There was a tangible feel of unease that settled into the very channels of his stomach as she stepped away, offering a reasonable explanation as she then merely moved casually around him without another sense of words. The cremello stallion stood, erect, neck raising a fraction as he watched her for a moment, for something was not exactly correct in her behavior. He knew the mare well enough to be able to detect the situation. Blue oculars shaded slightly as delicate head reached skyward, watching the hues blend as she was correct. It would be dark soon. What a fool he had been to indulge himself in such a childish manner! He was five winters old for sun's sake! He had shed the coat of delinquency years earlier, vowing to himself- Hollow let the sigh slip from his parted maw, feeling the ice make way across the shivering splinters of coat. His eyes watched the heavens fade, closing for a moment to reflect on the current happenings. Why could this not stay the same?
Every moment had an end, as he well knew, so with slightly labored gaits, he started off behind the mare, massive frame casting almost the illusion of a dancing shadow in the depths of flawless ivory sheen. The rock forming inside of him stayed, paining his mind with each step his took, guilty. This was his fault, of course. Ice Rose did not need this, but he would try to make it up to her. What would the mare like? Maybe he could find something. Nickering softly at her, he wished to assure her that he loved her, something that could never had been said before her. He had never loved anyone else, that was truth.
Each stride brought pain as mind reeled over the butterflies pooling in his mind as well as matter. There was something wrong, and the paint had no way of knowing what. Frustrated slightly, nostrils flared to released exhale that was lost. Expression fell as brows furrowed in thought, the trudging of his march behind the graceful fea almost comically unfashionable. Shivering from the cold, he sighed yet again. If he should fall ill in the night, Rose would worry for him, which pained him even with the thought. Stupid boy.

Rose was aware of the stallion behind her, hearing his gait being clumsy and his light call to her, though she refused to hear it, knowing she'd answer it, and she wanted to leave him as painlessly as she possibly could. She loved him greatly, but the mare felt guilty now. She was just going to follow her instincts had once before she met Hollow, which was protect self, hide self, and acknowledge no one unless forced. She moved forward stepping with the light foot steps she used when she was not use to her surroundings or when she was on the move, which she knew he never seen her like that. She knew she seemed off to the stallion, but at least it would be covered until morning, most likely. She looked to her right and the small patch of trees was down a slight hill. She stopped there and turned around to face him. "Um... I going to take a little moonlight walk. Please don't wait for me." Though she said no more, she hoped he'd listen to her, hoping he'd sleep, and wake to her usual morning absences. But she knew by evening, he'd figure it out, that she left the land, but by then she would have much land covered and she's be a unseeble ghost again.

The lost of breath that came with her declared audios to the stallion was the same as if a sharpened knife had been twisted brutally between his ribs. It was more so, as well as with the first, as the second statement was delivered and she began to move away. She was leaving him. Without a second glance. Mind reeled with torment as the rest of him rang with the calls of denial. She loved him, did she not? She would not do such a thing. Hollow battled himself with this as his blue oculars continued to pry upon her retreating form. Trust. Trust was the essential element of any relationship. He had to trust her. Try to trust her. He should not jump to conclusions. Weakly, he gave another nicker to her, trying to tell her in the audios how much he wished for her to stay.
Hollow stood, watching, as if in wait. He desperately hoped that his mind was only making up paranoid excuses, for he would not follow. Trust. Nostrils flared as the rest of his mind screamed to rush after her, make her understand something that he was forgetting. Yet, he stood, frozen, as mind churned helplessly and muscles quivered. Soon, she was gone from his sight, the sun having finally set overhead, and Scared of My Shadow turned away. Laying underneath the trees, he waited for as long as his eyes would hold open. Eventually, exhaustion gave way as he was caught in fitful sleep.
His demons were waiting for him, reclaiming his sight by night as he struggled against the hands of the men who had taken him aboard the ship. His squeals, lunges, bashing of them as they herded him by force into the dark confines of its underbelly. Darkness, broken by a single light. Ice Rose, galloping, nickering, toward him...no...away from him. Darkness coming once more as she moved away without looking back at the stag. Hurt. Pain. Gone. Where was she? She left. She left him. He would not allow that. The blue oculars snapped themselves open as something inside of him twisted. Greeting the new dawn.

(O.o Glad my tear ducts don't work right or I'd actually be bawling my eyes out right now!)
When Rose heard his call that night, she tried to stop her urge to go back to him and the tears, but the tears fell any who. She wanted to tell him everything would be alright and it would be for the best, but she had the feeling it would make everything worse on the both of them. The new spirit she seemed to gain was gone as she tried to fix the spot were her icy shield gave way to him. She stepped in old trails where hooves once landed before, to maybe to make sure he won't look for her, but she had the feeling, deep in her, that he search for her forever, but she must find a place he won't look for her, though she now doubted that he wouldn't even care what was stopping him. She walked through the night, past the boundaries of Lassan's land. The next thing Rose knew, when she was far from the land, she looked up to the peeking of dawn. 'Don't turn back.' she told herself as she felt herself wanting to fight and go back. By the time he figured out she left the land, she'd be in a completely different part of the island.

There was only a shiver. A quake. That small feeling pinned him to the board of reality as the wild-eyed stallion practically staggered to his feet, orbs hardening with a new realization. It was a wonder how dreams could take on the feel of reality when they really where telling a thick mind that reality had just hit them square in the face. A thick bubble of rage as well as anguish welled inside he throat, but he was hardening, fighting against all the feelings she had caused. The new day had given him reason to listen to himself. Listen to the blood pounding in his ears. She could not hide from him. A squeal finally burst from his tattered insides, ringing through the air with all the pain that had stuck into the insides of his ribs. Yes, life was a dream to the dead. He would not give in.
With long, even strides he moved out into the central of the valley, mind ticking as if a clock, steady, rythmatic. Long neck craned toward the sky as nostrils flared for a moment to catch scents on wind. Scared of My Shadow would have to find the stallion Lassan and declare his haste in leaving. Quietly, he moved forth under the covering of morning lights. Thinking to himself quite calmly where the mare would go to find leave of him. A wicked grin spread across his features as eyes sparked. Soon, she would run out of places to hide from him. Love was a sick, distorted disease that plagued those right out of their minds. He was no exception.
Tracking through Liberta, Hollow had discovered but two patches of prints that could possible meet Ice Rose's. She was smart, therefore she would try and cover them somehow, most likely in the prints of others. In this light, he would first follow the more heavily cratered ones where multiple equines had trekked before moving on to the lesser ones. Calling out into the stillness for Lassan, he had an edge to his step, almost as if a predator stalking through the expanse of snow.
