Dexter ___________________________
Dexter smiled a bit at her words. "Its alright. I guess I just have the kind of face that can be mistaken for another." he said with a shrug. Instead of putting his head back down to graze or to get a drink, Dexter kept his attention focused on the mare as his face twisted as he tried to think about something. "Um, this is a bit embarrassing, but where am I at exactly? I have been here for several days, but I have no clue where here is." Dexter was a wanderer. He never really knew where he was, but every chance he had to find out, he seized it.
The paint awkwardly flicked his tail as he waited for an answer. This moment of silence gave him a moment to really take a look at the horse he was talking to. She was pretty, as most mares were. She wasn't the overly gorgeous type, just was just pretty. She had good thing going for her. Under that pretty face dexter sensed there was something hidden, a type of evil. It was a silly thing to think, but it was now nagging him. Something about this mare was not right.

The mare lifted a brow. How could one not know where they are? "The Terra Scure?" Though the words weren't a question. They were an answer, but the tone at the end said she was confused even more by the stallion. She could tell this stallion was the bad guy type that she met yesterday. He seemed to be the goodie good type, which wasn't her. He wasn't really her type, not like the one yesterday. She stared silently, trying to figure out what happened to the other. She then turned her head, not worried about the glowing sign on her head that showed her breeding. The poll fell to the side of her arab type head as she took another drink from the small pool. She then lifted her head for a moment, and was ready to walk away, to find someone more in her range of destroying.

"Ahhhh. Okay" he mused once the mare answered his question. Dexter was a bit curious as to why there was an odd look on her face, almost a look of question as if she had never heard someone ask where they were. Perhaps it was because she assumed that everyone should know this place. Dexter had grown up far away from Terra Scure, never really knowing where it was. He had heard many stories about it (mind you most of them were horrible stories) and never really wished to go there. Now here he was, wandering in of his own free will. As he looked around with his chocolate orbs, he realised it really wasn't that horrible at all. Not to mention the only other horse he met here so far had been helpful. Perhaps she lived here and was putting on some kind of ruse to lull him into a false sense of security. No. That was absurd! the stallion had to fight back the urge of laughing at his own thoughts. Nevertheless he was here and was going to make the best of it.
"It probably seems a bit silly to be asking, I can tell by your voice, but truthfully I just wander. I started losing track of my journeys some times ago. Its more fun if where you end up is a surprise. Well to me at least it is." he informed her in a chipper voice, just trying to make conversation. It had been about a week since he had a proper conversation with another horse. Oh yes, there were birds and other critters that lived on the island, but Dexter preferred talking to horses. There was just something about talking to your own kind that made conversation... different.

L'amore è il Veleno looked over at the stallion. Though she hid the expression that wanted to be on her face. This stallion was odd. At least to her. Not knowing where you're wondering to be one grave mistake, and she understood that. She knew she wasn't completely defenseless. But she was just a mare, so she was more cautious than most horses. Her venom green eyes looked at him. Well, if he was going to hold conversation, why not have fun doing so. Her attitude towards him didn't change. She didn't want to be the one to change noticeably. She'll wait till he's distracted with her that he wouldn't notice. She said nonchalantly, "Well, that a bit odd. Most want to know where they go because their stories in some places are true. Like the Cerchi Di Avversione. A place of many places here of violent crimes." She spoke, her attention turned to the gaps between the trees, in the direction where the majority of the island lay from here.

"Yes, I'm sure they are." he mused after the mare spoke. "I just like adventure, even if it means taking myself into danger sometimes." he told her. Sometimes danger gave him a short thrill he needed, just a little thing to remind him that he was still alive in this world. "Aren't you worried about being out here then?" he asked, honestly curious about her. Mares would normally be afraid here, ready to go somewhere else. Not her. She seemed just fine. Perhaps his instincts were right about her, there was something dark in her and this was only her good side. Or he could be dead wrong and she could just be a strong mare and feel at ease in these lands. He admired horses who were like that. Sometimes he only wished that he could have that strength as well. There were many times when he felt like a coward, and in all reality, he probably was. But, after his childhood events it seemed to turn him into the paranoid horse that he was. That had saved his life more than once, and would probably continue to save his sorry hide for many more years to come.

The mare continued her stare into the woods. This place? threatening? This place was nothing. "It's not bad out here at all." She spoke, a tiny, hidden voice saying 'The only danger here is me.' Was this stallion sure he wanted to stay here and talk to her much longer. It could prove to be a hazard, to his own health. Not like he seemed to care too much. She kept her own independent stance there, only acting on the conversation. How much longer? Every her own patience was wearing thin, though she wasn't a patient mare in reality in first place. She was use to stallions who swoon for her, to try their chances of making her theirs. But she still has proved that she belongs to no one. How would this one be any different? She didn't let her little thoughts go past her mind, knowing all too well that the smile on her face would only give her away if revealed. She remained there, her face remained in the even look it eld, like she wanted ton converse as well, but of higher matters.

Dexter offered the mare a smile as she spoke. "Not afraid then, eh? Thats a good skill. Kudos to you." he told her. The stallion looked up to the cloud above. The sun was just peeking through, giving him a good look at its position. It was probably mid-day. There was something that told him that he should get out of there while he still could. Something about being around this mare that made him uneasy. Perhaps it was because of her unusual markings. She was an elemental. He knew that now. He was never around elementals much but it had finally dawned on him that this was, in fact, and elemental.
An excuse. He needed and excuse to get out of here. What did have to go to though? Nothing. Oh well he would just say that he had to go. It was the truth. He wanted to go, therefore, he had to go. "Pleasure meeting you miss, but I have other matters to attened to. Perhaps I shall see you in the near future." he said as he began to walk away.

"So do I." She spoke, feeling anger well up in her. He wasted her time. She glared at the trees for a moment. She needed something to. Well, half the day was wasted. She guess it was time to find a stallion she work before. At least she wouldn't need to get him up to a point of "I am in love" , like a new stallion would be, who ever it will be. Maybe she should head to the Allevare Mettono. Wait for a stallion to have a one night stand, to at least she say she's done something. Though, for a mare who lives on the herd lands, so doesn't ever really stay there. She snorted. And she hadn't been home from a while. She started to walk the way towards the Allevare Mettono, her mind going into a numbing boredness.
(Acreneaux should come out and be like, "My time to shine!" And follow her! XD)

Just before he walked out of this mare's life for ever, something stopped the painted stallion. His mind was reeling. Something about this mare was very familiar, yet he could not place it. She was certainly unique enough that he would have remembered her, right? Dexter had a very good memory, especially when it came to recognizing faces. No matter how hard he thought he could not remember when, if ever, he had seen the mare's face before. No. He hadn't.
Dexter was just about to walk away for the second time when he stopped dead in his tracks again. He slowly spun around and called out to her retreating form "Miss! Wait a second." With that he quickly jogged over to the smaller equine. "I know this is probably a very stupid question, and forgive me in advanced, but do I know you? You just seem very familiar to me." he informed her, hoping that she could offer some insight as to where he had met her before.

"I don't know. Do I seem like one that could be for familiar too." She spoke, hinting to when she spoke to this version of the stallion, or maybe completely different stallion. "It seems maybe we've bumped into each other before, because I don't forget anyone easily." She spoke as her mind mentally put victims in the place of one. She didn't seem to hint on that of what her mind truly thought. "And before, I did seem to remember you. Or maybe confused you with someone I've bumped into before." she said, lying, acting. An actress in play, her words so convincing that they were real to anyone but her. As she continued to walk forward, her mind started to think things out. If this was a twin of the other, he wouldn't look exactly like the other. Her eyes shifted to him as they took the looks of him in, recognizing the patterns easily. There's no way this one was a twin. They were completely, utterly identical. She turned as her head connect the only other thing. Multiple personalities. Her acting skills allowed her to hide her findings, though inside her mind screamed that it was two different equines held in one, sharing a single body. Her mind reeled. What was her chances of meeting a dual personality horse? It should of been none. But it seems there was a tiny percentage seem to change on her, to a larger one. The mare kept on walking forward, though it irked her.

"I guess so." he mused, looking thoughtfully up to the sky. Perhaps he had come across this mare when he was younger. She wasn't one of the fillies who he often played with when he was younger, he would have recognised her right away. Could she have passed him by on his travels and she had just become an oddly familiar face in his mind. That seemed to be the most logical answer.
"I apologise for wasting your time." he said with a small nod of his head. Danger. Thats what he felt when he was around her. There was something he really despised about this mare even though he had only spoken a few sentences to her. Strangely enough, part of him wanted to stay and talk to her; figure out what was making him so uneasy.
"I'm sorry, I never introduced myself. I'm Dexter." he said with a small nod of his crown. The patiently waited to see if she would continue on the conversation. Unfortunately for the paint, he had never heard the expression 'curiosity killed the cat'.

"Well, it was nice to met you." She spoke. "I'm L'amore è il Veleno, or just Vala for simpler means. Many here don't speak Italian very well or at all." Her words there did hold truth there. Many horses, from outside the island, didn't speak anything but their own language. And she many of them, learning from her victims. Any stallion to fall into her trap were fools. Did they honestly think she could love, even without her name that described her so well. Her love was venom. Slow and deadly. It destroys all. Her mind mentally smiled as her outsides let on to nothing she was thinking. She just seemed nonchalant on the outside, not caring but enjoying the conversation.

"What an interesting name." he mentioned. "I, sadly, do not speak Italian. My parents, and most of my herd, had come from a land called America. They, obviously do not speak your language there." he rambled on. Even though he may seem foolish on the outside, jabbering away, his mind was reeling inside, trying to figure this mare you.
"What does your name mean in English?" he asked her, hoping she would know. Anything to keep her talking, he would do it. The longer two horses talked, the more they knew each other. This was a valuable thing in this case. He would try to figure out her game, even if it took him awhile. Hell, he did not have anything better to do.

'Lie, my dear, lie.' She thought, and she knew how, too. She just simply said, in a voice that sounded like it was a bit bitter about it's translation. "Love Is Venom. Not really a chosen name, but I live with it. Maybe because I just never felt the need of really changing it. It comes in handy. It scares the stallions away that I don't like." She spoke the lie within a truth. Her name really did mean that, but she chose her name. And sometimes, it did scare stallions. Only the simple minded ones though. She tried not to smile in her usual way., with success of not even letting her mouth twitch. She was good at being an actress. Deciding to see if he was really dual personality, she decided she should ask the day. Usually they can't keep track of the days well, if at all. "Umm... Do you by chance know what day it is? I just wanna know. I kind of promised to be back to home in a few days. Just my big brother being a bit protective. I guess he just wants to make sure I'm alive every now and then." She spoke again. Like she had a brother. Her family didn't want another kid after her. She wasn't the one to win the best kid award by any means. She smiled softly, though she wished she could smirk.

"Thats very interesting." he mused. A strange name to call a child, but hey, to each their own. He did not see how that would deter anyone from her. A name is just a name, it does not define someone. Whats in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. "The ame does have some truth to it." he spoke. "Many a horse fall victim to love, or what they think it love. It can change them so much, warp their very being. It is certinaly a wise saying, er, name."
The stallion looked up to the sky as she asked him what day it was. How was he to know. All his life there had never been names for the days to his knowledge. Some horses had funny names for them, others counted from when the seasons had changed. "Fourteenth day of spring." he answered her, wondering why she wanted to know. He hoped she wasn't one of those who used fancy day names. "A brother, eh? I never had the pleasure of having any other siblings."
