The ebony stallion trotted onward, banner hanging close to the untouched soil. He held his head at a decent height, keeping his eye out for wandering mares. He shook his wavey mane, then snorted, picking up pace, so he'd get to his unplotted destination. By this time, Night was at a smooth canter. The scent of other equines wafted in the air, finding his notrils. At one point, he could smell the faint scent of a mare in heat, but ignored it, knowing he musen't get off track. He let out a shrill whinny, pushing his legs harder, trying to gain his original rythm. Sweat was beginning to cover his velvit hide. Suddenly the scent of a stallion was scattered about the land. Night's muscles bunched up as he raised his skull.
OOC: Sorry about the length, I kind of lost my muse.

Ebony stag lifted his crown as the scent of another drifted to his nares. The scent was that of a stallion. Lassan's auds shot forward and he galloped to where the scent had come from. There he saw him, obsidian coat, muscular build. "Who goes there?" his trong vioce echoed through the canyon walls. He trotted up to the stag, head held high.

Night casually shook his mane, trying to move his forelock from his liquid orbs. He then raised his head, and looked at the stallion straight in the eyes. "No need to be alarmed, I have no need of land at this time of my dwelling. I have come in spite of adventure, and possibly a home." he said, voice relaxed above and beyond the normal atmosphere of two stallions. He toom one step foreward, getting a better look at the stud, and once he had, he took two steps back.

As the stag spoke a smile came upon Lassan's dished face. Another stag in the land, good. "well if it a home you are looking for, you have found it. I am Lassan, and you are?" Lassan was hoping that this stag might be material for lead warrior. He would ask questions and tell him the rules later, for now he wanted to know the name of thi black brute.

OOC: No, no, it's fine. I'm doing the same.
Night's expression showed warmth when he heard the semental named Lassan, speak his next words. He gave a quick bow, showing that he respected the King infront of him. When he arose, he spoke his words as clear as a bell "Night is my name. I thank you for placing me in your herd. I shall try to please you in all ways possible." he said, taking one step forward. His eyes showed pride, compassion, and excellence.

His name was Night. "Welcome to the herd Night." Lassan said. He was now going to ask Night about where he came from and such. "Night, where is it that you come from?" Lassan had a series of questions to ask the stag before he ranked him. He hoped this one possesed the qualities of a warrior. He seemed strong enough, but Lassan would decide.

OOC: Ugh, same here.
"I was born in the West. My father was the Lead of the herd. That life made out to be nothing special, so I left. I eventually made my way here." he said, motioning with his head. He hadn't told Lassan the whole story, but planned to do so later on. Truth was, he was next in line to be King of the herd, but his younger brother wanted it alot more than him. Night was happy to go, leaving his sibling with the high rank.

Lassan listened as he spoke. Why would he leave if his father was lead? wouldn't that make Night next in line for the throne? It would be better not to ask questions now. Lassan ha been raised far from Terra Delle Liberta just as well. He had left due to other reasons. "What are your fighting capabilities and strategies?"

Night tilted his head in a quizzical manner, "Why do you ask?" he said politely, wondering what the stallion infront of him was thinking. He flicked his banner, driving the flies away for a short while, before taking a deep breath. He hoped he hadn't offended the stud in any way, for he had no intentions, nor were there any reasons for him to be.

The one dubbed night then asked Lassan wht did he want to know. "You see I have a rather large herd and no army. I need a good strong leader, and none of the mares seem to cut it. You can probably tell where I am going with this." He looked to the stag waiting for him to answer.

OOC: I'm kind of sick, so I'm keeping my cool no matter how awful I do.
Night nodded while Lassan spoke. After he was finished, he waited a moment. "Yes, indeed, I do. So, just to make sure I've got my head on straight, your asking what my capabilities are, to see if I would fit the specifications of a Warrior Leader?" he said, taking a deep breath after he said everything.

"That is correct. If you do not want the posistion you don't have to take it." He always gave his herd members a choice on taking their positions. Lassan flicked his ebony banner at a few flies that had decided to land on him and bite into his flesh. He glanced up to the sky which was becomming heavy with storm clouds.

Night snorted, then pawed the ground "I would be honered to take that position..." he said in a low voice, before looking up at the sky "Would it be possible for us to converse on our way to the herd? The sky doesn't seem too gay at the moment." he said, taking one consious step forward.
OOC: This post is horrid!

Lassan was glad the the obsidian stag was willing to take the position. He now had his Lead Warrior. He hoped Night proved to ba a good warrior. Only time would tell. Lassan looked up to the sky agian as Night spoke. "No, it doesn't seem to be too happy right now." He paused and then started to speak again. "Well, we'll make outr way to where most the herd members are, on the way I will tell you about Terra Delle Liberta and the rules of land. Follow mw." He turned and started to walk onward, not really waiting for the ebony brute.

Night followed the cavallo, taking long strides. The friesian looked up at the sky once more, then lowered his maw to a comfortable position. After the stud had spoken, he nodded, waiting for Lassan to explain the rules. He would need to learn them if he were to live here, there was no doubt about that. He passed a tree in which was deformed. A large quarter of it had been hit by lightening, Night guessed, looking at the space where the tree used to be. He'd fallen slightly behind, so he sped up into a trot until he was back on the King's heels. He tossed his head once, then snorted, feeling one of two drops of liquid leave the clouds, and spash on his neck. A few more escaped the canopy of leaves above, and hit him on the nose. After he ackoledged that it was raining, he ignored the numerous droplets.
