. And I do not expect you to have battle plans soon, fo rI hope we'll rarely use them." He smiled a bit as the rain went down to a misty drizzle. He shook off a bit more, his soaked pelt becomming dry in spots. He lifted his maw just a bit as the scent of his mate came to his nostrils. He let out a greeting whinny. He looked to his proud warrior next to him who seemed to be unphased by anything. They cleared through the brush, being greeted with the sight of a blue roan and white mare standing over a small blue roan filly. Lassan looked to Night and said "That is River, the Goddess of the land. That is our daughter Shadow. I would like you to meet them. "He walked a bit faster as he made his way up the hill. He stopped when he reached River and Shadow he let out a low whinny and looked back to see if Night was commming.

"She and her foal are beautiful." he said honestly.
As the stud infront of him rushed up the hill, and looked back at him, Night broke into a trot up the hill. When he was a little way's from the three equine, he shook his pelt, getting the last of the dripping liquid off of his coat. He nickered quietly to Lassan, and nodded to River, and her foal. He waited for the King to introduce him with the fine looking mare and her most pleasant little filly.
OOC: Sorry it's so short.

River was reassured, hearing her stallion's voice calling out to her. She didn't answer, not wanting to wake Shadow, but the noise had done that for her. Hearing her daddy's voice, the filly seemed to bolt awake, rolling onto her stomach quickly, she looked about. River whuffled at her o lie still, not sure on the other horse. A stallion yes, but a stranger. River was nervous. This was her first foal, well first to survive that is. She was fearful of losing her.
The roan mare nickered a greeting to Lassan and tugged at his mane playfully. The filly, Shadow, struggled to her feet and stood looking up at Lassan, stilll a little unsure of his size, though she would no doubt rgow to a size near his. The arrival of this new stallion distracted her though. She hadn't met another stallion yet. This was something new. Giving a little whicker of interest, Shadow gazed at the stranger with wide brown eyes, the large blaze splashed on her face showing clearly in the darkness.
River watched the stallion cautiously, but with some interest. No doubt he was a new comer to the herd. Still... River nodded in return when he did to her. He had respect at least. "Hello there" She said quietly.

Lassan was delighted to see River and Shadow. He pulled at River's mane and touched his muzzle to the little filly, who seemed unsure of him still. He smileda t the roan pair. He then looked over his shoulder to the ebont Friesian stag. Lassan could see River and Shadow looking at him. Lassan had forgotten to intrduce them. "River, Shadow this is Crypt O' Night. He prefers to go by the claiing Night. He is a new member to the herd. He has been here for a few days and would like to meet you. He has been given the duty of Lead Warrior." He said mostly to River and not to Shadow since the filly still seemed to be amazed by the other black horse. Lassan motioned his Warrior closer and then spoke to him. "Night, This is River." He pointed his muzzle to his lead mare. "She is the Lead Mare of this land and seconf in power. She is to be respected at all times. Our filly's name is Shadow. She too is to be respected." He looked to the other stag and then to his family waiting for on or the other to speak.

As Lassan introduced him to his mate, and foal, Night kept his eyes on the filly. When his King finished, he looked up, in a daze, and smiled. He gave a quick bow, in respect, then arose. "Greetings River, and Shadow. Pleasure in meeting you." he said, his voice friendly and honest.
He could see Shadow seemed to be either shy, or curious of him. He hadn't met many foals, but now that he was up close to one, he realized his love for them. Or was it just Shadow? He wasn't sure. But he did know, that he hoped she wouldn't be afraid of him. He wasn't really someone to be scared to, unless, that is, if he was in defence mode. As he waited for Goddess to speak, he looked at Lassan, hoping for some type of reasurance. He was a little embarressed to be needing reasurance, but then again, Lassan was the Leader...

A warm smile crossed River's lips. She gave a small nod to the stallion's bow. "The pleasures all mine" She said calmly. Looking towards her foal, River noticed the filly's constant stare. Nuzzling her with her large white muzzle, River said "Shadow, my dear, that is enough. It is rude to stare like that.". She chastised the filly gently before returning her attention to the stallions. "Please excuse her, she is young and you are the first stallion other than Lassan she has met. She hasn't yet left the territory".
Shadow mean while had stopped staring, though she kept glancing back at Night. Trying to be closer to him, Shadow walked proudly to her father's side and nipped at his neck. Once beside his shoulder, she kept sticking her head under his stomach, or around his chest to look at this new stallion with excitied curiousity.

Lassan smiled as River greeted the new warrior. Shadow seemed to be very interested in the new arrival. She kept staring at the friesian stallion. River then told her it was rude to stare. Lassan watched as Shadow walked to him and nipped at his neck. "Why 'ello Shadow." He said as he touched his muzzle to her. The little roan kept sticking her head around his chest or uner him to look at the warrior. "Shadow." He said to the filly. "Would you like to go over and say hello to our lead warrior?" Lassan looked to River and motioned her to come closer so she to could properly meet the warrior.

"Oh, well hopfully I wont make too bad an impression." said Night, voice full of warmth. His eyes were honest. He did hope he was giving the male gender a good name. He also hoped he would be able to slowly gain her trust, and possibly a friendship.
When Shadow came to Lassan's side, Night couldn't help notice her eyes glazing over him every now and then. After his King had asked Shadow if she would like to greet him, another smile played on his maw. He took one step forward, revealing his large statue. A nicker escaped his lips, but it was so faint that you could barely hear it. He lowered his nice head, and looked at her.

The dun took a few paces into the vicinity of the group. Her eyes wandered over the visage of the lovely little roan filly. She remember when she was that small, four falls back. Indukala couldn't help but sigh, she remembered all the lovely foals her mother had thrown under her father's ruling. It had been close to a year since she left the herd, and it had been since then that she had seen a foal. The 'stangs unpredictability made her good with foals, but she was still uneasy about approaching the group. By the way the female smelled, she could tell that she was high in rank.
With her head held low, the mare approached, brown orbs going from the young foal to her brood and then to her Alpha stag. Last, she was surprised to see a rather handsome stag dubbed Night. The mustang hadn't noticed him standing there before. She offered them all a sheepish smile, her head still hung somewhat low.

The Friesian was half surprised that suddenly a vix that wore dun as a coat, came walking up the hill. Her head was held low, eyes wandering. Night lifted his head, and looked at the mare. He didn't want to invite her over incase Lassan or River would have other idea's. When her eyes landed on him, his ears flicked forward. He kept his postition, but looked at his King.
Later on, the stag hoped to greet the beauty of a mare. He wondered what she was like. Shy, bold, gruesom, or outgoing? These were all possibilties.

Shadow was a little shy about it, but she stepped around her father, moving closer to the stallion. She whinnied back to him, ears pricked hopefully. This Night certainly facinated her.
River suddenly called the filly to her side. A stranger had appeared. A dun mare. Flicking her tail, River side stepped closer to Lassan, though leaving a gap for the stallion to step through to greet the mare. If he choose to. He could simply chase her off. River somehow knew he'd call her over. The smallest hint of annoyance crossed the mare. This herd was already large enough, with some very disrespectful young fillies and it annoyed her to no end.
Her tail flicked again sharply and River hid her annoyance by grooming Shadow's back and fuzzy black mane. Much to Shadow's annoyance. Why did she have to groom her now?! and in front of Night.
ooc: I like the word annoyance XD

The large stud lowered his neck down to the fillies level, and sniffed the air. It carried the scent of the foal, which smelled like the mother, River. As Shadow walked over, he could tell she was a bit shy. When she whinnied over to him, Night took a step forward, and stretched his neck out, touching her velvety nose. He pulled away quick, incase her sire or dam didn't approve.
When his Goddess sidestepped over to Lassan, Night raised his maw to it's average height, and looked at the mare. He was unsure of her. Looking at his Lord, he had a feeling Lassan would go over and welcome her. He seemed to do that very often. Ignoring his previous thoughts, Night flicked his tail, and looked at Shadow, now at her mother's side. River was grooming the filly, which caused Night to half smile.

Lassan looked up as he saw a dun mare enter the area. He whinnied a greeting to her. "Everybody, I would like for you to meet Indukala. She is a new herd member." he looked to all three of them and then went up to the dun. "Greetings Indukala. I see you have found us. Well I'm sure you would like to get to know these herd members, eh?" He paused for a moment before he told her their names. "The blue roan and white paint mare is River, she is lead mare of the land. Shadow, the little roan, is our foal. Night, the black friesian stallion, is the Lead Warrior of this great land. Now do not be nervous and come with me to meet them." Lassan wanted to make the mare feel at home here and assure her that she didn't need to be afraid.

Listening to Lassan's words silently, River stopped grooming her filly to look up. She noticed Night watching her and looked over to him, ears pricked fowards questioningly. A small smiled passed her lips, but was gone as swiftly as it came. Her attention fell to Lassan and the new mare. Her calling, Indukala, was a pretty one. Like the mare really. Lassan certainly chose lookers.
Shadow nipped at her mother's legs a few times while being groomed, showing her dislike. Hearing her name though she flicked her head up to look at her father, then to the dun. The filly tried to puff her chest out and look big and proud. Showing off. River smiled at her actions. Proud of her young one.
