Lassan heard the stags hoof falls cease for a moment and then pick up again until they matched. "Now I suppose I should tell you the rules to the land." He paused for a moment before speaking once more. "Always respect ranks higher than you. Lower ranks should respect the higher ranks. The lead warrior is in charge of all the warriors and battle plans. Only the lead may breed, unless you ask permission. Respect the leaders choices. The lead warrior will come with the lead to male alliances with other herds. The lead warrior is to help keep watch over the land and herd. The lead and lad warrior choose the best horses to be warriors. Thats pretty much all you need to know. Any questions?" He looked up to the sky as the rain started to beat down on his ebony pelt. It kept getting hard and pretty soon it was down pouring. "Want to go into some shelter?"

After the brute finished speaking, he took his turn, "I shall do all in my power to keep the rules untouched." he said, then looked forward. It was quite difficult to see where you were going in this kind of down pour. "Yes, I suppose shelter would do us some good." he said with a nod. He looked infront of him, and although the stud was close, he was just a dark outline. Night looked at the stallion for guidance as to where he should go. He picked up his pace resulting with his maw beside the stag's belly. Night kept himself at an exceptional distance, not wanting to inclose the horse beside him.

Lassan smiled through the rain. this stag is just what his herd needed. Strong, determined and so far he seemed loyal to his leader. Who knows, that might change though. Lassan dearly hoped it wouldn't. Maybe he could even find a new friend in this one called Night. Lassan snorted, water spraying off his muzzle. He glanced to the ebony, who was trotting next to him. They approached a thicket of trees. The trees' canopies were tightly pushed together, making a sturdy roof that the rain couldn't penitrate. "In here." Lassan said as he slowed his pace and walked in the cover. Surprisingly enough, there was enough room for about twenty horses under the large canopy and it was illuminated just enough so one could see the others around them. He did not know how long the storm would last, or how bad it was going to get.

When the two horses arrived at the dense blanket of leaves, he slowed to to a walk. He walked under, where the soil was smooth and dry, almost like a thin layer of sand. He stood in the dark, and watched as the rain turned the dirt into mud. He was warm, but in an irritating way. The air around him was thick and humid. He manuvered his large frame around, so he was facing the King. "If you don't mind me asking, how many have joined your herd?" he said, trying to hide his intense curiousity. He raised his maw, and waited patiently for an anwser, hoping it was a large enough herd to leave him with a good mate.

He wathced the rain fall down. His auds flicked as the stag asked him how many joined his herd. "Well, I'll tell you their names." he paused for a minute ready to tell him the members names. "There is Swift, Shadow, Artava, River, Pouring Down Raine, Calli, Cernah, Liera, Jazira, Asianne, Celtic Rose, me and then you." He listed off the herd members callings to his new Warrior. He looked back outside to the pelting rain. He was silent so Night could ask more questions if he wished to do so.

The brute nodded with interest "Ah, I see." he paused for a long moment. "Is there a Queen?" Night asked quietly. He lowered his neck to it's usual height, and waited. The rain seemed to have stopped, but shortly after, it came back, now full throdle. He shook his mane, sending a few tiny droplets into the air, hitting the dust, instantly being absorbed. Night's amber eyes met the stags, and searched his face for signs of discomfort.

The ebony stag then asked if there was a Goddess to the land. Lassan turned his fine head to him and said "Yes there is. Her calling is River. If you are ever looking for her she is a blue roan paint Brumby, and a blue roan foal should be by her side." Lassan looking to the now drizzling droplets of rain. It would most likely drizzle for awhile. He walked out of the canopy of the trees and looked back to Night to see if he would stay or follow.

Night had nothing to say to his last words. He would be happy to meet the couple. Hopefully they could become friends. As the arab headed out, Night followed, hoping to see the rest of the herd. The water slowly washed the mud and persperation off of his coat, leaving it shiny and smooth. His mane and tail's tangles came undone, and gained there natural wave. He walked behind the semental, head low, feeling at ease as the liquid refreshed him. He was lagging, causing him to pick up his pace. He snorted, and lifted his maw, to look around.

Lassan was just walking, not really knowing where he was going. He only knew that he was off to find some herd members for the ebony stag to meet. He let out a sigh as the rain sped up a bit. He didn't mind it anymore. He never liked the rain, he had too much energy for him to stand under cover all day. He figured the ebony would follow himm around until they found some of the mares.

The brute followed the obsidian stag infront of him. As he passed a patch of tall grass , the ears of a fawn were quite visible. He guessed the mother had gone off a little ways to find some food, and would come back for it's offspring. Night felt the rain beat down harder on his hide as he kept his smooth pace at a walk. Night tried to make it un noticible as he smelt the air, searching for the scent of a fae. He didn't want to ac like that was all he was here for, since it wasn't. He lifted his head, and looked up at the sky. He struggled to keep the water drops out of his amber orbs as he searched the sky for a possible break that would allow the sun to shine through. He lowered his sculpted head back to the original height, and focused on infront of him.
OOC: Naw, it's fine. Mine's short too.

Lassan glanced to his side as he caught the movement of something in the brush, all he saw was a little fawn. Must be a new one. Lassan glanced around for the little deer's mother. He then spotted her and whinnied a greeting to her. The doe looked up and nodded her head. Lassan had known this doe for awhile, her name was Azure. Lassan then started to speak to his warrior. "So Night since you are Lead Warrior I want to ask you what kind of plans do you have to build up an army, and what types of horses are you looking for to be warriors?" He flicked his tail and waited for him to answer either or both of the questions asked.

The stag had an undeveloped plan in his mind. When he heard the King speak, after he finished, Night began to explain. "My plan is not yet well thought out, but it's on the way." he paused "I'm hoping to find a few equine that are sturdy, loyal, trusting, sly, and have a great deal of will power. Once I've got a small group of strong animals, I'd like to work y way up, and build an army that will last. When one is in foal, or injured, then another could substitute for them. If you find there are any flaws with my current idea, please do add." He said, while he walked.

Grazing away from the herd , on the edge of the forest, was a blue roan mare. Her coat was splatted with white. A colouful coat she had. Her build, though stocky was rather well defined and even. Lifting her head, the mare showed off a large white blaze on her face. SHe had heard movement. Hoofbeats from the forest. Shifting her weight warily, River moved towards a dark bungle near by. Standing over the shape, River stood alert. She waited for the appearance of the horses, not calling out incase there was a stranger in the lands.
Though River was lead mare, she was often away from the main herd. Though the herd usually always hung about away from each other. It was like that tonight as far as River knew. Each mare off where ever she would be. She knew a few we're close, but not exactly sure where. Flicking her tail, the roan lowered her head to nuzzle the foal at her feet, though careful not to wake her. River smiled, then returned to watching for the horses.
